Commutators on Fock spaces

Given a weighted $\ell^2$ space with weights associated to an entire function, we consider pairs of weighted shift operators, whose commutators are diagonal operators, when considered as operators over a general Fock space. We establish a calculus for the algebra of these commutators and apply it to the general case of Gelfond-Leontiev derivatives. This general class of operators includes many known examples, like classic fractional derivatives and Dunkl operators. This allows us to establish a general framework which goes beyond the classic Weyl-Heisenberg algebra. Concrete examples for its application are provided.

Discrete Wiener Algebra in the Bicomplex Setting, Spectral Factorization with Symmetry, and Superoscillations

In this paper we present parallel theories on constructing Wiener algebras in the bicomplex setting. With the appropriate symmetry condition, the bicomplex matrix valued case can be seen as a complex valued case and, in this matrix valued case, we make the necessary connection between classical bicomplex analysis and complex analysis with symmetry. We also write an application to superoscillations in this case.

Finitely additive functions in measure theory and applications

We consider, and make precise, a certain extension of the Radon-Nikodym derivative operator, to functions which are additive, but not necessarily sigma-additive, on a subset of a given sigma-algebra. We give applications to probability theory; in particular, to the study of $μ$-Brownian motion, to stochastic calculus via generalized Itô-integrals, and their adjoints (in the form of generalized stochastic derivatives), to systems of transition probability operators indexed by families of measures $μ$, and to adjoints of composition operators.

Discrete analytic functions, structured matrices and a new family of moment problems

Using Zeilberger generating function formula for the values of a discrete analytic function in a quadrant we make connections with the theory of structured reproducing kernel spaces, structured matrices and a generalized moment problem. An important role is played by a Krein space realization result of Dijksma, Langer and de Snoo for functions analytic in a neighborhood of the origin. A key observation is that, using a simple Moebius transform, one can reduce the study of discrete analytic functions in the upper right quadrant to problems of function theory in the open unit disk. As an example, we associate to each finite positive measure on $[0,2π]$ a discrete analytic function on the right-upper quarter plane with values on the lattice defining a positive definite function. Emphasis is put on the rational case, both when an underlying Carathéodory function is rational and when, in the positive case, the spectral function is rational. The rational case and the general case are linked via the existence of a unitary dilation, possibly in a Krein space

A note on the complex and bicomplex valued neural networks

In this paper we first write a proof of the perceptron convergence algorithm for the complex multivalued neural networks (CMVNNs). Our primary goal is to formulate and prove the perceptron convergence algorithm for the bicomplex multivalued neural networks (BMVNNs) and other important results in the theory of neural networks based on a bicomplex algebra.

Reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of polyanalytic functions of infinite order

In this paper we introduce reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of polyanalytic functions of infinite order. First we study in details the counterpart of the Fock space and related results in this framework. In this case the kernel function is given by $\displaystyle e^{z\overline{w}+\overline{z}w}$ which can be connected to kernels of polyanalytic Fock spaces of finite order. Segal-Bargmann and Berezin type transforms are also considered in this setting. Then, we study the reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces of complex-valued functions with reproducing kernel $\displaystyle\frac{1}{(1-z\overline{w})(1-\overline{z}w)}$ and $\displaystyle\frac{1}{1-2{\rm Re}\, z\overline{w}}$. The corresponding backward shift operators are introduced and investigated.

Poly slice monogenic functions, Cauchy formulas and the PS-functional calculus

Since 2006 the theory of slice hyperholomorphic functions and the related spectral theory on the S-spectrum have had a very fast development. This new spectral theory based on the S-spectrum has applications, for example, in the formulation of quaternionic quantum mechanics, in Schur analysis and in fractional diffusion problems. In this paper we introduce and study the theory of poly slice monogenic functions, also proving some Cauchy type integral formulas. Then we introduce the associated functional calculus, called PS-functional calculus, which is the polyanalytic version of the S-functional calculus and which is based on the notion of S-spectrum. We study some different formulations of the calculus and we prove some of its properties, among which the product rules.

On a polyanalytic a approach to noncommutative de Branges-Rovnyak spaces and Schur analysis

In this paper we begin the study of Schur analysis and de Branges-Rovnyak spaces in the framework of Fueter hyperholomorphic functions. The difference with other approaches is that we consider the class of functions spanned by Appell-like polynomials. This approach is very efficient from various points of view, for example in operator theory, and allows to make connections with the recently developed theory of slice polyanalytic functions. We tackle a number of problems: we describe a Hardy space, Schur multipliers and related results. We also discuss Blaschke functions, Herglotz multipliers and their associated kernels and Hilbert spaces. Finally, we consider the counterpart of the half-space case, and the corresponding Hardy space, Schur multipliers and Carathéodory multipliers.

Discrete analytic Schur functions

We introduce the Schur class of functions, discrete analytic on the integer lattice in the complex plane. As a special case, we derive the explicit form of discrete analytic Blaschke factors and solve the related basic interpolation problem.

Generalized Grassmann algebras and applications to stochastic processes

In this paper we present the groundwork for an Itô/Malliavin stochastic calculus and Hida's white noise analysis in the context of a supersymmentry with Z3-graded algebras. To this end we establish a ternary Fock space and the corresponding strong algebra of stochastic distributions and present its application in the study of stochastic processes in this context.

On slice polyanalytic functions of a quaternionic variable

In this paper, we introduce the quaternionic slice polyanalytic functions and we prove some of their properties. Then, we apply the obtained results to begin the study of the quaternionic Fock and Bergman spaces in this new setting. In particular, we give explicit expressions of their reproducing kernels.

Fock and Hardy spaces: Clifford-Appell case

In this paper, we study a specific system of Clifford-Appell polynomials and in particular their product. Moreover, we introduce a new family of quaternionic reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces in the framework of Fueter regular functions. The construction is based on a general idea which allows to obtain various function spaces, by specifying a suitable sequence of real numbers. We focus on the Fock and Hardy cases in this setting, and we study the action of the Fueter mapping and its range.

On the global operator and Fueter mapping theorem for slice polyanalytic functions

In this paper, we prove that slice polyanalytic functions on quaternions can be considered as solutions of a power of some special global operator with nonconstant coefficients as it happens in the case of slice hyperholomorphic functions. We investigate also an extension version of the Fueter mapping theorem in this polyanalytic setting. In particular, we show that under axially symmetric conditions it is always possible to construct Fueter regular and poly-Fueter regular functions through slice polyanalytic ones using what we call the poly-Fueter mappings. We study also some integral representations of these results on the quaternionic unit ball.

White Noise Space Analysis and Multiplicative Change of Measures

In this paper we display a family of Gaussian processes, with explicit formulas and transforms. This is presented with the use of duality tools in such a way that the corresponding path-space measures are mutually singular. We make use of a corresponding family of representations of the canonical commutation relations (CCR) in an infinite number of degrees of freedom. A key feature of our construction is explicit formulas for associated transforms; these are infinite-dimensional analogues of Fourier transforms. Our framework is that of Gaussian Hilbert spaces, reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces, and Fock spaces. The latter forms the setting for our CCR representations. We further show, with the use of representation theory, and infinite-dimensional analysis, that our pairwise inequivalent probability spaces (for the Gaussian processes) correspond in an explicit manner to pairwise disjoint CCR representations.

New characterizations of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces and applications to metric geometry

We give two new global and algorithmic constructions of the reproducing kernel Hilbert space associated to a positive definite kernel. We further present ageneral positive definite kernel setting using bilinear forms, and we provide new examples. Our results cover the case of measurable positive definite kernels, and we give applications to both stochastic analysisand metric geometry and provide a number of examples.

Infinite order differential operators acting on entire hyperholomorphic functions

Infinite order differential operators appear in different fields of Mathematics and Physics and in the last decades they turned out to be of fundamental importance in the study of the evolution of superoscillations as initial datum for Schrödinger equation. Inspired by the operators arising in quantum mechanics, in this paper we investigate the continuity of a class of infinite order differential operators acting on spaces of entire hyperholomorphic functions. The two classes of hyperholomorphic functions, that constitute a natural extension of functions ofone complex variable to functions of paravector variables are illustrated by the Fueter-Sce-Qian mapping theorem. We show that, even though the two notions of hyperholomorphic functions are quite different from each other, entire hyperholomorphic functions with exponential bounds play a crucial role in the continuity of infinite order differential operators acting on these two classes of entire hyperholomorphic functions. We point out the remarkable fact that the exponential function of a paravector variable is not in the kernel of the Dirac operator but entire monogenic functions with exponential bounds play an important role in the theory.

de Branges spaces on compact Riemann surfaces and a Beurling-Lax type theorem

Using the notion of commutative operator vessels, this work investigates de Branges-Rovnyak spaces whose elements are sections of a line bundle of multiplicative half-order differentials on a compact real Riemann surface. As a special case, we obtain a Beurling-Lax type theorem in the setting of the corresponding Hardy space on a finite bordered Riemann surface.
