Barrow black hole corrected-entropy model and Tsallis nonextensivity

The quantum scenario concerning Hawking radiation, gives us a precious clue that a black hole has its temperature directly connected to its area gravity and that its entropy is proportional to the horizon area. These results have shown that there exist a deep association between thermodynamics and gravity. The recently introduced Barrow formulation of back holes entropy, influenced by the spacetime geometry, shows the quantum fluctuations effects through Barrow exponent, $Δ$, where $Δ=0$ represents the usual spacetime and its maximum value, $Δ=1$, characterizes a fractal spacetime. The quantum fluctuations are responsible for such fractality. Loop quantum gravity approach provided the logarithmic corrections to the entropy. This correction arises from quantum and thermal equilibrium fluctuations. In this paper we have analyzed the nonextensive thermodynamical effects of the quantum fluctuations upon the geometry of a Barrow black hole. We discussed the Tsallis' formulation of this logarithmically corrected Barrow entropy to construct the equipartition law. Besides, we obtained a master equation that provides the equipartition law for any value of the Tsallis $q$-parameter and we analyzed several different scenarios. After that, the heat capacity were calculated and the thermal stability analysis was carried out as a function of the main parameters, namely, one of the so-called pre-factors, $q$ and $Δ$.

Thermostatistical analysis for short-range interaction Potentials

In this paper, we study the thermodynamics of short-range central potentials, namely, the Lee-Wick potential, and the Plasma potential. In the first part of the paper we obtain the numerical solution for the orbits equation for these potentials. Posteriorly, we introduce the thermodynamics through the microcanonical and canonical ensembles formalism defined on the phase space of the system. We calculate the density of states associated with the Lee-Wick and the Plasma potentials. From density of states, we obtain the thermodynamical physical quantities like entropy and temperature as functions of the energy. We also use the Boltzmann-Gibbs formalism to obtain the partition functions, the mean energy and the thermal capacity for these short-range potentials.

Dust content solutions for the Alcubierre warp drive spacetime

The Alcubierre metric is a spacetime geometry where a massive particle inside a spacetime distortion, called warp bubble, is able to travel at velocities arbitrarily higher than the velocity of light, a feature known as the warp drive. This is a consequence of general relativity, which allows global superluminal velocities but restricts local speeds to subluminal ones as required by special relativity. In this work we solved the Einstein equations for the Alcubierre warp drive spacetime geometry considering the dust matter distribution as source, since the Alcubierre metric was not originally advanced as a solution of the Einstein equations, but as a spacetime geometry proposed without a source gravity field. We found out that all Einstein equations solutions of this geometry containing pressureless dust lead to vacuum solutions. We also concluded that these solutions connect the Alcubierre metric to the Burgers equation, which describes shock waves moving through an inviscid fluid. Our results also indicated that these shock waves behave as plane waves.

A general relativity formulation for the Doplicher-Fredenhagen-Roberts noncommutative space-time

The Doplicher, Fredenhagen and Roberts (DFR) noncommutative (NC) formalism is propose in a curved space-time. In DFR approach, the NC parameter is promoted to the set of coordinates of the space-time. As consequence, the field theory defined on this space contains extra dimensions. We propose a metric containing the new coordinates to explain the length measurements of this extended space. We promote the Minkowski part of this extended metric to a metric defined in a curved manifold. Thus, we can build up a NC gravitation model with extra-dimensions. Based on the curved metric, we propose an Einstein-Hilbert action to describe the NC gravitation model on the DFR space. We present the NC version for the gravitational field equations. The weak field approximation is considered in the field equations to obtain the wave equations for the graviton propagation on the DFR space.

On the equipartition theorem and black holes nongaussian entropies

In this Letter we have shown that, from the standard thermodynamic functions, the mathematical form of an equipartition theorem may be related to the algebraic expression of a particular entropy initially chosen to describe the black hole thermodynamics. Namely, we have different equipartition expressions for distinct statistics. To this end, four different mathematical expressions for the entropy have been selected to demonstrate our objective. Furthermore, a possible phase transition is observed in the heat capacity behavior of the Tsallis and Cirto entropy model.

Revealing hidden symmetries and gauge invariance of the massive Carroll-Field-Jackiw model

In this paper we have analyzed the improved version of the Gauge Unfixing (GU) formalism of the massive Carroll-Field-Jackiw model, which breaks both the Lorentz and gauge invariances, to disclose hidden symmetries to obtain gauge invariance, the key stone of the Standard Model. In this process, as usual, we have converted this second-class system into a first-class one and we have obtained two gauge invariant models. We have verified that the Poisson brackets involving the gauge invariant variables, obtained through the GU formalism, coincide with the Dirac brackets between the original second-class variables of the phase space. Finally, we have obtained two gauge invariant Lagrangians where one of them represents the Stueckelberg form.

Barrow's black hole entropy and the equipartition theorem

The Barrow entropy appears from the fact that the black hole surface can be modified due to quantum gravitational outcome. The measure of this perturbation is given by a new exponent $Δ$. In this letter we have shown that, from the standard mathematical form of the equipartition theorem, we can relate it with Barrow entropy. From this equivalence, we have calculated precisely the value of the exponent for the equipartition law. After that, we tested the thermodynamical coherence of the system by calculating the heat capacity which established an interval of the possible thermodynamical coherent values of Barrow entropic exponent and corroborated our first result.

High-derivatives and massive electromagnetic models in the Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi spacetime

The Maxwell electromagnetic theory embedded in an inhomogeneous Lema\^ıtre-Tolman-Bondi (LTB) spacetime background was described a few years back in the literature. However, terms concerning the mass or high-derivatives were no explored. In this work we studied the inhomogeneous spacetime effects on high-derivatives and massive electromagnetic models. We used the LTB metric and calculated the physical quantities of interest, namely the scale factor, density of the electromagnetic field and Hubble constant, for the Proca and higher-derivative Podolsky models. We found a new singularity in both models, and that the magnetic field must be zero in the Proca model.

Black holes quasinormal modes, Loop Quantum Gravity Immirzi parameter and nonextensive statistics

It is argued that, using the black hole area entropy law together with the Boltzmann-Gibbs statistical mechanics and the quasinormal modes of the black holes, it is possible to determine univocally the lowest possible value for the spin $j$ in the context of the Loop Quantum Gravity theory which is $j_{min}=1$. Consequently, the value of Immirzi parameter is given by $γ= \ln 3/(2π\sqrt{2})$. In this paper, we have shown that if we use Tsallis microcanonical entropy rather than Boltzmann-Gibbs framework then the minimum value of the label $j$ depends on the nonextensive $q$-parameter and may have values other than $j_{min}=1$.

Oscillations in the Tsallis income distribution

Oscillations in the complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) of individual income data have been found in the data of various countries studied by different authors at different time periods, but the dynamical origins of this behavior are currently unknown. Although these datasets can be fitted by different functions at different income ranges, the Tsallis distribution has recently been found capable of fitting the whole distribution by means of only two parameters. This procedure showed clearly such oscillatory feature in the entire income range feature, but made it particularly visible at the tail of the distribution. Although log-periodic functions fitted to the data are capable of describing this behavior, a different approach to naturally disclose such oscillatory characteristics is to allow the Tsallis $q$-parameter to become complex. In this paper we use this idea in order to describe the behavior of the CCDF of the Brazilian personal income recently studied empirically by Soares et al.\ (2016). Typical elements of periodic motion, such as amplitude and angular frequency coupled to this income analysis, were obtained by means of this approach. A highly non-linear function for the CCDF was obtained through this methodology and a numerical test showed it capable of recovering the main oscillatory feature of the original CCDF of the personal income data of Brazil.

Forecast on lepton asymmetry from future CMB experiments

We consider a cosmological lepton asymmetry in the form of neutrinos and impose new expected sensitivities on such asymmetry through the degeneracy parameter ($ξ_ν$) by using some future CMB experiment configurations, such as CORE and CMB-S4. Taking the default scenario with three neutrino states, we find $ξ_μ = 0.05 \pm 0.10 \, (\pm \, 0.04)$, from CORE (CMB-S4) at 95 percent CL, respectively. Also, within this scenario, we evaluate the neutrino mass scale, obtaining that the normal hierarchy mass scheme is privileged. Our results are an update concerning on the cosmological lepton asymmetry and the neutrino mass scale within this context, from which can bring a perspective on the null hypothesis for $ξ_ν$ (and its effects on $ΔN_{\rm eff}$), where perhaps, \textbf{$ξ_ν$} may take a non-null value up to 95 percent CL from future experiments such as CMB-S4. Sensitivity results for CMB-S4 obtained here not including all expected systematic errors.

Non-Gaussian thermostatistical considerations upon the Saha equation

The Saha equation provides the relation between two consecutive ionization state populations, like the Maxwell-Boltzmann velocity distribution of the atoms in a gas ensemble. Saha equation can also consider the partitions functions for both states and its main application is in stellar astrophysics population statistics. This paper presents two non-Gaussian thermostatistical generalizations for the Saha equation: the first one towards the Tsallis nonextensive $q$-entropy and the other one is based upon Kaniadakis $κ$-statistics. Both thermostatistical formalisms are very successful when used in several complex astrophysical statistical systems and we have demonstrated here that they work also in Saha's ionization distribution. We have obtained new chemical $q$-potentials and their respective graphical regions with a well defined boundary that separated the two symmetric intervals for the $q$-potentials. The asymptotic behavior of the $q$-potential was also discussed. Besides the proton-electron, we have also investigated the complex atoms and pair production ionization reactions.

The unphysical character of dark energy fluids

It is well known that, in the context of general relativity, an unknown kind of matter that must violate the strong energy condition is required to explain the current accelerated phase of expansion of the Universe. This unknown component is called dark energy and is characterized by an equation of state parameter $w=p/ρ<-1/3$. Thermodynamic stability requires that $3w-d\ln |w|/d\ln a\ge0$ and positiveness of entropy that $w\ge-1$. In this paper we proof that we cannot obtain a differentiable function $w(a)$ to represent the dark energy that satisfies these conditions trough the entire history of the Universe.

Loop Quantum Gravity Immirzi parameter and the Kaniadakis statistics

In this letter we have shown that a possible connection between the LQG Immirzi parameter and the area of a punctured surface can emerge depending on the thermostatistics theory previously chosen. Starting from the Boltzmann-Gibbs entropy, the Immirzi parameter can be reobtained. Using the Kaniadakis statistics, which is an important non-Gaussian statistics, we have derived a new relation between the Immirzi parameter, the kappa parameter and the area of a punctured surface. After that, we have compared our result with the Immirzi parameter previously obtained in the literature within the context of Tsallis' statistics. We have demonstrated in an exact way that the LQG Immirzi parameter can also be used to compare both Kaniadakis and Tsallis statics.

Tsallis and Kaniadakis statistics from a point of view of the holographic equipartition law

In this work, we have illustrated the difference between both Tsallis and Kaniadakis entropies through cosmological models obtained from the formalism proposed by Padmanabhan, which is called holographic equipartition law. Similarly to the formalism proposed by Komatsu, we have obtained an extra driving constant term in the Friedmann equation if we deform the Tsallis entropy by Kaniadakis' formalism. We have considered initially Tsallis entropy as the Black Hole (BH) area entropy. This constant term may lead the universe to be in an accelerated mode. On the other hand, if we start with the Kaniadakis entropy as the BH area entropy and then by modifying the Kappa expression by Tsallis' formalism, the same constant, which shows that the universe have an acceleration is obtained. In an opposite limit, no driving inflation term of the early universe was derived from both deformations.

Tsallis' entropy, modified Newtonian accelerations and the Tully-Fisher relation

In this paper we have shown that the connection between the number of bits and the area of the holographic screen, where both were established in Verlinde's theory of entropic gravity, may depend on the thermostatistics theory previously chosen. Starting from the Boltzmann-Gibbs (BG) theory, we have reobtained the usual dependency of both, bits number and area. After that, using Tsallis' entropy concept within the entropic gravity formalism, we have derived another relation between the bits number and the holographic screen area. Moreover, we have used this new relation to derive three Newtonian-type accelerations in the context of Tsallis' statistics. Moreover, we have used this new relation to derive three Newtonian-type acceleration in the context of Tsallis statistics which are a modified gravitational acceleration, a modified MOND theory and a modified Friedmann equation. We have obtained the nonextensive version of the Tully-Fisher (TF) relation which shows a dependency of the distance of the star in contrast to the standard TF expression. The BG limit gives the standard TF law.

Holographic Dark Energy from Fluid/Gravity Duality Constraint by Cosmological Observations

In this paper, we obtain a holographic model of dark energy using the fluid/gravity duality. This model will be dual to a higher dimensional Schwarzschild black hole, and we would use fluid/gravity duality to relate to the parameters of this black hole to such a cosmological model. We will also analyze the thermodynamics of such a solution, and discuss the stability model. Finally, we use cosmological data to constraint the parametric space of this dark energy model. Thus, we will use observational data to perform cosmography for this holographic model based on fluid/gravity duality.

Classical electrodynamics and gauge symmetry of the X-boson

In this paper we have obtained several new results concerning the X-boson, which is being considered recently as one of the main candidate of the dark matter particle content. The classical electrodynamics for the X-boson model was explored to understand its propagation in space-time. The field equations (Maxwell-type) and the corresponding wave equations were obtained. They indicate the dispersion relations of both a massive and massless particles. These results can be interpreted as a photon and the X-boson (with a mass of 17 MeV), respectively. The gauge symmetry and gauge transformations were discussed. A full model diagonalization was introduced to obtain a Maxwell sector added up to a Proca sector. After that, we have obtained the retarded Green functions which yield the inhomogeneous solutions of the wave equations for the X-boson fields. We have applied this solution to the charge point motion, and we transformed the potential solution to a quadrature problem. In particular, as an example, we have analyzed the point charge in a straight line uniform motion, where the corresponding electromagnetic charge were calculated.
