C3PO V: Comoving stellar pairs indicate rotational spin-down drives the main-sequence Li-Dip

The lithium-dip observed in mid-F dwarfs remains a long-standing challenge for stellar evolution models. We present high-precision stellar parameters and A(Li) for 22 new comoving pairs, primarily located on the hotter side of the Li-Dip. Combined with pairs from the C3PO catalog, our sample includes 124 stars with Teff between 6000 and 7300 K, encompassing and extending slightly beyond the Li-Dip. Among them, 49 comoving pairs (98 stars) have both components within the temperature range of interest. Using this expanded set of comoving pairs observed with high-resolution spectroscopy, we show that rotational spin-down is the dominant process responsible for Li depletion in the Li-Dip. First, within comoving pairs, the star with v sin i > 12 km/s shows higher A(Li) than its more slowly rotating companion within the Li-Dip, indicating that rotation-dependent mixing drives lithium depletion. Second, we observe a correlation between A(Li) and v sin i: fast rotators retain higher A(Li) with less scatter, while slow rotators show lower A(Li) and greater dispersion. Third, among slow rotators, A(Li) varies widely, suggesting that differences in initial rotation rates and spin-down histories influence how much Li is depleted. Some stars may have formed as fast rotators and spun down rapidly, leading to more Li depletion, while others may have started as slow rotators and retained more of their initial Li. These results demonstrate that rotational induced mixing plays an important role in shaping the Li-Dip beyond the effects of stellar age and mass.

$\text{M}^3\text{PDB}$: A Multimodal, Multi-Label, Multilingual Prompt Database for Speech Generation

Recent advancements in zero-shot speech generation have enabled models to synthesize speech that mimics speaker identity and speaking style from speech prompts. However, these models' effectiveness is significantly limited in real-world scenarios where high-quality speech prompts are absent, incomplete, or out of domain. This issue arises primarily from a significant quality mismatch between the speech data utilized for model training and the input prompt speech during inference. To address this, we introduce $\text{M}^3\text{PDB}$, the first large-scale, multi-modal, multi-label, and multilingual prompt database designed for robust prompt selection in speech generation. Our dataset construction leverages a novel multi-modal, multi-agent annotation framework, enabling precise and hierarchical labeling across diverse modalities. Furthermore, we propose a lightweight yet effective prompt selection strategy tailored for real-time, resource-constrained inference settings. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed database and selection strategy effectively support various challenging speech generation scenarios. We hope our work can inspire the community to shift focus from improving performance on standard benchmarks to addressing more realistic and diverse application scenarios in speech generation. Planets Around Solar Twins/Analogs (PASTA) II: chemical abundances, systematic offsets, and clues to planet formation

Context. Previous studies have suggested that the Sun is relatively depleted in refractory elements compared to other solar twins or analogs, potentially as a result of planet formation. However, such conclusions are often limited by inhomogeneous samples and a lack of direct comparison with stars known to host planets. Aims. We aim to perform a homogeneous and precise abundance analysis of solar twins and analogs that host planets, to investigate possible chemical signatures associated with planet formation. Methods. We obtain high-resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio Magellan/MIKE spectra for 25 solar-like stars, including 22 confirmed or candidate planet hosts and three comparison stars. Stellar parameters and elemental abundances for 23 elements (from C to Eu) are derived through a strict line-by-line differential analysis relative to the Sun. Results. Our sample spans [Fe/H] = -0.23 to +0.18 dex and includes 20 solar analogs, six of which are solar twins. Typical abundance uncertainties range from 0.01 to 0.05 dex for lighter elements (e.g., Fe, Si, C, O, Na) and up to 0.1 dex for neutron-capture elements. The Sun is consistently depleted in refractory elements relative to all solar analogs and twins, regardless of planet type. Stars hosting small planets tentatively show slightly stronger refractory element depletion than those hosting giant planets, though the difference is not yet statistically significant. Conclusions. We emphasize the need for strictly differential, line-by-line analyses relative to the Sun, as well as careful consideration of systematic differences between instruments, to ensure consistency and the homogeneity required to achieve our goals.

Performance Comparison of HTTP/3 and HTTP/2 with Proxy Integration

This paper systematically evaluates the performance of QUIC/HTTP3 (H3) and TCP/HTTP2 (H2) in proxy-enhanced environments. H3 integrates UDP-based flow-controlled streams, built-in TLS, multiplexing, and connection migration to better support modern web communication. While prior studies show that H3 can outperform or underperform H2 depending on network conditions, the role of proxies and connection migration remains underexplored. We assess a variety of H2 and H3 client implementations across, particularly in lossy networks and proxy setups. Our findings show that proxies can significantly enhance H2 performance, yielding a 90% improvement in single-stream downloads under severe impairments when used with the BBR congestion control algorithm. In contrast, proxies have minimal impact on H3, which maintains consistent performance due to its internal mechanisms. H3 excels under high-loss and high-latency conditions, leveraging connection migration and multiplexing to deliver up to 88.36% improvement in migration scenarios and 81.5% in extreme loss cases. While optimized H2 can match H3 in some settings, H3 is more robust overall, showing less sensitivity to proxies, impairments, and congestion control variations.

CP-OFDM Achieves the Lowest Average Ranging Sidelobe Under QAM/PSK Constellations

This paper aims to answer a fundamental question in the area of Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC): What is the optimal communication-centric ISAC waveform for ranging? Towards that end, we first established a generic framework to analyze the sensing performance of communication-centric ISAC waveforms built upon orthonormal signaling bases and random data symbols. Then, we evaluated their ranging performance by adopting both the periodic and aperiodic auto-correlation functions (P-ACF and A-ACF), and defined the expectation of the integrated sidelobe level (EISL) as a sensing performance metric. On top of that, we proved that among all communication waveforms with cyclic prefix (CP), the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation is the only globally optimal waveform that achieves the lowest ranging sidelobe for quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) and phase shift keying (PSK) constellations, in terms of both the EISL and the sidelobe level at each individual lag of the P-ACF. As a step forward, we proved that among all communication waveforms without CP, OFDM is a locally optimal waveform for QAM/PSK in the sense that it achieves a local minimum of the EISL of the A-ACF. Finally, we demonstrated by numerical results that under QAM/PSK constellations, there is no other orthogonal communication-centric waveform that achieves a lower ranging sidelobe level than that of the OFDM, in terms of both P-ACF and A-ACF cases.

User Invariant Preference Learning for Multi-Behavior Recommendation

In multi-behavior recommendation scenarios, analyzing users' diverse behaviors, such as click, purchase, and rating, enables a more comprehensive understanding of their interests, facilitating personalized and accurate recommendations. A fundamental assumption of multi-behavior recommendation methods is the existence of shared user preferences across behaviors, representing users' intrinsic interests. Based on this assumption, existing approaches aim to integrate information from various behaviors to enrich user representations. However, they often overlook the presence of both commonalities and individualities in users' multi-behavior preferences. These individualities reflect distinct aspects of preferences captured by different behaviors, where certain auxiliary behaviors may introduce noise, hindering the prediction of the target behavior. To address this issue, we propose a user invariant preference learning for multi-behavior recommendation (UIPL for short), aiming to capture users' intrinsic interests (referred to as invariant preferences) from multi-behavior interactions to mitigate the introduction of noise. Specifically, UIPL leverages the paradigm of invariant risk minimization to learn invariant preferences. To implement this, we employ a variational autoencoder (VAE) to extract users' invariant preferences, replacing the standard reconstruction loss with an invariant risk minimization constraint. Additionally, we construct distinct environments by combining multi-behavior data to enhance robustness in learning these preferences. Finally, the learned invariant preferences are used to provide recommendations for the target behavior. Extensive experiments on four real-world datasets demonstrate that UIPL significantly outperforms current state-of-the-art methods.

THOR: Transformer Heuristics for On-Demand Retrieval

We introduce the THOR (Transformer Heuristics for On-Demand Retrieval) Module, designed and implemented by eSapiens, a secure, scalable engine that transforms natural-language questions into verified, read-only SQL analytics for enterprise databases. The Text-to-SQL module follows a decoupled orchestration/execution architecture: a Supervisor Agent routes queries, Schema Retrieval dynamically injects table and column metadata, and a SQL Generation Agent emits single-statement SELECT queries protected by a read-only guardrail. An integrated Self-Correction & Rating loop captures empty results, execution errors, or low-quality outputs and triggers up to five LLM-driven regeneration attempts. Finally, a Result Interpretation Agent produces concise, human-readable insights and hands raw rows to the Insight & Intelligence engine for visualization or forecasting. Smoke tests across finance, sales, and operations scenarios demonstrate reliable ad-hoc querying and automated periodic reporting. By embedding schema awareness, fault-tolerant execution, and compliance guardrails, the THOR Module empowers non-technical users to access live data with zero-SQL simplicity and enterprise-grade safety.

Unleashing Vision Foundation Models for Coronary Artery Segmentation: Parallel ViT-CNN Encoding and Variational Fusion

Accurate coronary artery segmentation is critical for computeraided diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD), yet it remains challenging due to the small size, complex morphology, and low contrast with surrounding tissues. To address these challenges, we propose a novel segmentation framework that leverages the power of vision foundation models (VFMs) through a parallel encoding architecture. Specifically, a vision transformer (ViT) encoder within the VFM captures global structural features, enhanced by the activation of the final two ViT blocks and the integration of an attention-guided enhancement (AGE) module, while a convolutional neural network (CNN) encoder extracts local details. These complementary features are adaptively fused using a cross-branch variational fusion (CVF) module, which models latent distributions and applies variational attention to assign modality-specific weights. Additionally, we introduce an evidential-learning uncertainty refinement (EUR) module, which quantifies uncertainty using evidence theory and refines uncertain regions by incorporating multi-scale feature aggregation and attention mechanisms, further enhancing segmentation accuracy. Extensive evaluations on one in-house and two public datasets demonstrate that the proposed framework significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods, achieving superior performance in accurate coronary artery segmentation and showcasing strong generalization across multiple datasets. eSapiens's DEREK Module: Deep Extraction & Reasoning Engine for Knowledge with LLMs

We present the DEREK (Deep Extraction & Reasoning Engine for Knowledge) Module, a secure and scalable Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipeline designed specifically for enterprise document question answering. Designed and implemented by eSapiens, the system ingests heterogeneous content (PDF, Office, web), splits it into 1,000-token overlapping chunks, and indexes them in a hybrid HNSW+BM25 store. User queries are refined by GPT-4o, retrieved via combined vector+BM25 search, reranked with Cohere, and answered by an LLM using CO-STAR prompt engineering. A LangGraph verifier enforces citation overlap, regenerating answers until every claim is grounded. On four LegalBench subsets, 1000-token chunks improve Recall@50 by approximately 1 pp and hybrid+rerank boosts Precision@10 by approximately 7 pp; the verifier raises TRACe Utilization above 0.50 and limits unsupported statements to less than 3%. All components run in containers, enforce end-to-end TLS 1.3 and AES-256. These results demonstrate that the DEREK module delivers accurate, traceable, and production-ready document QA with minimal operational overhead. The module is designed to meet enterprise demands for secure, auditable, and context-faithful retrieval, providing a reliable baseline for high-stakes domains such as legal and finance.

Simultaneous Localization and Mapping Using Active mmWave Sensing in 5G NR

Millimeter-wave (mmWave) 5G New Radio (NR) communication systems, with their high-resolution antenna arrays and extensive bandwidth, offer a transformative opportunity for high-throughput data transmission and advanced environmental sensing. Although passive sensing-based SLAM techniques can estimate user locations and environmental reflections simultaneously, their effectiveness is often constrained by assumptions of specular reflections and oversimplified map representations. To overcome these limitations, this work employs a mmWave 5G NR system for active sensing, enabling it to function similarly to a laser scanner for point cloud generation. Specifically, point clouds are extracted from the power delay profile estimated from each beam direction using a binary search approach. To ensure accuracy, hardware delays are calibrated with multiple predefined target points. Pose variations of the terminal are then estimated from point cloud data gathered along continuous trajectory viewpoints using point cloud registration algorithms. Loop closure detection and pose graph optimization are subsequently applied to refine the sensing results, achieving precise terminal localization and detailed radio map reconstruction. The system is implemented and validated through both simulations and experiments, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Co-Design of Sensing, Communications, and Control for Low-Altitude Wireless Networks

The rapid advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) services and the evolution toward the sixth generation (6G) have positioned unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as critical enablers of low-altitude wireless networks (LAWNs). This work investigates the co-design of integrated sensing, communication, and control ($\mathbf{SC^{2}}$) for multi-UAV cooperative systems with finite blocklength (FBL) transmission. In particular, the UAVs continuously monitor the state of the field robots and transmit their observations to the robot controller to ensure stable control while cooperating to localize an unknown sensing target (ST). To this end, a weighted optimization problem is first formulated by jointly considering the control and localization performance in terms of the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) cost and the determinant of the Fisher information matrix (FIM), respectively. The resultant problem, optimizing resource allocations, the UAVs' deployment positions, and multi-user scheduling, is non-convex. To circumvent this challenge, we first derive a closed-form expression of the LQR cost with respect to other variables. Subsequently, the non-convex optimization problem is decomposed into a series of sub-problems by leveraging the alternating optimization (AO) approach, in which the difference of convex functions (DC) programming and projected gradient descent (PGD) method are employed to obtain an efficient near-optimal solution. Furthermore, the convergence and computational complexity of the proposed algorithm are thoroughly analyzed. Extensive simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of our proposed approach compared to the benchmark schemes and reveal the trade-off between control and sensing performance.

Exploiting Both Pilots and Data Payloads for Integrated Sensing and Communications

Integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) is one of the key enabling technologies in future sixth-generation (6G) networks. Current ISAC systems predominantly rely on deterministic pilot signals within the signal frame to accomplish sensing tasks. However, these pilot signals typically occupy only a small portion, e.g., 0.15% to 25%, of the time-frequency resources. To enhance the system utility, a promising solution is to repurpose the extensive random data payload signals for sensing tasks. In this paper, we analyze the ISAC performance of a multi-antenna system where both deterministic pilot and random data symbols are employed for sensing tasks. By capitalizing on random matrix theory (RMT), we first derive a semi-closed-form asymptotic expression of the ergodic linear minimum mean square error (ELMMSE). Then, we formulate an ISAC precoding optimization problem to minimize the ELMMSE, which is solved via a specifically tailored successive convex approximation (SAC) algorithm. To provide system insights, we further derive a closed-form expression for the asymptotic ELMMSE at high signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). Our analysis reveals that, compared with conventional sensing implemented by deterministic signals, the sensing performance degradation induced by random signals is critically determined by the ratio of the transmit antenna size to the data symbol length. Based on this result, the ISAC precoding optimization problem at high SNRs is transformed into a convex optimization problem that can be efficiently solved. Simulation results validate the accuracy of the derived asymptotic expressions of ELMMSE and the performance of the proposed precoding schemes. Particularly, by leveraging data payload signals for sensing tasks, the sensing error is reduced by up to 5.6 dB compared to conventional pilot-based sensing.

Cooperative Integrated Sensing and Communication Networks: Analysis and Distributed Design

This paper proposes a cooperative integrated sensing and communication network (Co-ISACNet) adopting hybrid beamforming (HBF) architecture, which improves both radar sensing and communication performance. The main contributions of this work are four-fold. First, we introduce a novel cooperative sensing method for the considered Co-ISACNet, followed by a comprehensive analysis of this method. This analysis mathematically verifies the benefits of Co-ISACNet and provides insightful design guidelines. Second, to show the benefits of Co-ISACNet, we propose to jointly design the HBF to maximize the network communication capacity while satisfying the constraint of beampattern similarity for radar sensing, which results in a highly dimensional and non-convex problem. Third, to facilitate the joint design, we propose a novel distributed optimization framework based on proximal gradient and alternating direction method of multipliers, namely PANDA. Fourth, we further adopt the proposed PANDA framework to solve the joint HBF design problem for the Co-ISACNet. By using the proposed PANDA framework, all access points (APs) optimize the HBF in parallel, where each AP only requires local channel state information and limited message exchange among the APs. Such framework reduces significantly the computational complexity and thus has pronounced benefits in practical scenarios. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared with the conventional centralized algorithm and show the remarkable performance improvement of radar sensing and communication by deploying Co-ISACNet.

Faster-than-Nyquist Signaling is Good for Single-Carrier ISAC: An Analytical Study

In this paper, we provide an analytical study of single-carrier faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling for integrated sensing and communications (ISAC). Our derivations show that FTN is advantageous for ISAC, and reveal new insights that these advantages come from the fact that FTN signaling can effectively avoid the spectral aliasing due to the mismatch between the symbol rate and the bandwidth of the shaping pulse. Specifically, the communication spectral efficiency advantages of FTN signaling over time-invariant multipath channels are analytically shown, where both upper- and lower-bounds on the spectral efficiency are derived. We show that the gap between these two bounds corresponds to the potential signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) variation due to the presence of multipath delay and spectral aliasing, which diminishes as the symbol rate grows higher. Particularly, in the limiting case, this SNR variation disappears while the degree of freedom (DoF) of the system attain the maximum. Furthermore, the sensing advantages for FTN signals are verified in terms of the expected normalized squared ambiguity function. We show that FTN signals generally enjoy a more robust ranging performance. More importantly, we prove that FTN signaling can effectively avoid the undesired peaks in the considered ambiguity function along the Doppler dimension, thereby reducing the ambiguities in velocity estimation. All these conclusions are explicitly verified by numerical results.

Multipath Component-Enhanced Signal Processing for Integrated Sensing and Communication Systems

Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) has gained traction in academia and industry. Recently, multipath components (MPCs), as a type of spatial resource, have the potential to improve the sensing performance in ISAC systems, especially in richly scattering environments. In this paper, we propose to leverage MPC and Khatri-Rao space-time (KRST) code within a single ISAC system to realize high-accuracy sensing for multiple dynamic targets and multi-user communication. Specifically, we propose a novel MPC-enhanced sensing processing scheme with symbol-level fusion, referred to as the "SL-MPS" scheme, to achieve high-accuracy localization of multiple dynamic targets and empower the single ISAC system with a new capability of absolute velocity estimation for multiple targets with a single sensing attempt. Furthermore, the KRST code is applied to flexibly balance communication and sensing performance in richly scattering environments. To evaluate the contribution of MPCs, the closed-form Cramér-Rao lower bounds (CRLBs) of location and absolute velocity estimation are derived. Simulation results illustrate that the proposed SL-MPS scheme is more robust and accurate in localization and absolute velocity estimation compared with the existing state-of-the-art schemes.

CoRe-MMRAG: Cross-Source Knowledge Reconciliation for Multimodal RAG

Multimodal Retrieval-Augmented Generation (MMRAG) has been introduced to enhance Multimodal Large Language Models by incorporating externally retrieved multimodal knowledge, but it introduces two challenges: Parametric-Retrieved Knowledge Inconsistency (PRKI), where discrepancies between parametric and retrieved knowledge create uncertainty in determining reliability, and Visual-Textual Knowledge Inconsistency (VTKI), where misalignment between visual and textual sources disrupts entity representation. To address these challenges, we propose Cross-source knowledge \textbf{Re}conciliation for Multimodal RAG (CoRe-MMRAG), a novel end-to-end framework that effectively reconciles inconsistencies across knowledge sources. CoRe-MMRAG follows a four-stage pipeline: it first generates an internal response from parametric knowledge, then selects the most relevant multimodal evidence via joint similarity assessment, generates an external response, and finally integrates both to produce a reliable answer. Additionally, a specialized training paradigm enhances knowledge source discrimination, multimodal integration, and unified answer generation. Experiments on KB-VQA benchmarks show that CoRe-MMRAG achieves substantial improvements over baseline methods, achieving 5.6% and 9.3% performance gains on InfoSeek and Encyclopedic-VQA, respectively.
