CA-OPD: Confidence-Aware On-Policy Distillation for Structured Visual Prediction

Autoregressive vision language models unify heterogeneous perception tasks but are highly susceptible to compounding errors. On-policy distillation (OPD) bridges the training-inference mismatch by training students on their own rollouts. However, unreliable student predictions, especially early in training, can derail the trajectory and degrade the quality of teacher supervision. While recent interleaved distillation methods allow the teacher to verify and replace student tokens, they primarily rely on rigid ranking metrics rather than exact teacher confidence, and they overlook how intervention decisions can inform token-level supervision. To address this, we introduce Confidence-Aware On-Policy Distillation (CA-OPD), a framework that couples reliable rollout construction with adaptive supervision. CA-OPD utilizes teacher confidence to selectively correct unreliable student transitions, gradually transferring rollout control to the student via a strict-to-relaxed schedule. Crucially, CA-OPD aligns knowledge transfer with these intervention decisions: corrected positions receive direct cross-entropy supervision from the teacher's prediction, while retained positions benefit from the teacher's full predictive distribution. Evaluated in a multi-teacher setting for GUI grounding and optical character recognition, CA-OPD substantially improves the Qwen3.5-0.8B baseline across all six target benchmarks, including gains of $9.50$ points on ScreenSpot-Pro and $6.72$ points on OCRBench-v2 English. Controlled studies further show that the gains depend on intervention placement, progressive rollout control, and intervention-aligned supervision, rather than intervention frequency alone.

StepX-Edge: An On-Device UI Vision-Language Model via Architecture-Training-Deployment Co-Design

Deploying a vision-language model with full UI understanding on end devices has long been trapped between accuracy and efficiency: on one side is the accuracy bar for OCR, screen understanding, visual question answering, and element grounding; on the other is the strict compute, memory, and power budget of mobile chips. Existing work either trades one for the other, or stops at simulation without real-device validation. We present StepX-Edge, a 0.9B-parameter on-device UI vision-language model that resolves this tension through three-layer co-design of architecture, training, and deployment. Architecturally, UI-aware Layered Visual Encoding (ULVE) and a Progressive Dimensionality Projection (PDP) connector target the extreme aspect ratios and fine-grained perception of screens, while standard full attention throughout ensures native compatibility with mainstream mobile NPU operators. For training, the five-stage StepX-Curriculum framework is designed around our observation of mutual-promotion effects among UI subtasks, so that all four capabilities grow synergistically under a tight parameter budget rather than interfering. For deployment, a module-wise differentiated two-stage PTQ-to-QAT quantization scheme keeps the post-quantization accuracy loss within 1%. StepX-Edge achieves the strongest overall UI understanding among <=1B models, surpassing all 2B-2.3B baselines on ScreenQA (88.76 F1) and Chinese OCRBench v2 (57.25), and matching 1.3B-2.3B general VLMs on RefCOCO (92.0%) and OCRBench v1 (831) with far fewer parameters. After W4A16+KV8 quantization, the model runs stably on Snapdragon 8 Gen5 devices with ~0.84 s TTFT, 98 tok/s decode, and 1.4 GB peak memory. We will open-source the training data, the full training recipe, and the quantization deployment pipeline.

SpecPrefetch: Parameter-Efficient Expert Prefetching for Sparse MoE Foundation Models

Sparse Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) models expand foundation model capacity through conditional expert activation, but their full expert pools remain difficult to deploy under limited accelerator memory. Although expert offloading alleviates memory pressure by moving inactive experts to host memory or storage, it introduces a routing-dependent transfer bottleneck: required experts are known only after native top-\(K\) routing, which serializes routing, expert loading, and expert execution during inference. To address this bottleneck, we propose SpecPrefetch, a parameter-efficient prefetching framework for offloaded MoE inference. SpecPrefetch uses a shared lightweight adapter to predict next-layer expert candidates only for asynchronous transfer, while the frozen native router still determines the final executed experts. By separating transfer prediction from execution routing, SpecPrefetch reduces exposed expert-loading latency without changing pretrained routing semantics, so prediction errors affect transfer efficiency rather than model outputs. In addition, a window-aware scheduler prioritizes feasible transfers under cache and bandwidth constraints. Across Qwen3-VL-30B-A3B and DeepSeek-VL2-Tiny, SpecPrefetch achieves the best average expert recall in 9 out of 10 model-benchmark settings with substantially fewer trainable parameters than learned predictor baselines. On a Snapdragon 8 Elite device, SpecPrefetch further improves decoding throughput by up to \(20\%\) over a compute-optimized offloading runtime, demonstrating practical benefits for storage-constrained MoE deployment. DimMem: Dimensional Structuring for Efficient Long-Term Agent Memory

Large language model (LLM) agents require long-term memory to leverage information from past interactions. However, existing memory systems often face a fidelity--efficiency trade-off: raw dialogue histories are expensive, while flat facts or summaries may discard the structure needed for precise recall. We propose \textbf{DimMem}, a lightweight dimensional memory framework that represents each memory as an atomic, typed, and self-contained unit with explicit fields such as time, location, reason, purpose, and keywords. This representation exposes the structure needed for dimension-aware retrieval, memory update, and selective assistant-context recall without storing full histories in the model context. Across LoCoMo-10 and LongMemEval-S, DimMem achieves \textbf{81.43\%} and \textbf{78.20\%} overall accuracy, respectively, outperforming existing lightweight memory systems while reducing LoCoMo per-query token cost by \textbf{24\%}. We further show that dimensional memory extraction is learnable by compact models: after fine-tuning on the DimMem schema, a Qwen3-4B extractor surpasses LightMem with GPT-4.1-mini on both benchmarks and reaches performance comparable to, or better than, much larger extractors in key settings. These results suggest that explicit dimensional structuring is an effective and efficient foundation for long-term memory in LLM agents. Code is available at https://github.com/ChowRunFa/DimMem.

CLGRPO: Reasoning Ability Enhancement for Small VLMs

Small Vision Language Models (SVLMs) generally refer to models with parameter sizes less than or equal to 2B. Their low cost and power consumption characteristics confer high commercial value. However, their reasoning abilities are limited by the number of parameters. To address this issue, this paper proposes a post-training optimization paradigm called the Incremental Training Strategy to enhance the reasoning ability of SVLMs. Firstly, we constructed a Self-Supervised Chain-of-Thought (COT) Data Construction System, which leverages multiple LVLMs with 7B parameters or more to transform original data into COT data in a self-supervised manner. Our proposed Incremental Training Strategy consists of four stages. Stage 1 injects domain knowledge by performing Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) to the pretrained model on the COT data. Stage 2 aligns the COT data format by conducting a small amount of Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) training constrained only by format rewards on the COT data. Stage 3 enhances reasoning ability by applying GRPO training on the COT data with constraints on both format and accuracy rewards. The resulting model shows significant improvement compared to the baseline. Stage 4 addresses the limited capacity of the SVLMs and the weak ability to capture complex patterns by proposing ClipLow GRPO (CLGRPO) to constrain the capture space of the training process. We conducted extensive comparative and ablation experiments on the abstract semantic recognition dataset EMOSet-118K. Experimental results demonstrate that our method significantly improves the reasoning ability of 1B SVLM. Compared to the baseline model fine-tuned on the original data, accuracy increased by 2.77 and recall by 0.69, achieving performance comparable to that of 8B models.

FastMap: Fast Queries Initialization Based Vectorized HD Map Reconstruction Framework

Reconstruction of high-definition maps is a crucial task in perceiving the autonomous driving environment, as its accuracy directly impacts the reliability of prediction and planning capabilities in downstream modules. Current vectorized map reconstruction methods based on the DETR framework encounter limitations due to the redundancy in the decoder structure, necessitating the stacking of six decoder layers to maintain performance, which significantly hampers computational efficiency. To tackle this issue, we introduce FastMap, an innovative framework designed to reduce decoder redundancy in existing approaches. FastMap optimizes the decoder architecture by employing a single-layer, two-stage transformer that achieves multilevel representation capabilities. Our framework eliminates the conventional practice of randomly initializing queries and instead incorporates a heatmap-guided query generation module during the decoding phase, which effectively maps image features into structured query vectors using learnable positional encoding. Additionally, we propose a geometry-constrained point-to-line loss mechanism for FastMap, which adeptly addresses the challenge of distinguishing highly homogeneous features that often arise in traditional point-to-point loss computations. Extensive experiments demonstrate that FastMap achieves state-of-the-art performance in both nuScenes and Argoverse2 datasets, with its decoder operating 3.2 faster than the baseline. MagicStyle: Portrait Stylization Based on Reference Image

The development of diffusion models has significantly advanced the research on image stylization, particularly in the area of stylizing a content image based on a given style image, which has attracted many scholars. The main challenge in this reference image stylization task lies in how to maintain the details of the content image while incorporating the color and texture features of the style image. This challenge becomes even more pronounced when the content image is a portrait which has complex textural details. To address this challenge, we propose a diffusion model-based reference image stylization method specifically for portraits, called MagicStyle. MagicStyle consists of two phases: Content and Style DDIM Inversion (CSDI) and Feature Fusion Forward (FFF). The CSDI phase involves a reverse denoising process, where DDIM Inversion is performed separately on the content image and the style image, storing the self-attention query, key and value features of both images during the inversion process. The FFF phase executes forward denoising, harmoniously integrating the texture and color information from the pre-stored feature queries, keys and values into the diffusion generation process based on our Well-designed Feature Fusion Attention (FFA). We conducted comprehensive comparative and ablation experiments to validate the effectiveness of our proposed MagicStyle and FFA.

u-LLaVA: Unifying Multi-Modal Tasks via Large Language Model

Recent advancements in multi-modal large language models (MLLMs) have led to substantial improvements in visual understanding, primarily driven by sophisticated modality alignment strategies. However, predominant approaches prioritize global or regional comprehension, with less focus on fine-grained, pixel-level tasks. To address this gap, we introduce u-LLaVA, an innovative unifying multi-task framework that integrates pixel, regional, and global features to refine the perceptual faculties of MLLMs. We commence by leveraging an efficient modality alignment approach, harnessing both image and video datasets to bolster the model's foundational understanding across diverse visual contexts. Subsequently, a joint instruction tuning method with task-specific projectors and decoders for end-to-end downstream training is presented. Furthermore, this work contributes a novel mask-based multi-task dataset comprising 277K samples, crafted to challenge and assess the fine-grained perception capabilities of MLLMs. The overall framework is simple, effective, and achieves state-of-the-art performance across multiple benchmarks. We also make our model, data, and code publicly accessible at https://github.com/OPPOMKLab/u-LLaVA.

RepControlNet: ControlNet Reparameterization

With the wide application of diffusion model, the high cost of inference resources has became an important bottleneck for its universal application. Controllable generation, such as ControlNet, is one of the key research directions of diffusion model, and the research related to inference acceleration and model compression is more important. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a modal reparameterization method, RepControlNet, to realize the controllable generation of diffusion models without increasing computation. In the training process, RepControlNet uses the adapter to modulate the modal information into the feature space, copy the CNN and MLP learnable layers of the original diffusion model as the modal network, and initialize these weights based on the original weights and coefficients. The training process only optimizes the parameters of the modal network. In the inference process, the weights of the neutralization original diffusion model in the modal network are reparameterized, which can be compared with or even surpass the methods such as ControlNet, which use additional parameters and computational quantities, without increasing the number of parameters. We have carried out a large number of experiments on both SD1.5 and SDXL, and the experimental results show the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed RepControlNet.

FPGA: Flexible Portrait Generation Approach

Portrait Fidelity Generation is a prominent research area in generative models.Current methods face challenges in generating full-body images with low-resolution faces, especially in multi-ID photo phenomenon. To tackle these issues, we propose a comprehensive system called FPGA and construct a million-level multi-modal dataset IDZoom for training.FPGA consists of Multi-Mode Fusion training strategy (MMF) and DDIM Inversion based ID Restoration inference framework (DIIR). The MMF aims to activate the specified ID in the specified facial region. The DIIR aims to address the issue of face artifacts while keeping the background.Furthermore, DIIR is plug-and-play and can be applied to any diffusion-based portrait generation method to enhance their performance. DIIR is also capable of performing face-swapping tasks and is applicable to stylized faces as well.To validate the effectiveness of FPGA, we conducted extensive comparative and ablation experiments. The experimental results demonstrate that FPGA has significant advantages in both subjective and objective metrics, and achieves controllable generation in multi-ID scenarios. In addition, we accelerate the inference speed to within 2.5 seconds on a single L20 graphics card mainly based on our well designed reparameterization method, RepControlNet.

Zero-shot High-fidelity and Pose-controllable Character Animation

Image-to-video (I2V) generation aims to create a video sequence from a single image, which requires high temporal coherence and visual fidelity. However, existing approaches suffer from inconsistency of character appearances and poor preservation of fine details. Moreover, they require a large amount of video data for training, which can be computationally demanding. To address these limitations, we propose PoseAnimate, a novel zero-shot I2V framework for character animation. PoseAnimate contains three key components: 1) a Pose-Aware Control Module (PACM) that incorporates diverse pose signals into text embeddings, to preserve character-independent content and maintain precise alignment of actions. 2) a Dual Consistency Attention Module (DCAM) that enhances temporal consistency and retains character identity and intricate background details. 3) a Mask-Guided Decoupling Module (MGDM) that refines distinct feature perception abilities, improving animation fidelity by decoupling the character and background. We also propose a Pose Alignment Transition Algorithm (PATA) to ensure smooth action transition. Extensive experiment results demonstrate that our approach outperforms the state-of-the-art training-based methods in terms of character consistency and detail fidelity. Moreover, it maintains a high level of temporal coherence throughout the generated animations.

LoopAnimate: Loopable Salient Object Animation

Research on diffusion model-based video generation has advanced rapidly. However, limitations in object fidelity and generation length hinder its practical applications. Additionally, specific domains like animated wallpapers require seamless looping, where the first and last frames of the video match seamlessly. To address these challenges, this paper proposes LoopAnimate, a novel method for generating videos with consistent start and end frames. To enhance object fidelity, we introduce a framework that decouples multi-level image appearance and textual semantic information. Building upon an image-to-image diffusion model, our approach incorporates both pixel-level and feature-level information from the input image, injecting image appearance and textual semantic embeddings at different positions of the diffusion model. Existing UNet-based video generation models require to input the entire videos during training to encode temporal and positional information at once. However, due to limitations in GPU memory, the number of frames is typically restricted to 16. To address this, this paper proposes a three-stage training strategy with progressively increasing frame numbers and reducing fine-tuning modules. Additionally, we introduce the Temporal E nhanced Motion Module(TEMM) to extend the capacity for encoding temporal and positional information up to 36 frames. The proposed LoopAnimate, which for the first time extends the single-pass generation length of UNet-based video generation models to 35 frames while maintaining high-quality video generation. Experiments demonstrate that LoopAnimate achieves state-of-the-art performance in both objective metrics, such as fidelity and temporal consistency, and subjective evaluation results.

ADMap: Anti-disturbance framework for reconstructing online vectorized HD map

In the field of autonomous driving, online high-definition (HD) map reconstruction is crucial for planning tasks. Recent research has developed several high-performance HD map reconstruction models to meet this necessity. However, the point sequences within the instance vectors may be jittery or jagged due to prediction bias, which can impact subsequent tasks. Therefore, this paper proposes the Anti-disturbance Map reconstruction framework (ADMap). To mitigate point-order jitter, the framework consists of three modules: Multi-Scale Perception Neck, Instance Interactive Attention (IIA), and Vector Direction Difference Loss (VDDL). By exploring the point-order relationships between and within instances in a cascading manner, the model can monitor the point-order prediction process more effectively. ADMap achieves state-of-the-art performance on the nuScenes and Argoverse2 datasets. Extensive results demonstrate its ability to produce stable and reliable map elements in complex and changing driving scenarios. Code and more demos are available at https://github.com/hht1996ok/ADMap.

Lightweight high-resolution Subject Matting in the Real World

Existing saliency object detection (SOD) methods struggle to satisfy fast inference and accurate results simultaneously in high resolution scenes. They are limited by the quality of public datasets and efficient network modules for high-resolution images. To alleviate these issues, we propose to construct a saliency object matting dataset HRSOM and a lightweight network PSUNet. Considering efficient inference of mobile depolyment framework, we design a symmetric pixel shuffle module and a lightweight module TRSU. Compared to 13 SOD methods, the proposed PSUNet has the best objective performance on the high-resolution benchmark dataset. Evaluation results of objective assessment are superior compared to U$^2$Net that has 10 times of parameter amount of our network. On Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, inference a single 640$\times$640 image only takes 113ms. And on the subjective assessment, evaluation results are better than the industry benchmark IOS16 (Lift subject from background).

BARET : Balanced Attention based Real image Editing driven by Target-text Inversion

Image editing approaches with diffusion models have been rapidly developed, yet their applicability are subject to requirements such as specific editing types (e.g., foreground or background object editing, style transfer), multiple conditions (e.g., mask, sketch, caption), and time consuming fine-tuning of diffusion models. For alleviating these limitations and realizing efficient real image editing, we propose a novel editing technique that only requires an input image and target text for various editing types including non-rigid edits without fine-tuning diffusion model. Our method contains three novelties:(I) Target-text Inversion Schedule (TTIS) is designed to fine-tune the input target text embedding to achieve fast image reconstruction without image caption and acceleration of convergence.(II) Progressive Transition Scheme applies progressive linear interpolation between target text embedding and its fine-tuned version to generate transition embedding for maintaining non-rigid editing capability.(III) Balanced Attention Module (BAM) balances the tradeoff between textual description and image semantics.By the means of combining self-attention map from reconstruction process and cross-attention map from transition process, the guidance of target text embeddings in diffusion process is optimized. In order to demonstrate editing capability, effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed BARET, we have conducted extensive qualitative and quantitative experiments. Moreover, results derived from user study and ablation study further prove the superiority over other methods.

All-pairs Consistency Learning for Weakly Supervised Semantic Segmentation

In this work, we propose a new transformer-based regularization to better localize objects for Weakly supervised semantic segmentation (WSSS). In image-level WSSS, Class Activation Map (CAM) is adopted to generate object localization as pseudo segmentation labels. To address the partial activation issue of the CAMs, consistency regularization is employed to maintain activation intensity invariance across various image augmentations. However, such methods ignore pair-wise relations among regions within each CAM, which capture context and should also be invariant across image views. To this end, we propose a new all-pairs consistency regularization (ACR). Given a pair of augmented views, our approach regularizes the activation intensities between a pair of augmented views, while also ensuring that the affinity across regions within each view remains consistent. We adopt vision transformers as the self-attention mechanism naturally embeds pair-wise affinity. This enables us to simply regularize the distance between the attention matrices of augmented image pairs. Additionally, we introduce a novel class-wise localization method that leverages the gradients of the class token. Our method can be seamlessly integrated into existing WSSS methods using transformers without modifying the architectures. We evaluate our method on PASCAL VOC and MS COCO datasets. Our method produces noticeably better class localization maps (67.3% mIoU on PASCAL VOC train), resulting in superior WSSS performances.

A Machine Vision Method for Correction of Eccentric Error: Based on Adaptive Enhancement Algorithm

In the procedure of surface defects detection for large-aperture aspherical optical elements, it is of vital significance to adjust the optical axis of the element to be coaxial with the mechanical spin axis accurately. Therefore, a machine vision method for eccentric error correction is proposed in this paper. Focusing on the severe defocus blur of reference crosshair image caused by the imaging characteristic of the aspherical optical element, which may lead to the failure of correction, an Adaptive Enhancement Algorithm (AEA) is proposed to strengthen the crosshair image. AEA is consisted of existed Guided Filter Dark Channel Dehazing Algorithm (GFA) and proposed lightweight Multi-scale Densely Connected Network (MDC-Net). The enhancement effect of GFA is excellent but time-consuming, and the enhancement effect of MDC-Net is slightly inferior but strongly real-time. As AEA will be executed dozens of times during each correction procedure, its real-time performance is very important. Therefore, by setting the empirical threshold of definition evaluation function SMD2, GFA and MDC-Net are respectively applied to highly and slightly blurred crosshair images so as to ensure the enhancement effect while saving as much time as possible. AEA has certain robustness in time-consuming performance, which takes an average time of 0.2721s and 0.0963s to execute GFA and MDC-Net separately on ten 200pixels 200pixels Region of Interest (ROI) images with different degrees of blur. And the eccentricity error can be reduced to within 10um by our method.

EA-LSS: Edge-aware Lift-splat-shot Framework for 3D BEV Object Detection

In recent years, great progress has been made in the Lift-Splat-Shot-based (LSS-based) 3D object detection method. However, inaccurate depth estimation remains an important constraint to the accuracy of camera-only and multi-model 3D object detection models, especially in regions where the depth changes significantly (i.e., the "depth jump" problem). In this paper, we proposed a novel Edge-aware Lift-splat-shot (EA-LSS) framework. Specifically, edge-aware depth fusion (EADF) module is proposed to alleviate the "depth jump" problem and fine-grained depth (FGD) module to further enforce refined supervision on depth. Our EA-LSS framework is compatible for any LSS-based 3D object detection models, and effectively boosts their performances with negligible increment of inference time. Experiments on nuScenes benchmarks demonstrate that EA-LSS is effective in either camera-only or multi-model models. It is worth mentioning that EA-LSS achieved the state-of-the-art performance on nuScenes test benchmarks with mAP and NDS of 76.5% and 77.6%, respectively.
