ActiveVital: Geometry-Aware Embodied Vital Signs Monitoring for Home Healthcare Robots

Home robots require reliable vital signs monitoring to support long-term companionship and safety in daily environments, yet obtaining respiration and heart rate without physical contact remains challenging in unconstrained home settings. Millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar offers a promising solution due to its phase sensitivity to sub-millimeter motions. However, mmWave measurements are fundamentally constrained by observation geometry, since only the radial component of motion is observable. Consequently, arbitrary robot-human orientations often introduce angular misalignment that destabilizes vital signs estimation. To address this limitation, we reformulate vital signs monitoring from passive signal recovery to active geometric regulation. We propose ActiveVital, a vision-guided sensing framework that treats sensing geometry as an explicit control variable for robots. It localizes the chest anchor via visual keypoints and converts alignment errors into control commands. This steers the robot-mounted radar toward near-normal incidence to the thoracic surface, maximizing radial observability within a perception-action loop. A differential phase enhancement module further stabilizes signal extraction under motion. Experiments show that ActiveVital reduces respiration interval error from 0.87 s to 0.14 s and heart rate error from 13.59 bpm to 2.22 bpm, achieving accuracy comparable to controlled static sensing while remaining robust under unconstrained robot-human configurations.

Ling and Ring 2.6 Technical Report: Efficient and Instant Agentic Intelligence at Trillion-Parameter Scale

Efficient and scalable agentic intelligence requires models that can deliver both low-latency responses and strong reasoning capabilities while remaining practical to train, serve, and deploy. In this report, we present Ling-2.6 and Ring-2.6, a family of models designed to address this challenge at scale. Ling-2.6 is optimized for instant response generation and high capability per output token, whereas Ring-2.6 is tailored for deeper reasoning and more advanced agentic workflows. Instead of training from scratch, we upgrade the Ling-2.0 base model through architectural migration pre-training and large-scale post-training. This upgrade is guided by a unified co-design of model architecture, optimization objectives, serving systems, and agent training environments, enabling improvements in both model capability and deployment efficiency. At the architectural level, we introduce a hybrid linear attention design that integrates Lightning Attention with MLA, improving the efficiency of long-context training and decoding. To further enhance token efficiency, we optimize capability per output token through Evolutionary Chain-of-Thought, Linguistic Unit Policy Optimization, bidirectional preference alignment, and shortest-correct-response distillation. For agentic capabilities, we propose KPop, a reinforcement learning framework designed to support stable training of Ring-2.6-1T on large-scale environment-grounded data. KPop improves training efficiency through asynchronous scheduling across coding, search, tool use, and workflow execution, enabling scalable learning from complex agent-environment interactions. Together, Ling-2.6 and Ring-2.6 provide a practical pathway toward efficient, scalable, and open agentic systems. We open-source all checkpoints in the 2.6 family to support further research and development in practical agentic intelligence.

Nonparametric Learning and Earning with One-Point Feedback under Nonstationarity

Firms increasingly rely on dynamic pricing to respond to evolving customer demand, yet in many applications they observe only the revenue generated by a single posted price in each period. At the same time, market conditions may shift gradually or abruptly due to changes in customer preferences, competition, or external shocks. These features create two intertwined challenges: learning the revenue--demand relationship from limited feedback and adapting pricing decisions to a changing environment. We study how a seller can learn and earn effectively under these constraints, without assuming a specific parametric form for demand. We develop a learning framework that updates prices using revenue-based gradient approximations constructed from one observation per period. To address environmental changes, we incorporate a restarting mechanism that periodically refreshes the learning process so that outdated information is discounted. When the degree of nonstationarity is unknown, we further introduce a meta-learning layer to adaptively hedge across multiple restarting schedules. We provide performance guarantees for our approach, showing how cumulative revenue loss relative to a fully informed benchmark depends on both the time horizon and the magnitude of market variation. Simulation experiments using synthetic and real-world data illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed procedures.

Fair Conformal Classification via Learning Representation-Based Groups

Conformal prediction methods provide statistically rigorous marginal coverage guarantees for machine learning models, but such guarantees fail to account for algorithmic biases, thereby undermining fairness and trust. This paper introduces a fair conformal inference framework for classification tasks. The proposed method constructs prediction sets that guarantee conditional coverage on adaptively identified subgroups, which can be implicitly defined through nonlinear feature combinations. By balancing effectiveness and efficiency in producing compact, informative prediction sets and ensuring adaptive equalized coverage across unfairly treated subgroups, our approach paves a practical pathway toward trustworthy machine learning. Extensive experiments on both synthetic and real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the framework.

Uncertainty Quantification for LLM-based Code Generation

Prediction sets provide a theoretically grounded framework for quantifying uncertainty in machine learning models. Adapting them to structured generation tasks, in particular, large language model (LLM) based code generation, remains a challenging problem. An existing attempt proposes PAC prediction sets but is limited by its strong monotonicity assumption on risk and single-label classification framework, which severely limits the space of candidate programs and cannot accommodate the multiple valid outputs inherent to code generation. To address these limitations, we propose an approach RisCoSet that leverages multiple hypothesis testing to construct risk-controlling predictions for LLM-based code generation. Given a trained code generation model, we produce a prediction set represented by a partial program, which is guaranteed to contain a correct solution with high confidence. Extensive experiments on three LLMs demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. For instance, compared with the state-of-the-art, our method can significantly reduce the code removal by up to 24.5%, at the same level of risk.

Learning a Delighting Prior for Facial Appearance Capture in the Wild

High-quality facial appearance capture has traditionally required costly studio recording. Recent works consider an in-the-wild smartphone-based setup; however, their model-based inverse rendering paradigm struggles with the complex disentanglement of reflectance from unknown illumination. To bridge this gap, we propose to shift the paradigm into training a powerful delighting network as a prior to constrain the optimization. We leverage the OLAT dataset and the rendered Light Stage scans for training, and propose Dataset Latent Modulation (DLM) to seamlessly integrate these heterogeneous data sources. Specifically, by conditioning the core network on learnable source-aware tokens, we decouple dataset-specific styles from physical delighting principles, enabling the emergence of a delighting prior that outperforms existing proprietary models. This powerful delighting prior enables a simple and automatic appearance capture pipeline that achieves high-quality reflectance estimation from casual video inputs, outperforming prior arts by a large margin. Furthermore, we leverage our appearance capture method to transform the multi-view NeRSemble dataset into NeRSemble-Scan, a large-scale collection of 4K-resolution relightable scans. By open-sourcing our model and the NeRSemble-Scan dataset, we democratize high-end facial capture and provide a new foundation for the research community to build photorealistic digital humans.

Robust Deepfake Detection, NTIRE 2026 Challenge: Report

Robustness is a long-overlooked problem in deepfake detection. However, detection performance is nearly worthless in the real world if it suffers under exposure to even slight image degradation. In addition to weaker degradations that can accidentally occur in the image processing pipeline, there is another risk of malicious deepfakes that specifically introduce degradations, purposefully exploiting the detector's weaknesses in that regard. Here, we present an overview of the NTIRE 2026 Robust Deepfake Detection Challenge, which specifically addresses that problem. Participants were tasked with building a detector that would later be tested on an unknown test-set, which included both common and uncommon degradations of various strengths. With a total number of 337 participants and 57 submissions to the final leaderboard, the first edition of the challenge was well received. To ensure the reliability of the results, participants were given only 24h to complete the test run with no labels provided, limiting the possibility of training on the test data. Furthermore, the top solutions were scored on a private test-set to detect any such overfitting. This report presents the competition setting, dataset preparation, as well as details and performance of methods. Top methods rely on large foundation models, ensembles, and degradation training to combine generality and robustness.

MLG-Stereo: ViT Based Stereo Matching with Multi-Stage Local-Global Enhancement

With the development of deep learning, ViT-based stereo matching methods have made significant progress due to their remarkable robustness and zero-shot ability. However, due to the limitations of ViTs in handling resolution sensitivity and their relative neglect of local information, the ability of ViT-based methods to predict details and handle arbitrary-resolution images is still weaker than that of CNN-based methods. To address these shortcomings, we propose MLG-Stereo, a systematic pipeline-level design that extends global modeling beyond the encoder stage. First, we propose a Multi-Granularity Feature Network to effectively balance global context and local geometric information, enabling comprehensive feature extraction from images of arbitrary resolution and bridging the gap between training and inference scales. Then, a Local-Global Cost Volume is constructed to capture both locally-correlated and global-aware matching information. Finally, a Local-Global Guided Recurrent Unit is introduced to iteratively optimize the disparity locally under the guidance of global information. Extensive experiments are conducted on multiple benchmark datasets, demonstrating that our MLG-Stereo exhibits highly competitive performance on the Middlebury and KITTI-2015 benchmarks compared to contemporaneous leading methods, and achieves outstanding results in the KITTI-2012 dataset.

Aerial Vision-Language Navigation with a Unified Framework for Spatial, Temporal and Embodied Reasoning

Aerial Vision-and-Language Navigation (VLN) aims to enable unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to interpret natural language instructions and navigate complex urban environments using onboard visual observation. This task holds promise for real-world applications such as low-altitude inspection, search-and-rescue, and autonomous aerial delivery. Existing methods often rely on panoramic images, depth inputs, or odometry to support spatial reasoning and action planning. These requirements increase system cost and integration complexity, thus hindering practical deployment for lightweight UAVs. We present a unified aerial VLN framework that operates solely on egocentric monocular RGB observations and natural language instructions. The model formulates navigation as a next-token prediction problem, jointly optimizing spatial perception, trajectory reasoning, and action prediction through prompt-guided multi-task learning. Moreover, we propose a keyframe selection strategy to reduce visual redundancy by retaining semantically informative frames, along with an action merging and label reweighting mechanism that mitigates long-tailed supervision imbalance and facilitates stable multi-task co-training. Extensive experiments on the AerialVLN and OpenFly benchmark validate the effectiveness of our method. Under the challenging monocular RGB-only setting, our model achieves strong results across both seen and unseen environments. It significantly outperforms existing RGB-only baselines and narrows the performance gap with state-of-the-art panoramic RGB-D counterparts. Comprehensive ablation studies further demonstrate the contribution of our task design and architectural choices. Our code is publicly available at https://github.com/return-sleep/AeroAct.

ZoomSpec: A Physics-Guided Coarse-to-Fine Framework for Wideband Spectrum Sensing

Wideband spectrum sensing for low-altitude monitoring is critical yet challenging due to heterogeneous protocols, large bandwidths, and non-stationary SNR. Existing data-driven approaches treat spectrograms as natural images, suffering from domain mismatch: they neglect time-frequency resolution constraints and spectral leakage, leading topoor narrowband visibility. This paper proposes ZoomSpec, a physics-guided coarse-to-fine framework integrating signal processing priors with deep learning. We introduce a Log-Space STFT (LS-STFT) to overcome the geometric bottleneck of linear spectrograms, sharpening narrowband structures while maintaining constant relative resolution. A lightweight Coarse Proposal Net (CPN) rapidly screens the full band. To bridge coarse detection and fine recognition, we design an Adaptive Heterodyne Low-Pass (AHLP) module that executes center-frequency aligning, bandwidth-matched filtering, and safe decimation, purifying signals of out-of-band interference. A Fine Recognition Net (FRN) fuses purified time-domain I/Q with spectral magnitude via dual-domain attention to jointly refine temporal boundaries and modulation classification. Evaluations on the SpaceNet real-world dataset demonstrate state-of-the-art 78.1 mAP@0.5:0.95, surpassing existing leaderboard systems with superior stability across diverse modulation bandwidths.

NTIRE 2026 Challenge on Robust AI-Generated Image Detection in the Wild

This paper presents an overview of the NTIRE 2026 Challenge on Robust AI-Generated Image Detection in the Wild, held in conjunction with the NTIRE workshop at CVPR 2026. The goal of this challenge was to develop detection models capable of distinguishing real images from generated ones in realistic scenarios: the images are often transformed (cropped, resized, compressed, blurred) for practical usage, and therefore, the detection models should be robust to such transformations. The challenge is based on a novel dataset consisting of 108,750 real and 185,750 AI-generated images from 42 generators comprising a large variety of open-source and closed-source models of various architectures, augmented with 36 image transformations. Methods were evaluated using ROC AUC on the full test set, including both transformed and untransformed images. A total of 511 participants registered, with 20 teams submitting valid final solutions. This report provides a comprehensive overview of the challenge, describes the proposed solutions, and can be used as a valuable reference for researchers and practitioners in increasing the robustness of the detection models to real-world transformations.

Knowledge Priors for Identity-Disentangled Open-Set Privacy-Preserving Video FER

Facial expression recognition relies on facial data that inherently expose identity and thus raise significant privacy concerns. Current privacy-preserving methods typically fail in realistic open-set video settings where identities are unknown, and identity labels are unavailable. We propose a two-stage framework for video-based privacy-preserving FER in challenging open-set settings that requires no identity labels at any stage. To decouple privacy and utility, we first train an identity-suppression network using intra- and inter-video knowledge priors derived from real-world videos without identity labels. This network anonymizes identity while preserving expressive cues. A subsequent denoising module restores expression-related information and helps recover FER performance. Furthermore, we introduce a falsification-based validation method that uses recognition priors to rigorously evaluate privacy robustness without requiring annotated identity labels. Experiments on three video datasets demonstrate that our method effectively protects privacy while maintaining FER accuracy comparable to identity-supervised baselines.

High-Quality Facial Geometry and Appearance Capture at Home

Facial geometry and appearance capture have demonstrated tremendous success in 3D scanning real humans in studios. Recent works propose to democratize this technique while keeping the results high quality. However, they are still inconvenient for daily usage. In addition, they focus on an easier problem of only capturing facial skin. This paper proposes a novel method for high-quality face capture, featuring an easy-to-use system and the capability to model the complete face with skin, mouth interior, hair, and eyes. We reconstruct facial geometry and appearance from a single co-located smartphone flashlight sequence captured in a dim room where the flashlight is the dominant light source (e.g. rooms with curtains or at night). To model the complete face, we propose a novel hybrid representation to effectively model both eyes and other facial regions, along with novel techniques to learn it from images. We apply a combined lighting model to compactly represent real illuminations and exploit a morphable face albedo model as a reflectance prior to disentangle diffuse and specular. Experiments show that our method can capture high-quality 3D relightable scans.

WildCap: Facial Albedo Capture in the Wild via Hybrid Inverse Rendering

Existing methods achieve high-quality facial albedo capture under controllable lighting, which increases capture cost and limits usability. We propose WildCap, a novel method for high-quality facial albedo capture from a smartphone video recorded in the wild. To disentangle high-quality albedo from complex lighting effects in in-the-wild captures, we propose a novel hybrid inverse rendering framework. We first apply a data-driven method, i.e., SwitchLight, to convert the captured images into more constrained conditions and then adopt model-based inverse rendering. However, unavoidable local artifacts in network predictions, such as shadow-baking, are non-physical and thus hinder accurate inverse rendering of lighting and material. To address this, we propose a novel texel grid lighting model to explain non-physical effects as clean albedo illuminated by local physical lighting. During optimization, we jointly sample a diffusion prior for the albedo map and optimize the lighting, effectively resolving scale ambiguity between local lights and albedo. Other reflectance maps are then predicted from the albedo. Our method achieves significantly better results than prior arts in the same capture setup, closing the quality gap between in-the-wild and controllable recordings by a large margin.

Holographic Intelligence Surface Assisted Integrated Sensing and Communication

Traditional discrete-array-based systems fail to exploit interactions between closely spaced antennas, resulting in inadequate utilization of the aperture resource. In this paper, we propose a holographic intelligence surface (HIS) assisted integrated sensing and communication (HISAC) system, wherein both the transmitter and receiver are fabricated using a continuous-aperture array. A continuous-discrete transformation of the HIS pattern based on the Fourier transform is proposed, converting the continuous pattern design into a discrete beamforming design. We formulate a joint transmit-receive beamforming optimization problem for the HISAC system, aiming to balance the performance of multi-target sensing while fulfilling the performance requirement of multi-user communication. To solve the non-convex problem with coupled variables, an alternating optimization-based algorithm is proposed to optimize the HISAC transmit-receive beamforming in an alternate manner. Specifically, the transmit beamforming design is solved by decoupling into a series of feasibility-checking sub-problems while the receive beamforming is determined by the Rayleigh quotient-based method. Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed HISAC system over traditional discrete-array-based ISAC systems, achieving significantly higher sensing performance while guaranteeing predetermined communication performance.

Learnable Template Matching Approach for Micro-Deformation Monitoring based on Integrated Sensing and Communication Platform

Existing integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) platforms fail to fully utilize the shared spectrum and aperture resources for sensing, resulting in poor sensing performance. Specifically, weak target sensing on the ISAC platform, such as micro-deformation monitoring (mDM), suffers from inaccurate measurements due to poor sensing quality. In this paper, we propose an AI-assisted approach to alleviate the effect of poor sensing quality in the ISAC system by effectively removing the clutter. We begin by modeling the environment clutter model as a combination of the deterministic and stochastic signals to represent urban coverage scenarios around the base station (BS). A clutter suppression optimization problem is formulated to extract the micro-deformation displacement (mDD) from the original ISAC signals. We then propose a learnable template-matching (LTM) approach to mitigate the influences of clutters, thereby enhancing sensing quality. In particular, the electromagnetic (EM) signal feature of the mDD is embedded into the network to strengthen the mDM signal, and clutter filters are incorporated to suppress environmental clutter. Numerical results illustrate the superiority of our proposed approach concerning convergence speed and accuracy in mDD prediction. By deploying our approach to the BS measurement, the simulation-only trained LTM exhibits impressive performance in environment clutter separation and mDD estimation.

Hybrid RIS-Assisted MIMO Dual-Function Radar-Communication System

Dual-function radar-communication (DFRC) technology is emerging in next-generation wireless systems. Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) arrays have been suggested as a crucial sensor component of the DFRC. In this paper, we propose a hybrid RIS (HRIS)-assisted multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) DFRC system, where the HRIS is capable of reflecting communication signals to mobile users and receiving the scattering signal reflected from the radar target simultaneously. Under such a scenario, we are interested in characterizing the fundamental trade-off between radar sensing and communication. Specifically, we study the joint design of the beamforming vectors at the base station (BS) and the parameter configuration of the HRIS so as to maximize the signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) of the radar while guaranteeing a communication SINR requirement. To solve the formulated non-convex beamforming design problem, we propose an efficient alternating optimization approach. In particular, for fixed beams at the BS, we use a fast grid search-assisted auto gradient descent (FGS-AGD) algorithm to seek the best HRIS configuration; Then, a closed-form BS beamforming solution is obtained using semidefinite relaxation. Numerical results indicate that compared with benchmark schemes, the proposed approach is capable of improving the radar performance and communication quality significantly and simultaneously.

EvolveReason: Self-Evolving Reasoning Paradigm for Explainable Deepfake Facial Image Identification

With the rapid advancement of AIGC technology, developing identification methods to address the security challenges posed by deepfakes has become urgent. Face forgery identification techniques can be categorized into two types: traditional classification methods and explainable VLM approaches. The former provides classification results but lacks explanatory ability, while the latter, although capable of providing coarse-grained explanations, often suffers from hallucinations and insufficient detail. To overcome these limitations, we propose EvolveReason, which mimics the reasoning and observational processes of human auditors when identifying face forgeries. By constructing a chain-of-thought dataset, CoT-Face, tailored for advanced VLMs, our approach guides the model to think in a human-like way, prompting it to output reasoning processes and judgment results. This provides practitioners with reliable analysis and helps alleviate hallucination. Additionally, our framework incorporates a forgery latent-space distribution capture module, enabling EvolveReason to identify high-frequency forgery cues difficult to extract from the original images. To further enhance the reliability of textual explanations, we introduce a self-evolution exploration strategy, leveraging reinforcement learning to allow the model to iteratively explore and optimize its textual descriptions in a two-stage process. Experimental results show that EvolveReason not only outperforms the current state-of-the-art methods in identification performance but also accurately identifies forgery details and demonstrates generalization capabilities.
