Spin-Induced Non-Markovian Time-Crystal-Like Dynamics and Fractal Scaling in the Bateman Dual Oscillator

Can a closed quantum system generate persistent time-crystal-like dynamics without external driving? Within the Bateman dual oscillator framework, we show that the answer is affirmative. We consider a nonrelativistic (2+1)-dimensional system in which spin-induced spatial deformation generates an effective Bateman oscillator structure. After quantization, the system is governed by a time-independent Hermitian Hamiltonian describing coherent coupling between damped and amplified oscillator sectors while preserving the total energy of the global doubled system. Tracing over the amplified sector, we derive an effective non-Markovian reduced dynamics for the observable subsystem. The resulting memory effects sustain persistent oscillations of subsystem observables and generate emergent time-crystal-like temporal ordering without external periodic driving or equilibrium spontaneous symmetry breaking. Since the oscillatory behavior originates from nonequilibrium reduced subsystem dynamics rather than equilibrium expectation values of the full Hamiltonian, the mechanism lies outside the assumptions of conventional no-go theorems for equilibrium time crystals. The same dynamics further exhibits logarithmic-spiral trajectories and self-similar fractal scaling, revealing a direct connection between coherent dissipative dynamics, non-Markovian memory effects, and emergent temporal ordering in a globally unitary quantum system. In this specific sense, "watching the growth" of these self-similar structures corresponds to observing the gradual formation of time-crystal-like ordering.

Spin-Induced Fractal Time-Crystal-Like Dynamics and Non-Markovian Memory in the Bateman Dual Oscillator

Can a closed quantum system generate time-crystal-like nonequilibrium behavior, self-similar scaling structures, and non-Markovian memory without external driving or coupling to a macroscopic environment? We address this question within the quantum Bateman oscillator formulated in a nonrelativistic (2 + 1)-dimensional phase-space noncommutative framework generated by spin-induced spatial deformation. The resulting doubled quantum dynamics is governed by a time-independent Hermitian Hamiltonian and exhibits an underlying SU(1, 1) structure with amplified and damped collective modes. We show that these modes satisfy an exact discrete scaling covariance, leading to self-similar temporal evolution without external driving. Upon tracing over one oscillator sector, the reduced dynamics becomes intrinsically non-Markovian and is governed by a history-dependent memory kernel. The same scaling structure admits a geometric representation in terms of logarithmic-spiral trajectories associated with the amplified and damped branches of the Bateman system. Because the mechanism relies on nonequilibrium reduced dynamics rather than equilibrium expectation values of local observables, it lies outside the assumptions underlying conventional no-go theorems for equilibrium time crystals. Our results identify spin as the common physical origin of the amplified and damped Bateman dynamics, self-similar scaling periodicity, logarithmic-spiral structures, and non-Markovian memory, also suggesting a natural extension of the mechanism to relativistic anyonic systems.

Neutrino mixing and oscillations in quantum field theory: a comprehensive introduction

We review some of the main results of the quantum field theoretical approach to neutrino mixing and oscillations. We show that the quantum field theoretical framework, where flavor vacuum is defined, permits to give a precise definition of flavor states as eigenstates of (non-conserved) lepton charges. We obtain the exact oscillation formula which in the relativistic limit reproduces the Pontecorvo oscillation formula and illustrate some of the contradictions arising in the quantum mechanics approximation. We show that the gauge theory structure underlies the neutrino mixing phenomenon and that there exist entanglement between mixed neutrinos. The flavor vacuum is found to be an entangled generalized coherent state of SU(2). We also discuss flavor energy uncertainty relations, which imposes a lower bound on the precision of neutrino energy measurements and we show that the flavor vacuum inescapably emerges in certain classes of models with dynamical symmetry breaking.

Flavor neutrino states for pedestrians

In this paper we discuss the ontology of flavor states of oscillating neutrinos. While an heuristic approach to this subject, experimentally successful in the high energy regime, is generally adopted, a logically consistent definition of flavor states describing neutrinos produced and detected in weak processes is still desirable and essential from a theoretical perspective. Here we briefly review basic facts and present some arguments which suggest that the definition of flavor states as eigenstates of flavor charges is the most reasonable one.

Water Bridging Dynamics of Polymerase Chain Reaction in the Gauge Theory Paradigm of Quantum Fields

We discuss the role of water bridging the DNA-enzyme interaction by resorting to recent results showing that London dispersion forces between delocalized electrons of base pairs of DNA are responsible for the formation of dipole modes that can be recognized by \textit{Taq} polymerase. We describe the dynamic origin of the high efficiency and precise targeting of \textit{Taq} activity in PCR. The spatiotemporal distribution of interaction couplings, frequencies, amplitudes, and phase modulations comprise a pattern of fields which constitutes the electromagnetic image of DNA in the surrounding water, which is what the polymerase enzyme actually recognizes in the DNA water environment. The experimental realization of PCR amplification, achieved through replacement of the DNA template by the treatment of pure water with electromagnetic signals recorded from viral and bacterial DNA solutions, is found consistent with the gauge theory paradigm of quantum fields.

On the molecular dynamics in the hurricane interactions with its environment

By resorting to the Burgers model for hurricanes, we study the molecular motion involved in the hurricane dynamics. We show that the Lagrangian canonical formalism requires the inclusion of the environment degrees of freedom. This also allows the description of the motion of charged particles. In view of the role played by moist convection, cumulus and cloud water droplets in the hurricane dynamics, we discuss on the basis of symmetry considerations the role played by the molecular electrical dipoles and the formation of topologically non-trivial structures. The mechanism of energy storage and dissipation, the non-stationary time dependent Ginzburg-Landau equation and the vortex equation are studied. Finally, we discuss the fractal self-similarity properties of hurricanes.

Quantum Field Theory and Coalgebraic Logic in Theoretical Computer Science

In this paper we suggest that in the framework of the Category Theory it is possible to demonstrate the mathematical and logical \textit{dual equivalence} between the category of the $q$-deformed Hopf Coalgebras and the category of the $q$-deformed Hopf Algebras in QFT, interpreted as a thermal field theory. Each pair algebra-coalgebra characterizes, indeed, a QFT system and its mirroring thermal bath, respectively, so to model dissipative quantum systems persistently in far-from-equilibrium conditions, with an evident significance also for biological sciences. The $q$-deformed Hopf Coalgebras and the $q$-deformed Hopf Algebras constitute two dual categories because characterized by the same functor $T$, related with the Bogoliubov transform, and by its contravariant application $T^{op}$, respectively. The \textit{q}-deformation parameter, indeed, is related to the Bogoliubov angle, and it is effectively a thermal parameter. Therefore, the different values of $q$ identify univocally, and then label, the vacua appearing in the foliation process of the quantum vacuum. This means that, in the framework of Universal Coalgebra, as general theory of dynamic and computing systems ("labelled state-transition systems"), the so labelled infinitely many quantum vacua can be interpreted as the Final Coalgebra of an "Infinite State Black-Box Machine". All this opens the way to the possibility of designing a new class of universal quantum computing architectures based on this coalgebraic formulation of QFT, as its ability of naturally generating a Fibonacci progression demonstrates.

On the role of the rotations and Bogoliubov transformations in neutrino mixing

We show that mixing transformations for Dirac fields arise as a consequence of the non-trivial interplay between rotations and Bogoliubov transformations at level of ladder operators. Indeed the non-commutativity between the algebraic generators of such transformations turns out to be responsible of the unitary inequivalence of the flavor and mass representations and of the associated vacuum structure. A possible thermodynamic interpretation is also investigated.

Thermal condensate structure and cosmological energy density of the Universe

The aim of this paper is the study of thermal vacuum condensate for scalar and fermion fields. We analyze the thermal states at the temperature of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) and we show that the vacuum expectation value of the energy momentum tensor density of photon fields reproduces the energy density and pressure of the CMB. We perform the computations in the formal framework of the thermo field dynamics. We also consider the case of neutrinos and thermal states at the temperature of the neutrino cosmic background. Consistency with the estimated lower bound of the sum of the active neutrino masses is verified. In the boson sector, non trivial contribution to the energy of the universe is given by particles of masses of the order of $10^{-4}eV$ compatible with the ones of the axion-like particles. The fractal self-similar structure of the thermal radiation is also discussed and related to the coherent structure of the thermal vacuum.

Linguistics and some aspects of its underlying dynamics

In recent years, central components of a new approach to linguistics, the Minimalist Program (MP) have come closer to physics. Features of the Minimalist Program, such as the unconstrained nature of recursive Merge, the operation of the Labeling Algorithm that only operates at the interface of Narrow Syntax with the Conceptual-Intentional and the Sensory-Motor interfaces, the difference between pronounced and un-pronounced copies of elements in a sentence and the build-up of the Fibonacci sequence in the syntactic derivation of sentence structures, are directly accessible to representation in terms of algebraic formalism. Although in our scheme linguistic structures are classical ones, we find that an interesting and productive isomorphism can be established between the MP structure, algebraic structures and many-body field theory opening new avenues of inquiry on the dynamics underlying some central aspects of linguistics.

Bessel Functions in Mass Action. Modeling of Memories and Remembrances

Data from experimental observations of a class of neurological processes (Freeman K-sets) present functional distribution reproducing Bessel function behavior. We model such processes with couples of damped/amplified oscillators which provide time dependent representation of Bessel equation. The root loci of poles and zeros conform to solutions of K-sets. Some light is shed on the problem of filling the gap between the cellular level dynamics and the brain functional activity. Breakdown of time-reversal symmetry is related with the cortex thermodynamic features. This provides a possible mechanism to deduce lifetime of recorded memory.

Noncommutative spectral geometry, Bogoliubov transformations and neutrino oscillations

In this report we show that neutrino mixing is intrinsically contained in Connes' noncommutative spectral geometry construction, thanks to the introduction of the doubling of algebra, which is connected to the Bogoliubov transformation. It is known indeed that these transformations are responsible for the mixing, turning the mass vacuum state into the flavor vacuum state, in such a way that mass and flavor vacuum states are not unitary equivalent. There is thus a red thread that binds the doubling of algebra of Connes' model to the neutrino mixing.

Transduction of DNA information through water and electromagnetic waves

The experimental conditions by which electromagnetic signals (EMS) of low frequency can be emitted by diluted aqueous solutions of some bacterial and viral DNAs are described. That the recorded EMS and nanostructures induced in water carry the DNA information (sequence) is shown by retrieval of that same DNA by classical PCR amplification using the TAQ polymerase, including both primers and nucleotides. Moreover, such a transduction process has also been observed in living human cells exposed to EMS irradiation. These experiments suggest that coherent long range molecular interaction must be at work in water so to allow the observed features. The quantum field theory analysis of the phenomenon is presented.

On the coherent behavior of pancreatic beta cell clusters

Beta cells in pancreas represent an example of coupled biological oscillators which via communication pathways, are able to synchronize their electrical activity, giving rise to pulsatile insulin release. In this work we numerically analyze scale free self-similarity features of membrane voltage signal power density spectrum, through a stochastic dynamical model for beta cells in the islets of Langerhans fine tuned on mouse experimental data. Adopting the algebraic approach of coherent state formalism, we show how coherent molecular domains can arise from proper functional conditions leading to a parallelism with "phase transition" phenomena of field theory.

Doubling of the Algebra and Neutrino Mixing within Noncommutative Spectral Geometry

We study physical implications of the doubling of the algebra, an essential element in the construction of the noncommutative spectral geometry model, proposed by Connes and his collaborators as offering a geometric explanation for the standard model of strong and electroweak interactions. Linking the algebra doubling to the deformed Hopf algebra, we build Bogogliubov transformations and show the emergence of neutrino mixing.

Geometric invariants as detector of Hawking and Unruh effects and quantum field theory in curved space

We report on the recent results revealing the presence of geometric invariants in all the phenomena in which vacuum condensates appear and we show that Aharonov--Anandan phase can be used to provide the evidence of phenomena like Hawking and Unruh effects and to test some behavior of quantum field theory in curved space. A very precise quantum thermometer can be also built by using geometric invariants.

Spontaneous supersymmetry breaking probed by geometric invariants

The presence of the Aharonov-Anandan invariant in phenomena in which vacuum condensates are physically relevant can help to reveal the spontaneous supersymmetry breaking induced by condensates. The analysis is presented in the case of the Wess--Zumino model. The manifestation of the Aharonov-Anandan invariant of atoms and their superpartners, generated at non-zero temperature, could reveal the signature of SUSY violation in a recently proposed experimental setup based on an optical lattice in which SUSY is broken at non-zero temperature.

Probing Hawking and Unruh effects and quantum field theory in curved space by geometric invariants

The presence of noncyclic geometric invariant is revealed in all the phenomena where particle generation from vacuum or vacuum condensates appear. Aharonov--Anandan invariants then can help to study such systems and can represent a new tool to be used in order to provide laboratory evidence of phenomena particulary hard to be detected, such as Hawking and Unruh effects and some features of quantum field theory in curved space simulated by some graphene morphologies. It is finally suggested that a very precise quantum thermometer can be built by exploiting geometric invariants properties.
