From the Komar Mass and Entropic Force Scenarios to the Einstein Field Equations on the Ads Brane

By bearing the Komar's definition for the mass, together with the entropic origin of gravity in mind, we find the Einstein field equations in $(n+1$)-dimensional spacetime. Then, by reflecting the ($4+1$)-dimensional Einstein equations on the ($3+1$)-hypersurface, we get the Einstein equations onto the $3$-brane. The corresponding energy conditions are also addressed. Since the higher dimensional considerations modify the Einstein field equations in the ($3+1$)-dimensions and thus the energy-momentum tensor, we get a relation for the Komar mass on the brane. In addition, the strongness of this relation compared with existing definition for the Komar mass on the brane is addressed.

Implications, consequences and interpretations of generalized entropy in the cosmological setups

Recently, it was argued (Eur. Phys. J. C {\bf73}, 2487 (2013)) that the total entropy of a gravitational system should be related to the volume of system instead of the system surface. Here, we show that this new proposal cannot satisfy the unified first law of thermodynamics and the Friedmans equation simultaneously, unless the effects of dark energy candidate on the horizon entropy are considered. In fact, our study shows that some types of dark energy candidate may admit this proposal. Some general properties of required dark energy are also addressed. Moreover, our investigation shows that this new proposal for entropy, while combined with the second law of thermodynamics (as the backbone of Verlinde's proposal), helps us in providing a thermodynamic interpretation for the difference between the surface and bulk degrees of freedom which, according to Padmanabhan's proposal, leads to the emergence of spacetime and thus the universe expansion. In fact, our investigation shows that the entropy changes of system may be equal to the difference between the surface and bulk degrees of freedom falling from surface into the system volume. Briefly, our results signal us that this new proposal for entropy may be in agreement with the thermodynamics laws, the Friedmann equation, Padmanabhan's holographic proposal for the emergence of spacetime and therefore the universe expansion. In fact, this new definition of entropy may be used to make a bridge between Verlinde's and Padmanabhan's proposals.

One and two spin$-1/2$ particles systems under Lorentz transformations

Lorentz transformation (LT) is used to connect two inertia frames, including the lab and moving frames, and the effect of LT on the states of one spin-1/2 particle system is studied. Moreover, we address the predictions made by Czachor's and the Pauli spin operators about the spin behavior and compare our results with the behavior of system's state under Lorentz transformation. This investigation shows that the predictions made by considering the Pauli spin operator about the spin of system are in better agreement with the system's state in comparison with that of made by considering Czachor's spin operator. In continue, we focus on two-particle pure entangled systems including two spin$-1/2$ particles which moves away from each other. Once again, the behavior of this system's states under Lorentz transformation are investigated. We also point to the behavior of Bell's inequality, as a witness for non-locality, under Lorentz transformation. Our study shows that the Bell operator made by the Pauli operator has better consistency with the behavior of spin state of system under Lorentz transformation compared with the Bell operator made by Czachor's operator. Our approach can be used to study the relation between the various spin operators and the effect of LT on system, which provides the basement to predict the outcome of a Stern-Gerlach type experiment in the relativistic situations.

Thermodynamic motivations of spherically symmetric static metrics

Bearing the thermodynamic arguments together with the two definitions of mass in mind, we try to find metrics with spherical symmetry. We consider the adiabatic condition along with the Gong-Wang mass, and evaluate the $g_{rr}$ element which points to a null hypersurface. In addition, we generalize the thermodynamics laws to this hypersurface to find its temperature and thus the corresponding surface gravity which enables us to get a relation for the $g_{tt}$ element. Moreover, we investigate the mathematical and physical properties of the discovered metric in the Einstein relativity framework which shows that the primary mentioned null hypersurface is an event horizon. The obtained energy-momentum tensor equals the energy-momentum tensor of a polytropic black hole embedded into an anti-de Sitter background. We also show that if one considers the Misner-Sharp mass in the calculations, the Schwarzschild metric will be got. The relationship between the two mass definitions in each metric is studied. The results of considering the geometrical surface gravity are also addressed. Our investigation shows that the geometrical surface gravity's definition is not always compatible with the validity of the first law of thermodynamics on the horizons of spherically symmetric static metrics.

Relativistic three-partite non-locality

Bell-like inequalities have been used in order to distinguish non-local quantum pure states by various authors. The behavior of such inequalities under Lorentz transformation has been a source of debate and controversies in the past. In this paper, we consider the two most commonly studied three-particle pure states, that of W and GHZ states which exhibit distinctly different type of entanglement. We discuss the various types of three-particle inequalities used in previous studies and point to their corresponding shortcomings and strengths. Our main result is that if one uses Czachor's relativistic spin operator and Svetlichny's inequality as the main measure of non-locality and uses the same angles in the rest frame ($S$) as well as the moving frame ($S^{\prime}$), then maximally violated inequality in $S$ will decrease in the moving frame, and will eventually lead to lack of non-locality ( i.e. satisfaction of inequality) in the $v \rightarrow c$ limit. This is shown for both the GHZ and W states and in two different configurations which are commonly studied (\textbf{Case $I$} and \textbf{Case $II$}). Our results are in line with a more familiar case of two particle case. We also show that the satisfaction of Svetlichny's inequality in the $v\rightarrow c$ limit is independent of initial particles' velocity. Our study shows that whenever we use Czachor's relativistic spin operator, results draws a clear picture of three-particle non-locality making its general properties consistent with previous studies on two-particle systems regardless of the W state or the GHZ state is involved.....

Thermodynamical study of FRW universe in Quasi-Topological Theory

By applying the unified first law of thermodynamics on the apparent horizon of FRW universe, we get the entropy relation for the apparent horizon in quasi-topological gravity theory. Throughout the paper, the results of considering the Hayward-Kodama and Cai-Kim temperatures are also addressed. Our study shows that whenever, there is no energy exchange between the various parts of cosmos, we can get an expression for the apparent horizon entropy in quasi-topological gravity, which is in agreement with other attempts followed different approaches. The effects of a mutual interaction between the various parts of cosmos on the apparent horizon entropy as well as the validity of second law of thermodynamics in quasi-topological gravity are also perused.

Thermodynamic descriptions of Polytropic gas and its viscous type as the dark energy candidates

In this paper, at first, we focus on a FRW universe in which the dark energy candidate satisfies the Polytropic equation of state and study thermodynamics of dark energy. Bearing the thermal fluctuation theorem in mind, we establish a relation between the thermal fluctuation of system and mutual interaction between the dark energy and dark matter. Generalization to a viscous Polytropic gas is also investigated. We point to a condition for decaying dark energy candidate into the dark matter needed for alleviating coincidence problem. The effects of dark energy candidates and their interactions with other parts of cosmos on the horizon entropy as well as the second law of thermodynamics are also addressed. Our study signals us to a correction term besides the Bekenstein entropy which carries the information of the dark energy candidate, its interaction with other parts of cosmos and its viscosity.

Thermodynamic of universe with a varying dark energy component

We consider a FRW universe filled by a dark energy candidate together with other possible sources which may include the baryonic and non-baryonic matters. Thereinafter, we consider a situation in which the cosmos sectors do not interact with each other. By applying the unified first law of thermodynamics on the apparent horizon of the FRW universe, we show that the dark energy candidate may modify the apparent horizon entropy and thus the Bekenstein limit. Moreover, we generalize our study to the models in which the cosmos sectors have a mutual interaction. Our final result indicates that the mutual interaction between the cosmos sectors may add an additional term to the apparent horizon entropy leading to modify the Bekenstein limit. Relationships with previous works have been addressed throughout the paper. Finally, we investigate the validity of the second law of thermodynamics and its generalized form in the interacting and non-interacting cosmoses.

Phantom Wormhole Solutions in a Generic Cosmological Constant Background

There are a number of reasons to study wormholes with generic cosmological constant $Λ$. Recent observations indicate that present accelerating expansion of the universe demands $Λ>0$. On the other hand, some extended theories of gravitation such as supergravity and superstring theories posses vacuum states with $Λ<0$. Even within the framework of general relativity, a negative cosmological constant permits black holes with horizons topologically different from the usual spherical ones. These solutions are convertible to wormhole solutions by adding some exotic matter. In this paper, the asymptotically flat wormhole solutions in a generic cosmological constant background are studied. By constructing a specific class of shape functions, mass function, energy density and pressure profiles which support such a geometry are obtained. It is shown that for having such a geometry, the wormhole throat $r_0$, the cosmological constant $Λ$ and the equation of state parameter $ω$ should satisfy two specific conditions. The possibility of setting different values for the parameters of the model helps us to find exact solutions for the metric functions, mass functions and energy-momentum profiles. At last, the volume integral quantifier, which provides useful information about the total amount of energy condition violating matter is discussed briefly.

Thermodynamic behavior and stability of Polytropic gas

We focus on the thermodynamic behavior of Polytropic gas as a candidate for dark energy. We use the general arguments of thermodynamics to investigate its properties and behavior. We find that a Polytropic gas may exhibit the dark energy like behavior in the large volume and low temperature limits. It also may be used to simulate a fluid with zero pressure at the small volume and high temperature limits. Briefly, our study shows that this gas may be used to describe the universe expansion history from the matter dominated era to the current accelerating era. By applying some initial condition to the system, we can establish a relation between the Polytropic gas parameters and initial conditions. Relationships with related works has also been addressed.

Three-particle Bell-like inequalities under Lorentz transformations

We study the effects of Lorentz transformations on three-particle non-local system states (GHZ and W) of spin 1/2 particles, using the Pauli spin operator and a three-particle generalization of Bell's inequality, introduced by Svetlichny. In our setup, the moving and laboratory frames used the (same) set of measurement directions that maximally violate Svetlichny's inequality in the laboratory frame. We also investigate the behavior of Mermin's and Collins' inequalities. We find that, regardless of the particles' type of entanglement, violation of Svetlichny's inequality in the moving frame is decreased by increasing the boost velocity and the energy of particles in the laboratory frame. In the relativistic regime Svetlichny's inequality is a good criterion to investigate the non-locality of the GHZ state. We also find that Mermin's and Collins' inequalities lead to reasonable predictions, in agreement with the behavior of the spin state, about non-locality of the W state in the relativistic regime. Then, comparing our results with those in which Czachor's relativistic spin is used instead of the Pauli operator, we find that the results obtained by considering the Pauli spin operator are in better agreement with the behavior of spin state of the system in the relativistic information theory.

Thermodynamic analysis of universes with the initial and final de-Sitter eras

Our aim is studying the thermodynamics of cosmological models including initial and final de-Sitter eras. For this propose, bearing Cai-Kim temperature in mind, we investigate the thermodynamic properties of a dark energy candidate with variable energy density, and show that the state parameter of this dark energy candidate should obey the $ω_D\neq-1$ constraint, whiles there is no interaction between the fluids filled the universe, and the universe is not in the de-Sitter eras. Additionally, based on thermal fluctuation theory, we study the possibility of inducing fluctuations to the entropy of the dark energy candidate due to a mutual interaction between the cosmos sectors. Therefore, we find a relation between the thermal fluctuations and the mutual interaction between the cosmos sectors, whiles the dark energy candidate has a varying energy density. We point to models in which a gravitationally induced particle production process leads to change the expansion eras, whiles the corresponding pressure is considered as the cause of current acceleration phase. We study its thermodynamics, and show that such processes may also leave thermal fluctuations into the system. We also find an expression between the thermal fluctuations and the particle production rate. Finally, we use Hayward-Kodama temperature to get a relation for the horizon entropy in models including the gravitationally induced particle production process. Our study shows that the first law of thermodynamics is available on the apparent horizon whiles, the gravitationally induced particle production process, as the dark energy candidate, may add an additional term to the Bekenstein limit of the horizon.

Spherically symmetric solutions in a FRW background

We impose perfect fluid concept along with slow expansion approximation to derive new solutions which, considering non-static spherically symmetric metrics, can be treated as Black Holes (BHs). We will refer to these solutions as Quasi BHs. Mathematical and physical features such as Killing vectors, singularities, and mass have been studied. Their horizons and thermodynamic properties have also been investigated. In addition, relationship with other related works (including McVittie's) are described.

Thermodynamical description of the ghost dark energy model

In this paper, we point out thermodynamical description of ghost dark energy and its generalization to the early universe. Thereinafter, we find expressions for the entropy changes of these dark energy candidates. In addition, considering thermal fluctuations, thermodynamics of the dark energy component interacting with a dark matter sector is addressed. {We will also find the effects of considering the coincidence problem on the mutual interaction between the dark sectors, and thus the equation of state parameter of dark energy.} Finally, we derive a relation between the mutual interaction of the dark components of the universe, accelerated with the either ghost dark energy or its generalization, and the thermodynamic fluctuations.

Dynamic Black Holes in a FRW background: Lemaitre transformations

Since the conformal transformations of metric do not change its causal structure, we use these transformations to embed the Lemaitre metrics into the FRW background. In our approach, conformal transformation is in agreement with the universe expansion regimes. Indeed, we use the Lemaitre metrics because the horizon singularity is eliminated in these metrics. For our solutions, there is an event horizon while its physical radii is increasing as a function of the universe expansion provided suitable metrics for investigating the effects of the universe expansion on the Black Holes. In addition, the physical and mathematical properties of the introduced metrics have well-defined behavior on the event horizon. Moreover, some physical and mathematical properties of the introduced metrics have been addressed.

Lovelock gravity from entropic force

In this paper, we first generalize the formulation of entropic gravity to (n+1)-dimensional spacetime. Then, we propose an entropic origin for Gauss-Bonnet gravity and more general Lovelock gravity in arbitrary dimensions. As a result, we are able to derive Newton's law of gravitation as well as the corresponding Friedmann equations in these gravity theories. This procedure naturally leads to a derivation of the higher dimensional gravitational coupling constant of Friedmann/Einstein equation which is in complete agreement with the results obtained by comparing the weak field limit of Einstein equation with Poisson equation in higher dimensions. Our study shows that the approach presented here is powerful enough to derive the gravitational field equations in any gravity theory. PACS: 04.20.Cv, 04.50.-h, 04.70.Dy.
