Remarks on Dolbeault cohomology of Oeljeklaus-Toma manifolds and Hodge theory

We give explicit harmonic representatives of Dolbeault cohomology of Oeljeklaus-Toma manifolds and show that they are geometrically Dolbeault formal. We also give explicit harmonic representatives of Bott-Chern cohomology of Oeljeklaus-Toma manifolds of type $(s,1)$ and study the Angella-Tomassini inequality.

Frölicher spectral sequence and Hodge structures on the cohomology of complex parallelisable manifolds

For complex parallelisable manifolds $Γ\backslash G$, with $G$ a solvable or semisimple complex Lie group, the Frölicher spectral sequence degenerates at the second page. In the solvable case, the de-Rham cohomology carries a pure Hodge structure. In contrast, in the semisimple case, purity depends on the lattice, but there is always a direct summand of the de Rham cohomology which does carry a pure Hodge structure and is independent of the lattice.

Almost-formality and deformations of representations of the fundamental groups of Sasakian manifolds

For a $2n+1$-dimensional compact Sasakian manifold, if $n\ge 2$, we prove that the analytic germ of the variety of representations of the fundamental group at every semi-simple representation is quadratic. To prove this result, we prove the almost-formality of de Rham complex of a Sasakian manifold with values in a semi-simple flat vector bundle. By the almost-formality, we also prove the vanishing theorem on the cup product of the cohomology of semi-simple flat vector bundles over a compact Sasakian manifold.

Twisted Lefschetz numbers of infra-solvmanifolds and algebraic groups

Twisted Lefschetz numbers are extensions of the ordinary Lefschetz numbers for cohomologies with values in flat bundles. As a generalization of linearization formula for the ordinary Lefschetz number of a self-map of a nilmanifold, we show that a twisted Lefschetz number of any self-map of any infra-solvmanifold is equal to the determinant ${\rm det}(I-A)$ for some matrix $A$ by using the cohomology of algebraic groups.

Transverse Kähler structures on central foliations of complex manifolds

For a compact complex manifold, we introduce holomorphic foliations associated with certain abelian subgroups of the automorphism group. Such foliations are generalizations of holomorphic principal torus bundles. If there exists a transverse Kähler structure on such a foliation, then we obtain a nice differential graded algebra which is quasi-isomorphic to the de Rham complex and a nice differential bigraded algebra which is quasi-isomorphic to the Dolbeault complex like the formality of compact Kähler manifolds. Moreover, under certain additional condition, we can develop Morgan's theory of mixed Hodge structures as similar to the study on smooth algebraic varieties.

Cohomologies of deformations of solvmanifolds and closedness of some properties

We provide further techniques to study the Dolbeault and Bott-Chern cohomologies of deformations of solvmanifolds by means of finite-dimensional complexes. By these techniques, we can compute the Dolbeault and Bott-Chern cohomologies of some complex solvmanifolds, and we also get explicit examples, showing in particular that either the $\partial\overline{\partial}$-Lemma or the property that the Hodge and Frölicher spectral sequence degenerates at the first level are not closed under deformations.

Bott-Chern cohomology of solvmanifolds

We study conditions under which sub-complexes of a double complex of vector spaces allow to compute the Bott-Chern cohomology. We are especially aimed at studying the Bott-Chern cohomology of special classes of solvmanifolds, namely, complex parallelizable solvmanifolds and solvmanifolds of splitting type. More precisely, we can construct explicit finite-dimensional double complexes that allow to compute the Bott-Chern cohomology of compact quotients of complex Lie groups, respectively, of some Lie groups of the type $\mathbb{C}^n\ltimes_φN$ where $N$ is nilpotent. As an application, we compute the Bott-Chern cohomology of the complex parallelizable Nakamura manifold and of the completely-solvable Nakamura manifold. In particular, the latter shows that the property of satisfying the $\partial\overline\partial$-Lemma is not strongly-closed under deformations of the complex structure.

Generalized deformations and holomorphic Poisson cohomology of solvmanifolds

We describe the generalized Kuranishi spaces of solvmanifolds with left-invariant complex structures. By using such description, we study the stability of left-invariantness of deformed generalized complex structures and smoothness of generalized Kuranishi spaces on certain classes of solvmanifolds. We also give explicit finite dimensional cohcain complexes which computes the holomorphic Poisson cohomology of nilmanifolds and solvmanifolds.

Symplectic Bott-Chern cohomology of solvmanifolds

We study the symplectic Bott-Chern cohomology by L.-S. Tseng and S.-T. Yau for solvmanifolds endowed with left-invariant symplectic structures. Our results are applicable to cohomology with values in local systems. Studying symplectic Bott-Chern cohomology of solvmanifolds with values in local systems, we give some remarks on symplectic Hodge theory.

On de Rham and Dolbeault Cohomology of Solvmanifolds

For a simply connected (non-nilpotent) solvable Lie group $G$ with a lattice $Γ$ the de Rham and Dolbeault cohomologies of the solvmanifold $G/Γ$ are not in general isomorphic to the cohomologies of the Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ of $G$. In this paper we construct, up to a finite group, a new Lie algebra $\tilde{\mathfrak g}$ whose cohomology is isomorphic to the de Rham cohomology of $G/Γ$ by using a modification of $G$ associated with a algebraic sub-torus of the Zariski-closure of the image of the adjoint representation. This technique includes the construction due to Guan and developed by the first two authors. In this paper, we also give a Dolbeault version of such technique for complex solvmanifolds, i.e. for solvmanifolds endowed with an invariant complex structure. We construct a finite dimensional cochain complex which computes the Dolbeault cohomology of a complex solvmanifold $G/Γ$ with holomorphic Mostow bundle and we give a construction of a new Lie algebra $\breve {\mathfrak g}$ with a complex structure whose cohomology is isomorphic to the Dolbeault cohomology of $G/Γ$.

Extended simplicial rational Nomizu's Theorem

For a torsion-free virtually polycyclic group $Γ$, we give a canonical homomorphism form certain finite-dimensional cochain complex to the $\Q$-polynomial de Rham complex of the simplicial classifying space $BΓ$ which induces a cohomology isomorphism. By this result, we obtain the Sullivan's minimal model of certain differential graded algebra defined on $BΓ$ and we obtain new examples of hard Lefschetz symplectic manifolds and hard Lefschetz contact manifolds.

Mixed Hodge structures and Sullivan's minimal models of Sasakian manifolds

We show that the Malcev Lie algebra of the fundamental group of a compact $2n+1$-dimensional Sasakian manifold with $n\ge 2$ admits a quadratic presentation by using Morgan's bigradings of minimal models of mixed-Hodge diagrams. By using bigradings of minimal models, we also simplify the proof of the result of Cappelletti-Montano, De Nicola, Marrero and Yudin on Sasakian nilmanifolds.

Cohomologies of Sasakian groups and Sasakian solvmanifolds

We show certain symmetry of the dimensions of cohomologies of the funda- mental groups of compact Sasakian manifolds by using the Hodge theory of twisted basic cohomology. As applications, we show that the polycyclic fundamental groups of compact Sasakian manifolds are virtually nilpotent and Sasakian solvmanifolds are finite quotients of Heisenberg nilmanifolds.

Central theorems for cohomologies of certain solvable groups

We show that the group cohomology of torsion-free virtually polycyclic groups and the continuous cohomology of simply connected solvable Lie groups can be computed by the rational cohomology of algebraic groups. Our results are generalizations of certian results on the cohomology of solvmanifolds and infra-solvmanifolds. Moreover as an application of our results, we give a simple proof of the surprising cohomology vanishing theorem given by Dekimpe-Igodt.

Singularity of the varieties of representations of lattices in solvable Lie groups

For a lattice $Γ$ of a simply connected solvable Lie group $G$, we describe the analytic germ in the variety of representations of $Γ$ at the trivial representation as an analytic germ which is linearly embedded in the analytic germ associated with the nilpotent Lie algebra determined by $G$. By this description, under certain assumption, we study the singularity of the analytic germ in the variety of representations of $Γ$ at the trivial representation by using the Kuranishi space construction. By a similar technique, we also study deformations of holomorphic structures of trivial vector bundles over complex parallelizable solvmanifolds.

Tamed symplectic structures on compact solvmanifolds of completely solvable type

A compact solvmanifold of completely solvable type, i.e. a compact quotient of a completely solvable Lie group by a lattice, has a Kähler structure if and only if it is a complex torus. We show more in general that a compact solvmanifold $M$ of completely solvable type endowed with an invariant complex structure $J$ admits a symplectic form taming J if and only if $M$ is a complex torus. This result generalizes the one obtained in [7] for nilmanifolds.

Cohomologies of generalized complex manifolds and nilmanifolds

We study generalized complex cohomologies of generalized complex structures constructed from certain symplectic fibre bundles over complex manifolds. We apply our results in the case of left-invariant generalized complex structures on nilmanifolds and to their space of small deformations.
