Global small solution and optimal decay rate for the Korteweg system in Besov spaces

In this paper we consider the Cauchy problem to the Korteweg system with the general pressure in dimension $d\geq2$, and establish the global well-posedness of strong solution for the small initial data in $L^p$ type critical Besov spaces by using the Friedrich method and compactness arguments. Furthermore, we also obtain the optimal decay rate for the Korteweg system in $L^2$ type Besov spaces.

On some large global solutions for the compressible magnetohydrodynamic system

In this paper we consider the global well-posedness of compressible magnetohydrodynamic system in $\R^d$ with $d\geq2$, in the framework of the critical Besov spaces. We can show that if the initial data, the shear viscosity and the magnetic diffusion coefficient are small comparing with the volume viscosity, then compressible magnetohydrodynamic system has a unique global solution.

Local well-posedness of the incompressible Euler equations in $B^1_{\infty,1}$ and the inviscid limit of the Navier-Stokes equations

We prove the inviscid limit of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in the same topology of Besov spaces as the initial data. The proof is based on proving the continuous dependence of the Navier-Stokes equations uniformly with respect to the viscosity. To show the latter, we rely on some Bona-Smith type method in the $L^p$ setting. Our obtained result implies a new result that the Cauchy problem of the Euler equations is locally well-posed in the borderline Besov space $B^{\frac dp+1}_{p,1}(\mathbb{R}^d)$, $1\leq p\leq \infty$, $d\geq 2$, in the sense of Hadmard, which is an open problem left in recent works by Bourgain and Li in \cite{BL,BL1} and by Misiołek and Yoneda in \cite{MY,MY2, MY3}.

Infinitely Split Nash Equilibrium Problems in Repeated Games

In this paper, we introduce the concept of infinitely split Nash equilibrium in repeated games in which the profile sets are chain-complete posets. Then by using a fixed point theorem on posets in [8], we prove an existence theorem. As an application, we study the repeated extended Bertrant duopoly model of price competition.

Split Nash Equilibria for Related Games and Applications to Economics

In this paper we introduce the concept of split Nash equilibrium problems associated with two related noncooperative strategic games. Then we apply the Fan-KKM theorem to prove the existence of solutions to split Nash equilibrium problems of related noncooperative strategic games, in which the strategy sets of the players are nonempty closed and convex subsets in Banach spaces. As application of this existence to economics, an example is provided to study the existence of split Nash equilibrium of utilities of two related economies. As applications, we study the existence of split Nash equilibrium in the dual extended Bertrant duopoly model of price competition

Ill-posedness for the Hamilton-Jacobi equation in Besov spaces $B^0_{\infty,q}$

In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem for the following Hamilton-Jacobi equation \bbal\bca \pa_tu-\De u=|\na u|^2,\quad t>0, \ x\in \R^d,\\ u(0,x)=u_0, \quad \quad x\in \R^d. \eca\end{align*} We show that the solution map in Besov spaces $B^0_{\infty,q}(\R^d),1\leq q\leq \infty$ is discontinuous at origin. That is, we can construct a sequence initial data $\{u^N_0\}$ satisfying $||u^N_0||_{B^0_{\infty,q}(\R^d)}\rightarrow 0, \ N\rightarrow \infty$ such that the corresponding solution $\{u^N\}$ with $u^N(0)=u^N_0$ satisfies \bbal ||u^N||_{L^\infty_T(B^0_{\infty,q}(\R^d))}\geq c_0, \qquad \forall \ T>0, \quad N\gg 1, \end{align*} with a constant $c_0>0$ independent of $N$.

Nonlinear Split Ordered Variational Inequality Problems

The concept of nonlinear split ordered variational inequality problems on partially ordered vector spaces is a natural extension of linear split vector variational inequality problems on Banach spaces. The results about nonlinear split ordered variational inequality problems are immediately applied to solving nonlinear split vector optimization problems. In this paper, we prove the solvability of some nonlinear split ordered variational inequality problems by using some fixed point theorems on partially ordered spaces, in which the considered mappings may not be required to have any type of continuity and they just satisfy some order-monotonic conditions. As applications of the results about nonlinear split ordered variational inequality problems, we study solvability of some nonlinear split variational inequality problems and linear split variational inequality problems on partially ordered vector spaces and partially ordered Banach spaces.

Parametric Summability and Its Applications

In this paper we study summability based on double sequences of complex constants as it is defined in "Linear Operators, General Theory" by N. Dunford and J. T. Schwartz. We define "power double sequences" or infinite "power matrices" as certain generalizations of double sequences and power series. We relate the summability and boundedness of the power double sequences to the summability and boundedness of the double sequence \textit{A}. While others do investigate "power matrices" their definitions, as far as we were able to find, differ from our definitions. Using these definitions we extend some summability results for double sequences of constants to our power double sequences. We investigate also other possible generalizations of double sequences and assess their usefulness in summability study.

Summability of Sequence of Random Variables

In this paper, we study the summability properties of double sequences of real constants which map sequences of random variables to sequences of random variables that are defined on the same probability sample space. We show that a regular method of summability is still regular on sequences of random variables with almost everywhere convergence, almost sure convergence, and with $L_p$-convergence. It is not necessarily regular on sequences of random variables with convergence in probability. We extend these results to random variables with values in extended real numbers (extended real numbers include infinite values, see definitions 2.2 and 2.3). For this we introduce a construction that allows us to multiply sequences of extended real numbers with infinite real matrices.

Constrained Ordered Equilibrium Problems

In this paper, we consider some equilibrium problems (or saddle point problems), in which the domains of the considered mappings are limited at some regions. These restricted regions are defined by some mappings which are called the constrained mappings in the given problems. For this reason, we introduce the concepts of constrained ordered equilibrium problems, that are useful extensions of ordered equilibrium problems and ordinary equilibrium problems. Then, by using some fixed point theorems on posets, we prove several theorems for existence of solutions to some constrained ordered equilibrium problems. In particular, we investigate the solvability of some constrained ordered equilibrium problems in some partially ordered Banach spaces.

Several Fixed Point Theorems on Partially Ordered Banach Spaces and Applications

In this paper, we prove several fixed point theorems on both of normal partially ordered Banach spaces and regular partially ordered Banach spaces by using the normality, regularity, full regularity, and chain -complete property. Then, by applying these theorems, we provide some existence and uniqueness of solutions to some integral equations. We also prove the solvability of some equilibrium problems in Banach spaces.

A note on the inviscid limit of the incompressible MHD equations

In this paper, we prove that as the viscosity and resistivity go to zero, the solution of the Cauchy problem for the incompressible MHD equations converges to the solution of the ideal MHD equations in the same topology with the initial data. Our proof mainly depends on the method introduced by the paper \cite{G.L.Y} and the constructions of the incompressible MHD equations.

On the Normality, Regularity and Chain-completeness of Partially Ordered Banach Spaces and Applications

In this paper, we study the connections between the normality, regularity, full regularity, and chain-complete property in partially ordered Banach spaces. Then, by applying these properties, we prove some fixed point theorems on partially ordered Banach spaces. As applications of these fixed point theorems, we prove the existence of solutions of some integral equations, such as Hammerstein integral equations, in Banach spaces.
