Transition temperature and a spatial dependence of the superconducting gap for multilayer high-temperature superconductors

We derive the expressions for the transition temperature $(T_{c})$, and the spatial dependence of the superconducting gap for a multilayer high-$T_{c}$ superconductor composed of groups of tightly spaced planes separated by a larger distance. The results are compared with experiment and provide a strong support for an interlayer hopping as the driving force of the large $T_{c}$ enhancement in multilayered compounds. Our results are universal in the sense that they are valid for an arbitrary pairing potential $V_{\bf k k'}$ in the $\rm CuO_{2}$ planes, as well as for both Fermi and nonFermi liquids.

Spin-Charge Separated Luttinger Liquid in Arbitrary Spatial Dimensions

A model with a singular forward scattering amplitude for particles with opposite spins in d spatial dimensions is proposed and solved by using the bosonization transformation. This interacting potential leads to the spin-charge separation. Thermal properties at low temperature for this Luttinger liquid are discussed. Also, the explicit form of the single-electron Green function is found; it has square-root branch cut. New fermion field operators are defined; they describe holons and spinons as the elementary excitations. Their single particle Green functions possess pseudoparticle properties. Using these operators the spin-charge separated Hamiltonian for an ideal gases of holons and spinons is derived and reflects an inverse (fermionization) transformation.

Universality Classes, Statistical Exclusion Principle and Properties of Interacting Fermions

We point to the possibility of existence of the statistical-spin-liquid state as the state which differs from either Fermi or Luttinger liquid states. In the statistical spin liquid the double occupancies are excluded from the physical space. Each of the above three cases (Fermi, Luttinger and spin liquids) represents an universality class for the interacting many-particle fermion systems. The properties of the spin liquid such as the chemical potential, the entropy, and the magnetization curve, as well as the quasiparticle structure are briefly discussed.

Statistical properties and statistical interaction for particles with spin: Hubbard model in one dimension and statistical spin liquid

We derive the statistical distribution functions for the Hubbard chain with infinite Coulomb repulsion among particles and for the statistical spin liquid with an arbitrary magnitude of the local interaction in momentum space. Haldane's statistical interaction is derived from an exact solution for each of the two models. In the case of the Hubbard chain the charge (holon) and the spin (spinon) excitations decouple completely and are shown to behave statistically as fermions and bosons, respectively. In both cases the statistical interaction must contain several components, a rule for the particles with the internal symmetry.
