Three-loop universal anomalous dimension of the Wilson operators in N=4 Supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory

We present results for the three-loop universal anomalous dimension of Wilson twist-2 operators in the N=4 Supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. These expressions are obtained by extracting the most complicated contributions from the three-loop anomalous dimensions in QCD. This result is in an agreement with the hypothesis of the integrability of N=4 Supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory in the context of AdS/CFT-correspondence.

Solution of the Fan Diagram Equation in 2+1 Dimensional QCD

We investigate the Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) equation for D=3 space-time dimensions, corresponding to one transverse coordinate, and we show that it can be solved analytically. The explicit solutions are found in the linear approximation and for the paricular cases when they do not depend on the impact parameter of the dipole or on its rapidity. It is shown, that in a general case different solutions are related by an infinite parameter group of transformations. The key observation is that the equation has the Kowalewskaya-Painlevé property, which gives the possibility of reducing the non-linear problem to the solution of a linear integral equation.

Interactions of Reggeized Gluons in the Möbius Representation

We investigate consequences of the Möbius invariance of the BFKL Hamiltonian and of the triple Pomeron vertex. In particular, we show that the triple Pomeron vertex in QCD, when restricted to the large $N_c$ limit and to the space of Möbius functions, simplifies and reduces to the vertex used in the Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) equation. As a result, the BK equation for the dipole density appears as a special case of the nonlinear evolution equation which sums the fan diagrams for BFKL Green's functions in the Möbius representation. We also calculate the corrections $O(1/(N_c^2-1)$ to the triple Pomeron vertex in the space of Möbius functions, and we present a generalization of the BK-equation in the next-to-leading order approximation in the $1/N_c$ expansion.

BFKL Pomeron at non-zero temperature and integrability of the Reggeon dynamics in multi-colour QCD

We consider the QCD scattering amplitudes at high energies sqrt{s} and fixed momentum transfers sqrt{-t} in the leading logarithmic approximation at a non-zero temperature T in the t-channel. It is shown that the BFKL Hamiltonian has the property of holomorphic separability. The Pomeron wave function for arbitrary T is calculated using an integral of motion. In multi-colour QCD, the holomorphic Hamiltonian for n-reggeized gluons at temperature T is shown to coincide with the local Hamiltonian of an integrable Heisenberg model and can be obtained from the T=0 Hamiltonian by an unitary transformation. We discuss the wave functions and the spectrum of intercepts for the colourless reggeon states.

DGLAP and BFKL evolution equations in the N=4 supersymmetric gauge theory

We derive the DGLAP and BFKL evolution equations in the N=4 supersymmetric gauge theory in the next-to-leading approximation. The eigenvalue of the BFKL kernel in this model turns out to be an analytic function of the conformal spin |n|. Its analytic continuation to negative |n| in the leading logarithmic approximation allows us to obtain residues of anomalous dimensions γof twist-2 operators in the non-physical points j=0,-1,... from the BFKL equation in an agreement with their direct calculation from the DGLAP equation. Moreover, in the multi-color limit of the N=4 model the BFKL and DGLAP dynamics in the leading logarithmic approximation is integrable for an arbitrary number of particles. In the next-to-leading approximation the holomorphic separability of the Pomeron hamiltonian is violated, but the corresponding Bethe-Salpeter kernel has the property of a hermitian separability. The main singularities of anomalous dimensions γat j=-r obtained from the BFKL and DGLAP equations in the next-to-leading approximation coincide but our accuracy is not enough to verify an agreement for residues of subleading poles.

Anomalous dimensions of Wilson operators in N=4 SYM theory

We present the results of two-loop calculations of the anomalous dimension matrix for the Wilson twist-2 operators in the N=4 Supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory for polarized and unpolarized cases. This matrix can be transformed to a triangle form by the same similarity transformation as in the leading order. The eigenvalues of the anomalous dimension matrix are expressed in terms of an universal function with its argument shifted by integer numbers. In the conclusion we discuss relations between the weak and strong coupling regimes in the framework of the AdS/CFT correspondence.

High-Energy QCD Asymptotics of Photon-Photon Collisions

The high-energy behaviour of the total cross section for highly virtual photons, as predicted by the BFKL equation at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD, is discussed. The NLO BFKL predictions, improved by the BLM optimal scale setting, are in good agreement with recent OPAL and L3 data at CERN LEP2. NLO BFKL predictions for future linear colliders are presented.

The BFKL Pomeron within Physical Renormalization Schemes and Scales

In this lecture the next-to-leading order (NLO) corrections to the QCD Pomeron intercept obtained from the Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) equation are discussed. It is shown that the BFKL Pomeron intercept when evaluated in non-Abelian physical renormalization schemes with Brodsky-Lepage-Mackenzie (BLM) optimal scale setting does not exhibit the serious problems encountered in the modified minimal subtraction (bar{MS}) scheme. The results obtained provide an opportunity for applications of the NLO BFKL resummation to high-energy phenomenology. One of such applications for virtual gamma-gamma total cross section shows a good agreement with preliminary data at CERN LEP.

Radiative corrections to the quark-gluon-Reggeized quark vertex in QCD

This paper is devoted to the calculation of the quark-gluon-Reggeized quark effective vertex in perturbative QCD in the next-to-leading order. The case of QCD with massive quarks is considered. This vertex has a number of applications, in particular, the result can be used for determination of the next-to-leading correction to the massive Reggeized quark trajectory.

Exact resolution of the Baxter equation for reggeized gluon interactions

The interaction of reggeized gluons in multi-colour QCD is considered in the Baxter-Sklyanin representation, where the wave function is expressed as a product of Baxter functions Q(lambda) and a pseudo-vacuum state. We find n solutions of the Baxter equation for a composite state of n gluons with poles of rank r in the upper lambda semi-plane and of rank n-1-r in the lower lambda semi-plane (0 leq r leq n-1). These solutions are related by n-2 linear equations with coefficients depending on coth (pi lambda). The poles cancel in the wave function, bilinear combination of holomorphic and anti-holomorphic Baxter functions, guaranteeing its normalizability. The quantization of the intercepts of the corresponding Regge singularities appears as a result of the physical requirements that the holomorphic energies for all solutions of the Baxter equation are the same and the total energies, calculated around two singularities lambda, lambda^* --> + i or -i, coincide. It results in simple properties of the zeroes of the Baxter functions. For illustration we calculate the parameters of the reggeon states constructed from three and four gluons. For the Odderon the ground state has conformal spin |m -m | = 1 and its intercept equals unity. The ground state of four reggeized gluons possesses conformal spin 2 and its intercept turns out to be higher than that for the BFKL Pomeron. We calculate the anomalous dimensions of the corresponding operators for arbitrary alpha_s/omega.

DGLAP and BFKL evolution equations in the N=4 supersymmetric gauge theory

We discuss DGLAP and BFKL evolution equations in the N=4 supersymmetric gauge theory in the leading and next-to-leading approximations. Eigenvalues of the BFKL kernel in this model turn out to be analytic functions of the conformal spin. It allows us to find the residues of the anomalous dimensions of the twist-2 operators in the points j=1,0,-1, ... from the BFKL equation in an agreement with their direct calculation from the DGLAP equation. The holomorphic separability of the BFKL kernel and the integrability of the DGLAP dynamics in this model are also discussed.

Interaction of Reggeized Gluons in the Baxter-Sklyanin Representation

We investigate the Baxter equation for the Heisenberg spin model corresponding to a generalized BFKL equation describing composite states of n Reggeized gluons in the multi-color limit of QCD. The Sklyanin approach is used to find an unitary transformation from the impact parameter representation to the representation in which the wave function factorizes as a product of Baxter functions and a pseudo-vacuum state. We show that the solution of the Baxter equation is a meromorphic function with poles (lambda - i r)^{-(n-1)} (r= 0, 1,...) and that the intercept for the composite Reggeon states is expressed through the behavior of the Baxter function around the pole at lambda = i . The absence of pole singularities in the two complex dimensional lambda-plane for the bilinear combination of holomorphic and anti-holomorphic Baxter functions leads to the quantization of the integrals of motion because the holomorphic energy should be the same for all independent Baxter functions.

Quasi-multi-Regge Processes with a Quark Exchange in the t-channel

The QCD amplitudes for particle's production in the quasi-multi-Regge kinematics with a quark exchange in crossing channels are calculated in the Born approximation. In particular they are needed to find next-to-leading corrections to the quark Regge trajectory and to the integral kernel of the Bethe-Salpeter equation for the t-channel partial wave with fermion quantum numbers and a negative signature. The gauge-invariant action for the interaction of the reggeized quarks and gluons with the usual particles is constructed.

QED radiative corrections to impact factors

We consider the radiative corrections to the impact factors of electron and photon. According to a generalized eikonal representation the e\bar e scattering amplitude at high energies and fixed momentum transfers is proportional to the electron form factor. But we show that this representation is violated due to the presence of non-planar diagrams. One loop correction to the photon impact factor for small virtualities of the exchanged photon is obtained using the known results for the cross section of the e\bar e production at photon-nuclei interactions.

NLO corrections to the BFKL equation in QCD and in supersymmetric gauge theories

We study next-to-leading corrections to the integral kernel of the BFKL equation for high energy cross-sections in QCD and in supersymmetric gauge theories. The eigenvalue of the BFKL kernel is calculated in an analytic form as a function of the anomalous dimension γof the local gauge-invariant operators and their conformal spin n. For the case of an extended N=4 SUSY the kernel is significantly simplified. In particular, the terms non-analytic in n are canceled. We discuss the relation between the DGLAP and BFKL equations in the N=4 model.

Resummation of double logarithms in electroweak high energy processes

At future linear $e^+e^-$ collider experiments in the TeV range, Sudakov double logarithms originating from massive boson exchange can lead to significant corrections to the cross sections of the observable processes. These effects are important for the high precision objectives of the Next Linear Collider. We use the infrared evolution equation, based on a gauge invariant dispersive method, to obtain double logarithmic asymptotics of scattering amplitudes and discuss how it can be applied, in the case of broken gauge symmetry, to the Standard Model of electroweak processes. We discuss the double logarithmic effects to both non-radiative processes and to processes accompanied by soft gauge boson emission. In all cases the Sudakov double logarithms are found to exponentiate. We also discuss double logarithmic effects of a non-Sudakov type which appear in Regge-like processes.

Duality symmetry of Reggeon interactions in multicolour QCD

The duality symmetry of the Hamiltonian and integrals of motion for Reggeon interactions in multicolour QCD is formulated as an integral equation for the wave function of compound states of $n$ reggeized gluons. In particular the Odderon problem in QCD is reduced to the solution of the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation. The Odderon Hamiltonian is written in a normal form, which gives a possibility to express it as a function of its integrals of motion.
