Estimating the mass of the hidden charm $1^+(1^{+})$ tetraquark state via QCD sum rules

By using QCD sum rules, the mass of the hidden charm tetraquark $[cu][\bar{c}\bar{d}]$ state with $I^{G} (J^{P}) = 1^+ (1^{+})$ (HCTV) is estimated, which presumably will turn out to be the newly observed charmonium-like resonance $Z_c^+(3900)$. In the calculation, contributions up to dimension eight in the operator product expansion(OPE) are taken into account. We find $m_{1^+}^c = (3912^{+306}_{-153}) \, \text{MeV}$, which is consistent, within the errors, with the experimental observation of $Z_c^+(3900)$. Extending to the b-quark sector, $m_{1^+}^b = (10561^{+395}_{-163}) \,\text{MeV}$ is obtained. The calculational result strongly supports the tetraquark picture for the "exotic" states of $Z_c^+(3900)$ and $Z_b^+(10610)$.

Finding the $0^{--}$ Glueball

With appropriate interpolating currents the mass spectrum of $0^{--}$ oddball is obtained in the framework of QCD Sum Rules (QCDSR). We find there are two stable oddballs with masses of $3.81 \pm 0.12 \, \text{GeV}$ and $4.33 \pm 0.13 \, \text{GeV}$, and analyze their possible production and decay modes in experiments. Noticing that these $0^{--}$ oddballs with unconventional quantum number are attainable in BESIII, BELLEII, PANDA, Super-B and LHCb experiments, we believe the long search elusive glueball could be measured shortly.

Molecular states with hidden charm and strange in QCD Sum Rules

This work uses the QCD Sum Rules to study the masses of the $D_s \bar{D}_s^*$ and $D_s^* \bar{D}_s^*$ molecular states with quantum numbers $J^{PC} = 1^{+-}$. Interpolating currents with definite C-parity are employed, and the contributions up to dimension eight in the Operator Product Expansion (OPE) are taken into account. The results indicate that two hidden strange charmonium-like states may exist in the energy ranges of $3.83 \sim 4.13 $ GeV and $4.22 \sim 4.54 $ GeV, respectively. The hidden strange charmonium-like states predicted in this work may be accessible in future experiments, e.g. BESIII, BelleII and SuperB. Possible decay modes, which may be useful in further research, are predicted.

On the generalized Chen's conjecture on biharmonic submanifolds

The generalized Chen's conjecture on biharmonic submanifolds asserts that any biharmonic submanifold of a non-positively curved manifold is minimal (see e.g., [CMO1], [MO], [BMO1], [BMO2], [BMO3], [Ba1], [Ba2], [Ou1], [Ou2], [IIU]). In this paper, we prove that this conjecture is false by constructing foliations of proper biharmonic hyperplanes in a 5-dimensional conformally flat space with negative sectional curvature. Many examples of proper biharmonic submanifolds of non-positively curved spaces are also given.

Interpretation of $Z_c(4025)$ as the Hidden Charm Tetraquark States via QCD Sum Rules

By using QCD Sum Rules, we found that the charged hidden charm tetraquark $[c u][\bar{c} \bar{d}]$ states with $ J^P = 1^-$ and $ 2^+$, which are possible quantum numbers of the newly observed charmonium-like resonance $Z_c(4025)$, have masses of $m_{1^-}^c = (4.54 \pm 0.20) \, \text{GeV}$ and $m_{2^+}^c = (4.04 \pm 0.19) \, \text{GeV}$. The contributions up to dimension eight in the Operator Product Expansion (OPE) were taken into account in the calculation. The tetraquark mass of $J^{P} = 2^{+}$ state was consistent with the experimental data of $Z_c(4025)$, suggesting the $Z_c(4025)$ state possessing the quantum number of $J^P = 2^+$. Extending to the b-quark sector, the corresponding tetraquark masses $m_{1^-}^b = (10.97 \pm 0.25) \, \text{GeV}$ and $m_{2^+}^b = (10.35 \pm 0.25) \, \text{GeV}$ were obtained, which are testable in future B-factories.

On the existence of the relative equilibria of a rigid body in the J2 problem

The motion of a point mass in the J2 problem has been generalized to that of a rigid body in a J2 gravity field for new high-precision applications in the celestial mechanics and astrodynamics. Unlike the original J2 problem, the gravitational orbit-rotation coupling of the rigid body is considered in the generalized problem. The existence and properties of both the classical and non-classical relative equilibria of the rigid body are investigated in more details in the present paper based on our previous results. We nondimensionalize the system by the characteristic time and length to make the study more general. Through the study, it is found that the classical relative equilibria can always exist in the real physical situation. Numerical results suggest that the non-classical relative equilibria only can exist in the case of a negative J2, i.e., the central body is elongated; they cannot exist in the case of a positive J2 when the central body is oblate. In the case of a negative J2, the effect of the orbit-rotation coupling of the rigid body on the existence of the non-classical relative equilibria can be positive or negative, which depends on the values of J2 and the angular velocity. The bifurcation from the classical relative equilibria, at which the non-classical relative equilibria appear, has been shown with different parameters of the system. Our results here have given more details of the relative equilibria than our previous paper, in which the existence conditions of the relative equilibria are derived and primarily studied. Our results have also extended the previous results on the relative equilibria of a rigid body in a central gravity field by taking into account the oblateness of the central body.

Study on the effects of the light CP-odd Higgs via the leptonic decays of pseudoscalar mesons

To explain the anomalously large decay rate of $Σ^+\to p+μ^+μ^-$, it was proposed that a new mechanism where a light CP-odd pseudoscalar boson of $m_{A_1^0}=214.3$ MeV makes a crucial contribution. Later, some authors have studied the transition $π^0\to e^+e^-$ and $Υ\to γA_1^0$ in terms of the same mechanism and their result indicates that with the suggested mass one cannot fit the data. This discrepancy might be caused by experimental error of $Σ^+\to p+μ^+μ^-$ because there were only a few events. Whether the mechanism is a reasonable one motivates us to investigate the transitions $π^0\to e^+e^-; η(η^\prime)\to μ^+μ^-; η_c\to μ^+μ^-; η_b\toτ^+τ^-$ within the same framework. It is noted that for $π^0\to e^+e^-$, the standard model (SM) prediction is smaller than the data, whereas the experimental central value of $η\to μ^+μ^-$ is also above the SM prediction. It means that there should be extra contributions from other mechanisms and the contribution of $A_1^0$ may be a possible one. Theoretically calculating the branching ratios of the concerned modes, we would check if we can obtain a universal mass for $A_1^0$ which reconcile the theoretical predictions and data for all the modes. Unfortunately, we find that it is impossible to have such a mass with the same coupling $|g_\ell|$. Therefore we conclude that the phenomenology does not favor such a light $A_1^0$, even though a small window is still open.

Biharmonic hypersurfaces in a conformally flat space

Biharmonic hypersurfaces in a generic conformally flat space are studied in this paper. The equation of such hypersurfaces is derived and is used to determine the conformally flat metric $f^{-2}δ_{ij}$ on the Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^{m+1}$ so that a minimal hypersurface $M^m\longrightarrow (\mathbb{R}^{m+1}, δ_{ij})$ in a Euclidean space becomes a biharmonic hypersurface $M^m\longrightarrow (\mathbb{R}^{m+1}, f^{-2}δ_{ij})$ in the conformally flat space. Our examples include all biharmonic hypersurfaces found in [Ou1] and [OT] as special cases.

Performance Analysis of Spectrum Sensing With Multiple Status Changes in Primary User Traffic

In this letter, the impact of primary user traffic with multiple status changes on the spectrum sensing performance is analyzed. Closed-form expressions for the probabilities of false alarm and detection are derived. Numerical results show that the multiple status changes of the primary user cause considerable degradation in the sensing performance. This degradation depends on the number of changes, the primary user traffic model, the primary user traffic intensity and the signal-to-noise ratio of the received signal. Numerical results also show that the amount of degradation decreases when the number of changes increases, and converges to a minimum sensing performance due to the limited sensing period and primary holding time.

Study of Doubly Heavy Baryon Spectrum via QCD Sum Rules

In this work, we calculate the mass spectrum of doubly heavy baryons with the diquark model in terms of the QCD sum rules. The interpolating currents are composed of a heavy diquark field and a light quark field. Contributions of the operators up to dimension six are taken into account in the operator product expansion. Within a reasonable error tolerance, our numerical results are compatible with other theoretical predictions. This indicates that the diquark picture reflects the reality and is applicable to the study of doubly heavy baryons.

Discussions on Stability of Diquarks

Since the birth of the quark model, the diquark which is composed of two quarks has been considered as a substantial structure of color anti-triplet. This is not only a mathematical simplification for dealing with baryons, but also provides a physical picture where the diquark would behave as a whole object. It is natural to ask whether such a structure is sufficiently stable against external disturbance. The mass spectra of the ground states of the scalar and axial-vector diquarks which are composed of two-light (L-L), one-light-one-heavy (H-L) and two-heavy quarks (H-H) respectively have been calculated in terms of the QCD sum rules. We suggest a criterion as the quantitative standard for the stability of the diquark. It is the gap between the masses of the diquark and $\sqrt{s_0}$ where $s_0$ is the threshold of the excited states and continuity, namely the larger the gap is, the more stable the diquark would be. In this work, we calculate the masses of the type H-H to complete the series of the spectra of the ground state diquarks. However, as the criterion being taken, we find that all the gaps for the various diquaks are within a small range, especially the gap for the diquark with two heavy quarks which is believed to be a stable structure, is slightly smaller than that for other two types of diquarks, therefore we conclude that because of the large theoretical uncertainty, we cannot use the numerical results obtained with the QCD sum rules to assess the stability of diquarks, but need to invoke other theoretical framework.

Determining $1^{--}$ Heavy Hybrid Masses via QCD Sum Rules

The masses of $1^{--}$ charmonium and bottomonium hybrids are evaluated in terms of QCD sum rules. We find that the ground state hybrid in charm sector lies in $m_{H_c}=4.12\sim 4.79$ GeV, while in bottom sector the hybrid may situated in $m_{H_b} = 10.24\sim 11.15$ GeV. Since the numerical result on charmonium hybrid mass is not compatible with the charmonium spectra, including structures newly observed in experiment, we tempt to conclude that such a hybrid does not purely exist, but rather as an admixture with other states, like glueball and regular quarkonium, in experimental observation. However, our result on bottomonium hybrid coincide with the "exotic structure" recently observed at BELLE.

Study on the mixing among the $0^{++}$ mesons around $1\sim 2$ $\mathrm{GeV}$ with the QCD sum rules

We calculate the correlation functions of $0^{++}$ $q\bar q$, $s\bar s$ and glueball in the QCD sum rules and obtain the mass matrix where non-diagonal terms are determined by the cross correlations among the three states. Diagonalizing the mass matrix and identifying the eigenstates as the physical $0^{++}$ scalar mesons, we can determine the mixing. Concretely, our calculations determine the fractions of $q\bar q$, $s\bar s$ and glueball in the physical states $f_0(1370)$, $f_0(1500)$ and $f_0(1710)$, the results are consistent with that gained by the phenomenological research.

Neutrino decay as a possible interpretation to the MiniBooNE observation with unparticle scenario

In a new measurement on neutrino oscillation $ν_μ\toν_e$, the MiniBooNE Collaboration observes an excess of electron-like events at low energy and the phenomenon may demand an explanation which obviously is beyond the oscillation picuture. We propose that heavier neutrino $ν_2$ decaying into a lighter one $ν_1$ via the transition process $ν_μ\to ν_e+X$ where $X$ denotes any light products, could be a natural mechanism. The theoretical model we employ here is the unparticle scenario established by Georgi. We have studied two particular modes $ν_μ\to ν_e+\Un$ and $ν_μ\to ν_e+\barν_e+ν_e$. Unfortunately, the number coming out from the computation is too small to explain the observation. Moreover, our results are consistent with the cosmology constraint on the neutrino lifetime and the theoretical estimation made by other groups, therefore we can conclude that even though neutrino decay seems plausible in this case, it indeed cannot be the source of the peak at lower energy observed by the MiniBooNE collaboration and there should be other mechanisms responsible for the phenomenon.

Opposite spin accumulations on the transverse edges by the confining potential

We show that the spin-orbit interaction induced by the boundary confining potential causes opposite spin accumulations on the transverse edges in a zonal two-dimensional electron gas in the presence of external longitudinal electric field. While the bias is reversed, the spin polarized direction is also reversed. The intensity of the spin accumulation is proportional to the bias voltage. In contrast to the bulk extrinsic and intrinsic spin Hall effects, the spin accumulation by the confining potential is almost unaffected by impurity and survives even in strong disorder. The result provides a new mechanism to explain the recent experimental data.
