A consistent description of the kinetic processes of electrolyte ion transport in a dynamic porous medium

The consistent description of kinetic and hydrodynamic processes is applied to the study of ion transport processes in the ionic solution-porous medium system. A system of equations is obtained for the nonequilibrium single-ion distribution function, the nonequilibrium average value of the energy density of the interaction of solution ions, and the nonequilibrium average value of the number density of particles in a porous medium. Using the fractional calculus technique, a generalized diffusion equation of the Cattaneo type in fractional derivatives is obtained to describe the processes of subdiffusion of particles in a porous medium.

Description processes of the interaction of water and aqueous solutions with fuel-containinig materials in the New Safe Confinement of the "Shelter'' object

The main mechanisms and conditions of interaction of lava-like fuel-containing materials (LFCM) with the atmosphere, water and aqueous solutions are presented. The mechanisms of destruction of the LFCM surface, including ion-exchange processes, hydrolysis, dissolution, oxidation, etc., were analyzed. Inhomogeneous diffusion coefficients for UO$_{2}^{2+}$, Cs$^{+}$ ions at the interface "aqueous solution of radioactive elements - LFCM" were calculated. The interdiffusion processes and the rate of penetration into the porous medium of the reaction front of the internal hydrolysis of the silicon-oxygen network during interaction with an aqueous solution were analyzed, where the reaction and adsorption processes are hidden in the rate of internal hydrolysis.

Generalized diffusion equation with nonlocality of space-time. Memory function modelling

We presented a general approach for obtaining the generalized transport equations with fractional derivatives by using the Liouville equation with fractional derivatives for a system of classical particles and Zubarev's nonequilibrium statistical operator (NSO) method within Gibbs statistics. The new non-Markovian diffusion equations of ions in spatially heterogeneous environment with fractal structure and generalized Cattaneo-Maxwell diffusion equation with taking into account the space-time nonlocality are obtained. Dispersion relations are found for the Cattaneo-Maxwell diffusion equation with taking into account the space-time nonlocality in fractional derivatives. The frequency spectrum, phase and group velocities are calculated. It is shown that it has a wave behaviour with discontinuities, which are also manifested in the behaviour of the phase velocity.

BBGKY chain of kinetic equations, non-equilibrium statistical operator method and collective variable method in the statistical theory of non-equilibrium liquids

A chain of kinetic equations for non-equilibrium one-particle, two-particle and $ s $-particle distribution functions of particles which take into account nonlinear hydrodynamic fluctuations is proposed. The method of Zubarev non-equilibrium statistical operator with projection is used. Nonlinear hydrodynamic fluctuations are described with non-equilibrium distribution function of collective variables that satisfies generalized Fokker-Planck equation. On the basis of the method of collective variables, a scheme of calculation of non-equilibrium structural distribution function of collective variables and their hydrodynamic speeds (above Gaussian approximation) contained in the generalized Fokker-Planck equation for the non-equilibrium distribution function of collective variables is proposed. Contributions of short- and long-range interactions between particles are separated, so that the short-range interactions (for example, the model of hard spheres) are described in the coordinate space, while the long-range interactions --- in the space of collective variables. Short-ranged component is regarded as basic, and corresponds to the BBGKY chain of equations for the model of hard spheres.

Nonequilibrium transport equations and ab initio study of adsorption processes on carbon nanotubes

In a theoretical study of gas adsorption on carbon nanotubes (CNT) nonequilibrium processes of ionization, polarization, surface diffusion and desorption of atoms are considered self-consistently. The approach is based on Zubarev's method of nonequilibrium statistical operator and reaction-diffusion theory. The set of nonlinear transport equations are obtained for the chosen parameters of description: the average numbers of adsorbed atoms, ionized and polarized atoms in the electromagnetic field of CNT, and the average number of atoms desorbed from the CNT surface. Ab initio simulations are conducted for a "gas-single wall carbon nanotube" system for gases of particular practical interest: He and NO. The obtained values of adsorption energy reveal preferable localization sites of absorbed He atoms as well as their dependency on adsorption distances. A significant effect of NO adsorption on CNT electronic properties is demonstrated. The effect of presence of vacancies on adsorption nature is analyzed. It is shown that under the influence of vacancy formation the CNT structure undergoes reconstruction that enables chemisorption of NO molecules.

Quantum transport equations for Bose systems taking into account nonlinear hydrodynamic processes

Using the method of nonequilibrium statistical operator by Zubarev, an approach is proposed for the description of kinetics which takes into account the nonlinear hydrodynamic fluctuations for a quantum Bose system. Non-equilibrium statistical operator is presented which consistently describes both the kinetic and nonlinear hydrodynamic processes. Both a kinetic equation for the nonequilibrium one-particle distribution function and a generalized Fokker-Planck equation for nonequilibrium distribution function of hydrodynamic variables (densities of momentum, energy and particle number) are obtained. A structure function of hydrodynamic fluctuations in cumulant representation is calculated, which makes it possible to analyse the generalized Fokker-Planck equation in Gaussian and higher approximations of the dynamic correlations of hydrodynamic variables which is important in describing the quantum turbulent processes.

On the problem of a consistent description of kinetic and hydrodynamic processes in dense gases and liquids: Collective excitations spectrum

Based on the generalized non-Markovian equations obtained earlier for a nonequilibrium one-particle distribution function and potential part of the averaged enthalpy density [Markiv B.B., Omelyan I.P, Tokarchuk M.V., Condens. Matter Phys., 2010, 13, 23005] a spectrum of collective excitations is investigated, where the potential of interaction between particles is presented as a sum of the potential of hard spheres and a certain long-range potential.

Viscoelastic description of electron subsystem of a semi-bounded metal within generalized "jellium" model

Viscoelastic description of the electron subsystem of a semi-bounded metal on the basis of the generalized "jellium" model using the method of nonequilibrium statistical Zubarev operator is proposed. The nonequilibrium statistical operator and the quasi-equilibrium partition function calculated by means of the functional integration method are obtained. Transport equations for nonequilibrium mean values of electron density and momentum are received in the Gaussian approximation and in the following higher approximation that corresponds to the third-order cumulant averages in calculation of the quasi-equilibrium partition function.

Modified kinetic theory of Bose systems taking into account slow hydrodynamical processes

An approach to the description of kinetics which taking into account the large-scale hydrodynamic transport processes for quantum Bose system is proposed. The nonequilibrium statistical operator which consistently describes both the kinetic and nonlinear hydrodynamic fluctuations in quantum liquid is calculated. Using this operator the coupled equations for quantum one-particle distribution function and functional of hydrodynamic variables: densities of momentum, energies and number of particles are obtained.

Statistical description of electrodiffusion processes in the electron subsystem of a semibounded metal within the generalized jellium model

Based on the calculation of the quasiequilibrium statistical sum by means of the functional integration method, we obtained a nonequilibrium statistical operator for the electron subsystem of a semibounded metal in the framework of the generalized jellium model in the Gaussian and higher approximations with respect to the dynamic electron correlations. This approach allows one to go beyond the linear approximation with respect to the gradient of the electrochemical potential corresponding to weakly nonequilibrium processes and to obtain generalized transport equations that describe nonlinear processes.

Enskog-Landau kinetic equation for multicomponent mixture. Analytical calculation of transport coefficients

The Enskog-Landau kinetic equation is considered to describe non-equilibrium processes of a mixture of charged hard spheres. This equation has been obtained in our previous papers by means of the non-equilibrium statistical operator method. The normal solution of this kinetic equation found in the first approximation using the standard Chapman-Enskog method is given. On the basis of the found solution the flows and transport coefficients have been calculated. All transport coefficients for multicomponent mixture of spherical Coulomb particles are presented analytically for the first time. Numerical calculations of thermal conductivity and thermal diffusion coefficient are performed for some specific mixtures of noble gases of high density. We compare the calculations with those ones for point-like neutral and charged particles.

Kinetic equation for liquids with a multistep potential of interaction. II: Calculation of transport coefficients

We consider a new kinetic equation for systems with a multistep potential of interaction proposed by us recently in Physica A 234 (1996) 89. This potential consists of the hard sphere part and a system of attractive and repulsive walls. Such a model is a generalization of many previous semi-phenomenological kinetic theories of dense gases and liquids. In this article a normal solution to the new kinetic equation has been obtained, integral conservation laws in the first order on gradients of hydrodynamic parameters have been derived as well. The expressions for transport coefficients are calculated for the case of stationary process. We also consider limiting cases for this kinetic equation. For specific parameters of model interaction potential in shape of the multistep function, the obtained results rearrange to those of previous kinetic theories by means of the standard Chapman-Enskog method. In view of this, new theory can be considered as a generalized one which in some specific cases arrives at the results of previous ones and in such a way displays the connection of these theories between themselves. At the end of this article we present results of numerical computation of transport coefficients for Argon along curve of saturation and their comparison with experimental data available and MD simulations.

Transport equations of a consistent description of the kinetics and hydrodynamics of dense quantum systems. I: General approach within the frame of nonequilibrium thermo field dynamics

We present basic equations of nonequilibrium thermo field dynamics of dense quantum systems. A formulation of nonequilibrium thermo field dynamics has been performed using the nonequilibrium statistical operator method by D.N.Zubarev. Generalized transfer and hydrodynamic equations of a consistent description of kinetics and hydrodynamics have been obtained in thermo field representation. To demonstrate how obtained results do work at the description of kinetics and hydrodynamics of a dense nuclear matter we consider quantum system with strongly coupled states.

A consistent description of kinetics and hydrodynamics of systems of interacting particles by means of the nonequilibrium statistical operator method

A statistical approach to a self-consistent description of kinetic and hydrodynamic processes in systems of interacting particles is formulated on the basis of the nonequilibrium statistical operator method by D.N.Zubarev. It is shown how to obtain the kinetic equation of the revised Enskog theory for a hard sphere model, the kinetic equations for multistep potentials of interaction and the Enskog-Landau kinetic equation for a system of charged hard spheres. The BBGKY hierarchy is analyzed on the basis of modified group expansions. Generalized transport equations are obtained in view of a self-consistent description of kinetics and hydrodynamics. Time correlation functions, spectra of collective excitations and generalized transport coefficients are investigated in the case of weakly nonequilibrium systems of interacting particles.

Thermo field hydrodynamic and kinetic equations of dense quantum nuclear systems

Basic equations of nonequilibrium thermo field dynamics of dense quantum systems are presented. A formulation of nonequilibrium thermo field dynamics has been performed using the nonequilibrium statistical operator method by D.N.Zubarev. Hydrodynamic equations have been obtained in thermo field representation. Two levels of the description of kinetics and hydrodynamics of a dense nuclear matter are considered. The first one is a quantum system with strongly coupled states, the second one is a quark-gluon plasma. Generalized transfer equations of a consistent description of kinetics and hydrodynamics have been obtained, as well as limiting cases are considered.

Normal solution and transport coefficients to the Enskog-Landau kinetic equation for a two-component system of charged hard spheres. The Chapman-Enskog method

An Enskog-Landau kinetic equation for a many-component system of charged hard spheres is proposed. It has been obtained from the Liouville equation with modified boundary conditions by the method of nonequilibrium statistical operator. On the basis of this equation the normal solutions and transport coefficients such as bulk kappa and shear eta viscosities, thermal conductivity lambda, mutual diffusion D^{αβ} and thermal diffusion D_T^αhave been obtained for a binary mixture in the first approximation using the Chapman-Enskog method. Numerical calculations of all transport coefficients for mixtures Ar-Kr, Ar-Xe, Kr-Xe with different concentrations of compounds have been evaluated for the cases of absence and presence of long-range Coulomb interactions. The results are compared with those obtained from other theories and experiment.
