Short Distance Modification of a Gravitational System and its Optical Analog

Motivated by developments in string theory, such as T-duality, it has been proposed that the geometry of spacetime should have an intrinsic minimal length associated with it. This would modify the short distance behavior of quantum systems studied on such a geometry, and an optical analog for such a short distance modification of quantum system has also been realized by using non-paraxial nonlinear optics. As general relativity can be viewed as an effective field theory obtained from string, it is expected that this would also modify the short distance behavior of general relativity. Now the Newtonian approximation is a valid short distance approximation to general relativity, and Schrodinger-Newton equation can be obtained as a non-relativistic semi-classical limit of such a theory, we will analyze the short distance modification of Schrodinger-Newton equation from an intrinsic minimal length in the geometry of spacetime. As an optical analog of the Schrodinger-Newton equation has been constructed, it is possible to optically realize this system. So, this system is important, and we will numerical analyze the solutions for this system. It will be observed that the usual Runge-Kutta method cannot be used to analyze this system. However, we will use a propose and use a new numerical method, which we will call as the two step Runge-Kutta method, for analyzing this system.

Black Holes Thermodynamics in a new kind of Noncommutative Geometry

Motivated by the energy dependent metric in gravity's rainbow, we will propose a new kind of energy dependent noncommutative geometry. It will be demonstrated that like gravity's rainbow, this new noncommutative geometry is described by an energy dependent metric. We will analyse the effect of this noncommutative deformation on the Schwarzschild black holes and Kerr black holes. We will perform our analysis by relating the commutative and this new energy dependent noncommutative metrics using an energy dependent Moyal star product. We will also analyze the thermodynamics of these new noncommutative black hole solutions. We will explicitly derive expression for the corrected entropy and temperature for these black hole solutions. It will be demonstrated that for these deformed solutions black remnants cannot form. This is because these correction increase rather than reduce the temperature of the black holes.

A new bound on polymer quantization via an opto-mechanical setup

The existence of a minimal measurable length as a characteristic length in the Planck scale is one of the main features of quantum gravity and has been widely explored in the context. Various different deformations of spacetime have been employed successfully for the purpose. However, polymer quantization approach is a relatively new and dynamic field towards the quantum gravity phenomenology, which emerges from the symmetric sector of the loop quantum gravity. In this article, we extend the standard ideas of polymer quantization to find a new and tighter bound on the polymer deformation parameter. Our protocol relies on an opto-mechanical experimental setup that was originally proposed in Ref.\cite{ref:Igor} to explore some interesting phenomena by embedding the minimal length into the standard canonical commutation relation. We extend this scheme to probe the \emph{polymer length} deformed canonical commutation relation of the center of mass mode of a mechanical oscillator with a mass around the Planck scale. The method utilizes the novelty of exchanging the relevant mechanical information with a high intensity optical pulse inside an optical cavity. We also demonstrate that our proposal is within the reach of the current technologies and, thus, it could uncover a decent realization of quantum gravitational phenomena thorough a simple table-top experiment.

Large Distance Modification of Newtonian Potential and Structure Formation in Universe

In this paper, we study the effects of super-light brane world perturbative modes on structure formation in our universe. As these modes modify the large distance behavior of Newtonian potential, they effect the clustering of a system of galaxies. So, we explicitly calculate the clustering of galaxies interacting through such a modified Newtonian potential. We use a suitable approximation for analyzing this system of galaxies, and discuss the validity of such approximations. We observe that such corrections also modify the virial theorem for such a system of galaxies.

Holographic Cavalieri Principle as a Universal relation between Holographic Complexity and Holographic Entanglement Entropy

In this paper, we will propose a universal relation between the holographic complexity (dual to a volume in AdS) and the holographic entanglement entropy (dual to an area in AdS). We will explicitly demonstrate that our conjuncture hold for all a metric asymptotic to AdS$_3$, and then argue that such a relation should hold in general due to the AdS version of the Cavalieri principle. We will demonstrate that it holds for Janus solution, which have been recently been obtained in type IIB string theory. We will also show that this conjecture holds for a circular disk. This conjecture will be used to show that the proposal that the complexity equals action, and the proposal that the complexity equal volume can represent the same physics. Thus, using this conjecture, we will show that the black holes are fastest computers, using the proposal that complexity equals volume.

Topological Defects in a Deformed Gauge Theory

In this paper, we will analyse the topological defects in a deformation of a non-abelian gauge theory using the Polyakov variables. The gauge theory will be deformed by the existence of a minimum measurable length scale in the background spacetime. We will construct the Polyakov loops for this deformed non-abelian gauge theory, and use these deformed loop space variables for obtaining a deformed loop space curvature. It will be demonstrated that this curvature will vanish if the deformed Bianchi identities are satisfied. However, it is possible that the original Bianchi identities are satisfied, but the deformed Bianchi identities are violated at the leading order in the deformation parameter, due to some topological defects. Thus, topological defects could be produced purely from a deformation of the background geometry.

Clustering of Galaxies with f(R) gravity

Based on thermodynamics, we discuss the galactic clustering of expanding Universe by assuming the gravitational interaction through the modified Newton's potential given by $f(R)$ gravity. We compute the corrected $N$-particle partition function analytically. The corrected partition function leads to more exact equations of states of the system. By assuming that system follows quasi-equilibrium, we derive the exact distribution function which exhibits the $f(R)$ correction. Moreover, we evaluate the critical temperature and discuss the stability of the system. We observe the effects of correction of $f(R)$ gravity on the power law behavior of particle-particle correlation function also. In order to check feasibility of an $f(R)$ gravity approach to the clustering of galaxies, we compare our results with an observational galaxy cluster catalog.

Hawking Radiation Power Equations for Black Holes

We derive the Hawking radiation power equations for black holes in asymptotically flat, asymptotically Anti-de Sitter (AdS) and asymptotically de Sitter (dS) black holes, This is done by using the greybody factor for these black holes. We observe that the radiation power equation for asymptotically flat black holes, corresponding to greybody factor at low frequency, depends on both the Hawking temperature and the horizon radius. However, for the greybody factors at asymptotic frequency, it only depends on the Hawking temperature. We also obtain the power equation for asymptotically AdS black holes both below and above the critical frequency. The radiation power equation for at asymptotic frequency is same for both Schwarzschild AdS and Reissner-Nordström AdS solutions and only depends on the Hawking temperature. We also discuss the power equation for asymptotically dS black holes at low frequency, for both even or odd dimensions.

Probing noncommutative theories with quantum optical experiments

One of the major difficulties of modern science underlies at the unification of general relativity and quantum mechanics. Different approaches towards such theory have been proposed. Noncommutative theories serve as the root of almost all such approaches. However, the identification of the appropriate passage to quantum gravity is suffering from the inadequacy of experimental techniques. It is beyond our ability to test the effects of quantum gravity thorough the available scattering experiments, as it is unattainable to probe such high energy scale at which the effects of quantum gravity appear. Here we propose an elegant alternative scheme to test such theories by detecting the deformations emerging from the noncommutative structures. Our protocol relies on the novelty of an opto-mechanical experimental setup where the information of the noncommutative oscillator is exchanged via the interaction with an optical pulse inside an optical cavity. We also demonstrate that our proposal is within the reach of current technology and, thus, it could uncover a feasible route towards the realization of quantum gravitational phenomena thorough a simple table-top experiment.

Non-Local Deformation of a Supersymmetric Field Theory

In this paper, we will analyse a supersymmetric field theory deformed by generalized uncertainty principle and Lifshitz scaling. It will be observed that this deformed supersymmetric field theory contains non-local fractional derivative terms. In order to construct such deformed N=1 supersymmetric theory, a harmonic extension of functions will be used. However, the supersymmetry will be only preserved for a free theory and will be broken by the inclusion of interaction terms.

Vaidya Spacetime in Massive Gravity's Rainbow

In this paper, we will analyze the energy dependent deformation of massive gravity using the formalism of massive gravity's rainbow. So, we will use the Vainshtein mechanism and the dRGT mechanism for the energy dependent massive gravity, and thus analyze a ghost free theory of massive gravity's rainbow. We study the energy dependence of a time-dependent geometry, by analyzing the radiating Vaidya solution in this theory of massive gravity's rainbow. The energy dependent deformation of this Vaidya metric will be performed using suitable rainbow functions.

Inflationary universe in the presence of a minimal measurable length

In this paper, we will study the effect of having a minimum measurable length on inflationary cosmology. We will analyze the inflationary cosmology in the Jacobson approach. In this approach, gravity is viewed as an emergent thermodynamical phenomenon. We will demonstrate that the existence of a minimum measurable length will modify the Friedmann equations in the Jacobson approach. We will use this modified Friedmann equation to analyze the effect of minimum measurable length scale on inflationary cosmology. This analysis will be performed using the Hamiltonian-Jacobi approach. We compare our results to recent data and find that our model may agree with the recent data.

Quantum Fluctuations of a BTZ Black Hole in Massive Gravity

In this work, we shall analyze the effects of quantum fluctuations on the properties of a BTZ black hole, in a massive theory of gravity. We will analyze this for a charged BTZ black hole in asymptotically AdS and dS space-times. The quantum fluctuations would produce thermal fluctuations in the thermodynamics of this BTZ black hole. As these fluctuations would become relevant at a sufficiently small scale, we shall discuss the effects of such thermal fluctuations on the entropy of a small charged BTZ black. We shall also analyze the effects of these fluctuations on the stability of such a black hole.

Nonlocal Teleparallel Cosmology

Even though it is not possible to differentiate General Relativity from Teleparallel Gravity using classical experiments, it could be possible to discriminate between them by quantum gravitational effects. These effects have motivated the introduction of nonlocal deformations of General Relativity, and similar effects are also expected to occur in Teleparallel Gravity. Here, we study nonlocal deformations of Teleparallel Gravity along with its cosmological solutions. We observe that Nonlocal Teleparallel Gravity (like nonlocal General Relativity) is consistent with the present cosmological data obtained by SNe Ia + BAO + CC + $H_0$ observations. Along this track, future experiments probing nonlocal effects could be used to test whether General Relativity or Teleparallel Gravity give the most consistent picture of gravitational interaction.

Boundary Effects in Super-Yang-Mills Theory

In this paper, we shall analyse a three dimensional supersymmetry theory with $\mathcal{N} = 2$. The effective Lagrangian will be given by the sum of the gauge fixing term and the ghost term with the original classical Lagrangian. In presence of a boundary the supersymmetry of this Lagrangian will be broken. However, it will be possible to preserve half the supersymmetry even in presence of a boundary. This will be done by adding a boundary Lagrangian to the effective bulk Lagrangian. The supersymmetric transformation of this new boundary Lagrangian will exactly cancel the boundary term generated from the supersymmetric transformation of the effective bulk Lagrangian. We will obtain the Slavnov-Taylor Identity for this theory.

Thermal Fluctuations in a Hyperscaling Violation Background

In this paper, we study the effect of thermal fluctuations on the thermodynamics of a black geometry with hyperscaling violation. These thermal fluctuations in the thermodynamics of this system are produced from quantum corrections of geometry describing this system. We discuss the stability of this system using specific heat and the entire Hessian matrix of the free energy. We will analyze the effects of thermal fluctuations on the stability of this system. We also analyze the effects of thermal fluctuations on the criticality of the Hyperscaling violation background.

Virtual Black Holes in a Third Quantized Formalism

In this paper, we will analyse virtual black holes using the third quantization formalism. As the virtual black hole model depends critically on the assumption that the quantum fluctuations dominate the geometry of spacetime at Planck scale, we will analyse the quantum fluctuations for a black hole using third quantization. We will demonstrate that these quantum fluctuations depend on the factor ordering chosen. So, we will show that only certain values of the factor ordering parameter are consistent with virtual black holes model of spacetime foam.

A Holographic Bound for D3-Brane

In this paper, we will regularize the holographic entanglement entropy, holographic complexity and fidelity susceptibility for a configuration of D3-branes. We will also study the regularization of the holographic complexity from action for a configuration of D3-branes. It will be demonstrated that for a spherical shell of D3-branes the regularized holographic complexity is always greater than or equal to than the regularized fidelity susceptibility. Furthermore, we will also demonstrate that the regularized holographic complexity is related to the regularized holographic entanglement entropy for this system. Thus, we will obtain a holographic bound involving regularized holographic complexity, regularized holographic entanglement entropy and regularized fidelity susceptibility of a configuration of D3-brane. We will also discuss a bound for regularized holographic complexity from action, for a D3-brane configuration.
