Transposed Poisson structures on Witt type algebras

We describe $\frac{1}{2}$-derivations, and hence transposed Poisson algebra structures, on Witt type Lie algebras $V(f)$, where $f:Γ\to\mathbb C$ is non-trivial and $f(0)=0$. More precisely, if $|f(Γ)|\ge 4$, then all the transposed Poisson algebra structures on $V(f)$ are mutations of the group algebra structure $(V(f),\cdot)$ on $V(f)$. If $|f(Γ)|=3$, then we obtain the direct sum of $3$ subspaces of $V(f)$, corresponding to cosets of $Γ_0$ in $Γ$, with multiplications being different mutations of $\cdot$. The case $|f(Γ)|=2$ is more complicated, but also deals with certain mutations of $\cdot$. As a consequence, new Lie algebras that admit non-trivial ${\rm Hom}$-Lie algebra structures are found.

Linear maps preserving products equal to primitive idempotents of an incidence algebra

Let $A$, $B$ be algebras and $a\in A$, $b\in B$ a fixed pair of elements. We say that a map $φ:A\to B$ preserves products equal to $a$ and $b$ if for all $a_1,a_2\in A$ the equality $a_1a_2=a$ implies $φ(a_1)φ(a_2)=b$. In this paper we study bijective linear maps $φ:I(X,F)\to I(X,F)$ preserving products equal to primitive idempotents of $I(X,F)$, where $I(X,F)$ is the incidence algebra of a finite connected poset $X$ over a field $F$. We fully characterize the situation, when such a map $φ$ exists, and whenever it does, $φ$ is either an automorphism of $I(X,F)$ or the negative of an automorphism of $I(X,F)$.

Transposed Poisson structures on Block Lie algebras and superalgebras

We describe transposed Poisson algebra structures on Block Lie algebras $\mathcal B(q)$ and Block Lie superalgebras $\mathcal S(q)$, where $q$ is an arbitrary complex number. Specifically, we show that the transposed Poisson structures on $\mathcal B(q)$ are trivial whenever $q\not\in\mathbb Z$, and for each $q\in\mathbb Z$ there is only one (up to an isomorphism) non-trivial transposed Poisson structure on $\mathcal B(q)$. The superalgebra $\mathcal S(q)$ admits only trivial transposed Poisson superalgebra structures for $q\ne 0$ and two non-isomorphic non-trivial transposed Poisson superalgebra structures for $q=0$. As a consequence, new Lie algebras and superalgebras that admit non-trivial ${\rm Hom}$-Lie algebra structures are found.

Commutativity preservers of incidence algebras

Let $I(X,K)$ be the incidence algebra of a finite connected poset $X$ over a field $K$ and $D(X,K)$ its subalgebra consisting of diagonal elements. We describe the bijective linear maps $φ:I(X,K)\to I(X,K)$ that strongly preserve the commutativity and satisfy $φ(D(X,K))=D(X,K)$. We prove that such a map $φ$ is a composition of a commutativity preserver of shift type and a commutativity preserver associated to a quadruple $(θ,σ,c,κ)$ of simpler maps $θ$, $σ$, $c$ and a sequence $κ$ of elements of $K$.

Potent preservers of incidence algebras

Let $X$ be a finite connected poset, $F$ a field and $I(X,F)$ the incidence algebra of $X$ over $F$. We describe the bijective linear idempotent preservers $φ:I(X,F)\to I(X,F)$. Namely, we prove that, whenever $\mathrm{char}(F)\ne 2$, $φ$ is either an automorphism or an anti-automorphism of $I(X,F)$. If $\mathrm{char}(F)=2$ and $|F|>2$, then $φ$ is a (in general, non-proper) Lie automorphism of $I(X,F)$. Finally, if $F=\mathbb{Z}_2$, then $φ$ is the composition of a bijective shift map and a Lie automorphism of $I(X,F)$. Under certain restrictions on the characteristic of $F$ we also obtain descriptions of the bijective linear maps which preserve tripotents and, more generally, $k$-potents of $I(X,F)$ for $k\ge 3$.

Inverse semigroup cohomology and crossed module extensions of semilattices of groups by inverse semigroups

We define and study the notion of a crossed module over an inverse semigroup and the corresponding $4$-term exact sequences, called crossed module extensions. For a crossed module $A$ over an $F$-inverse monoid $T$, we show that equivalence classes of admissible crossed module extensions of $A$ by $T$ are in a one-to-one correspondence with the elements of the cohomology group $H^3_\le(T^1,A^1)$.

Isomorphisms and derivations of partial flag incidence algebras

Let $P$ and $Q$ be finite posets and $R$ a commutative unital ring. In the case where $R$ is indecomposable, we prove that the $R$-linear isomorphisms between partial flag incidence algebras $I^3(P,R)$ and $I^3(Q,R)$ are exactly those induced by poset isomorphisms between $P$ and $Q$. We also show that the $R$-linear derivations of $I^3(P,R)$ are trivial.

Proper Lie automorphisms of incidence algebras

Let $X$ be a finite connected poset and $K$ a field. We study the question, when all Lie automorphisms of the incidence algebra $I(X,K)$ are proper. Without any restriction on the length of $X$ we find only a sufficient condition involving certain equivalence relation on the set of maximal chains of $X$. For some classes of posets of length one, such as finite connected crownless posets (i.e., without weak crown subposets), crowns and ordinal sums of two antichains we give a complete answer.

Lie automorphisms of incidence algebras

Let $X$ be a finite connected poset and $K$ a field. We give a full description of the Lie automorphisms of the incidence algebra $I(X,K)$. In particular, we show that they are in general not proper.

The geometric classification of nilpotent algebras

We give a geometric classification of $n$-dimensional nilpotent, commutative nilpotent and anticommutative nilpotent algebras. We prove that the corresponding geometric varieties are irreducible, find their dimensions and describe explicit generic families of algebras which define each of these varieties. We show some applications of these results in the study of the length of anticommutative algebras.

The algebraic classification of nilpotent algebras

We give the complete algebraic classification of all complex 4-dimensional nilpotent algebras. The final list has 234 (parametric families of) isomorphism classes of algebras, 66 of which are new in the literature.

Partial actions and proper extensions of two-sided restriction semigroups

We prove a structure result on proper extensions of two-sided restriction semigroups in terms of partial actions, generalizing respective results for monoids and for inverse semigroups and upgrading the latter. We introduce and study several classes of partial actions of two-sided restriction semigroups that generalize partial actions of monoids and of inverse semigroups. We establish an adjunction between the category ${\mathcal{P}}(S)$ of proper extensions of a restriction semigroup (or, in particular, an inverse semigroup) $S$ and a category ${\mathcal{A}}(S)$ of partial actions of $S$ subject to certain conditions going back to the work of O'Carroll. In the category ${\mathcal{A}}(S)$, we specify two isomorphic subcategories, one being reflective and the other one coreflective, each of which is equivalent to the category ${\mathcal{P}}(S)$.

Globalization of partial cohomology of groups

We study the relations between partial and global group cohomology with values in a commutative unital ring $\mathcal{A}$. In particular, for a unital partial action of a group $G$ on $\mathcal{A}$, such that $\mathcal{A}$ is a direct product of commutative indecomposable rings, we show that any partial $n$-cocycle of $G$ with values in $\mathcal{A}$ is globalizable.

The geometric classification of nilpotent $\mathfrak{CD}$-algebras

We give a geometric classification of complex $4$-dimensional nilpotent $\mathfrak{CD}$-algebras. The corresponding geometric variety has dimension 18 and decomposes into $2$ irreducible components determined by the Zariski closures of a two-parameter family of algebras and a four-parameter family of algebras (see Theorem 2). In particular, there are no rigid $4$-dimensional complex nilpotent $\mathfrak{CD}$-algebras.

The algebraic and geometric classification of nilpotent anticommutative algebras

We give algebraic and geometric classifications of $6$-dimensional complex nilpotent anticommutative algebras. Specifically, we find that, up to isomorphism, there are $14$ one-parameter families of $6$-dimensional nilpotent anticommutative algebras, complemented by $130$ additional isomorphism classes. The corresponding geometric variety is irreducible and determined by the Zariski closure of a one-parameter family of algebras. In particular, there are no rigid $6$-dimensional complex nilpotent anticommutative algebras.
