On vanishing theorems for analytic spaces

This is a short report on our new vanishing theorems for projective morphisms between complex analytic spaces. We established a complex analytic generalization of Kollár's torsion-freeness and vanishing theorem for analytic simple normal crossing pairs. Although our results may look artificial, they have already played a crucial role for the study of minimal models in the complex analytic setting.

Vanishing theorems for projective morphisms between complex analytic spaces

We discuss vanishing theorems for projective morphisms between complex analytics spaces and some related results. They will play a crucial role in the minimal model theory for projective morphisms of complex analytic spaces. Roughly speaking, we establish an ultimate generalization of Kollár's package from the minimal model theoretic viewpoint.

On mixed-$ω$-sheaves

We introduce the notion of mixed-$ω$-sheaves and use it for the study of a relative version of Fujita's freeness conjecture. It is related to the Iitaka conjecture. We note that the notion of mixed-$ω$-sheaves is a generalization of that of Nakayama's $ω$-sheaves in some sense. One of the main motivations of this paper is to make Nakayama's theory of $ω$-sheaves more accessible and make it applicable to the study of log canonical pairs.

Cone and contraction theorem for projective morphisms between complex analytic spaces

We discuss the cone and contraction theorem in a suitable complex analytic setting. More precisely, we establish the cone and contraction theorem of normal pairs for projective morphisms between complex analytic spaces. This result is a starting point of the minimal model program for complex analytic log canonical pairs. In this paper, we are mainly interested in normal pairs whose singularities are worse than kawamata log terminal singularities.

Cone theorem and Mori hyperbolicity

We discuss the cone theorem for quasi-log schemes and the Mori hyperbolicity. In particular, we establish that the log canonical divisor of a Mori hyperbolic projective normal pair is nef if it is nef when restricted to the non-lc locus. This answers Svaldi's question completely. We also treat the uniruledness of the degenerate locus of an extremal contraction morphism for quasi-log schemes. Furthermore, we prove that every fiber of a relative quasi-log Fano scheme is rationally chain connected modulo the non-qlc locus.

Existence of log canonical modifications and its applications

The main purpose of this paper is to establish some useful partial resolutions of singularities for pairs from the minimal model theoretic viewpoint. We first establish the existence of log canonical modifications of normal pairs under some suitable assumptions. It recovers Kawakita's inversion of adjunction on log canonicity in full generality. We also discuss the existence of semi-log canonical modifications for demi-normal pairs and construct dlt blow-ups with several extra good properties. As applications, we study lengths of extremal rational curves and so on.

Injectivity theorem for pseudo-effective line bundles and its applications

We formulate and establish a generalization of Kollár's injectivity theorem for adjoint bundles twisted by suitable multiplier ideal sheaves. As applications, we generalize Kollár's torsion-freeness, Kollár's vanishing theorem, and a generic vanishing theorem for pseudo-effective line bundles. Our approach is not Hodge theoretic but analytic, which enables us to treat singular Hermitian metrics with nonalgebraic singularities. For the proof of the main injectivity theorem, we use $L^{2}$-harmonic forms on noncompact Kähler manifolds. For applications, we prove a Bertini-type theorem on the restriction of multiplier ideal sheaves to general members of free linear systems.

On quasi-log schemes

The notion of quasi-log schemes was first introduced by Florin Ambro in his epoch-making paper: Quasi-log varieties. In this paper, we establish the basepoint-free theorem of Reid--Fukuda type for quasi-log schemes in full generality. Roughly speaking, it means that all the results for quasi-log schemes claimed in Ambro's paper hold true. The proof is Kawamata's X-method with the aid of the theory of basic slc-trivial fibrations. For the reader's convenience, we make many comments on the theory of quasi-log schemes in order to make it more accessible.

On Nakayama's theorem

The main purpose of this paper is to make Nakayama's theorem more accessible. We give a proof of Nakayama's theorem based on the negative definiteness of intersection matrices of exceptional curves. In this paper, we treat Nakayama's theorem on algebraic varieties over any algebraically closed field of arbitrary characteristic although Nakayama's original statement is formulated for complex analytic spaces.

On inversion of adjunction

We first announce our recent result on adjunction and inversion of adjunction. Then we clarify the relationship between our inversion of adjunction and Hacon's inversion of adjunction for log canonical centers of arbitrary codimension.

Nakai--Moishezon ampleness criterion for real line bundles

We show that the Nakai--Moishezon ampleness criterion holds for real line bundles on complete schemes. As applications, we treat the relative Nakai--Moishezon ampleness criterion for real line bundles and the Nakai--Moishezon ampleness criterion for real line bundles on complete algebraic spaces. The main ingredient of this paper is Birkar's characterization of augmented base loci of real divisors on projective schemes.

Subadjunction for quasi-log canonical pairs and its applications

We establish a kind of subadjunction formula for quasi-log canonical pairs. As an application, we prove that a connected projective quasi-log canonical pair whose quasi-log canonical class is anti-ample is simply connected and rationally chain connected. We also supplement the cone theorem for quasi-log canonical pairs. More precisely, we prove that every negative extremal ray is spanned by a rational curve. Finally, we treat the notion of Mori hyperbolicity for quasi-log canonical pairs.
