We give a characterization of projective spaces for quasi-log canonical pairs from the Mori theoretic viewpoint.
We prove that if the moduli $\mathbb Q$-b-divisor of a basic slc-trivial fibration is b-numerically trivial then it is $\mathbb Q$-b-linearly trivial. As a consequence, we prove that the moduli part of a basic slc-trivial fibration is semi-ample when the base space is a curve.
We introduce the notion of basic slc-trivial fibrations. It is a generalization of that of Ambro's lc-trivial fibrations. Then we study fundamental properties of basic slc-trivial fibrations by using the theory of variations of mixed Hodge structure on cohomology with compact support. More precisely, we prove that the moduli part of a basic slc-trivial fibration is b-strongly nef. Note that the notion of basic slc-trivial fibrations is closely related to that of normal irreducible quasi-log canonical pairs. So the results obtained in this paper will play an important role in the theory of quasi-log schemes. Here we give a structure theorem for normal irreducible quasi-log canonical pairs as an application of the main theorem. This result makes the theory of quasi-log schemes more powerful and more flexible.
We establish the minimal model theory for $\mathbb Q$-factorial log surfaces and log canonical surfaces in Fujiki's class $\mathcal C$.
John Lesieutre constructed an example satisfying $κ_σ\ne κ_ν$. This says that the proof of the inequalities in Theorems 1.3, 1.9, and Remark 3.8 in [O. Fujino, On subadditivity of the logarithmic Kodaira dimension, J. Math. Soc. Japan 69 (2017), no. 4, 1565--1581] is insufficient. We claim that some weaker inequalities still hold true and they are sufficient for various applications.
We prove that every quasi-log canonical pair has only Du Bois singularities. Note that our arguments are free from the minimal model program.
The log canonical ring of a projective plt pair with the Kodaira dimension two is finitely generated.
We prove Fujita-type basepoint-freeness for projective quasi-log canonical curves and surfaces.
The normalization of a quasi-log canonical pair is a quasi-log canonical pair.
We show that a toric Fano contraction associated to an extremal ray whose length is greater than the dimension of its fiber is a projective space bundle.
We give new estimates of lengths of extremal rays of birational type for toric varieties. We can see that our new estimates are the best by constructing some examples explicitly. As applications, we discuss the nefness and pseudo-effectivity of adjoint bundles of projective toric varieties. We also treat some generalizations of Fujita's freeness and very ampleness for toric varieties.
We establish a relative Bertini type theorem for multiplier ideal sheaves. Then we prove a relative version of the Kollár--Nadel type vanishing theorem as an application.
We prove an effective vanishing theorem for direct images of log pluricanonical bundles of projective semi-log canonical pairs. As an application, we obtain a semipositivity theorem for direct images of relative log pluricanonical bundles of projective semi-log canonical pairs over curves, which implies the projectivity of the moduli spaces of stable varieties. It is worth mentioning that we do not use the theory of variation of (mixed) Hodge structure.
We prove some semipositivity theorems for singular varieties coming from graded polarizable admissible variations of mixed Hodge structure. As an application, we obtain that the moduli functor of stable varieties is semipositive in the sense of Kollár. This completes Kollár's projectivity criterion for the moduli spaces of higher-dimensional stable varieties.
We show that any union of slc strata of a Fano log pair with semi-log canonical singularities is simply connected. In particular, Fano log pairs with semi-log canonical singularities are simply connected, which confirms a conjecture of the first author.
We generalize the Fujita--Zucker--Kawamata semipositivity theorem from the analytic viewpoint.
This paper proposes a Fujita-type freeness conjecture for semi-log canonical pairs. We prove it for curves and surfaces by using the theory of quasi-log schemes and give some effective very ampleness results for stable surfaces and semi-log canonical Fano surfaces. We also prove an effective freeness for log surfaces.
We prove Kollár-type effective basepoint-free theorems for quasi-log canonical pairs.
