ROCKETS I: Investigating the Impact of the Rocket Effect on Two Nearby Young Open Clusters Encased in Infrared Bubbles

We introduce ROCKETS (Rocket-driven Cluster Kinematics & Triggered Star-formation), a Gaia based programme investigating kinematic fingerprints of stellar feedback or rocket effect in young star forming regions. We analyse two young clusters with O-type stars enclosed by mid-infrared bubbles, Collinder 69 and IC 1396 as a methodological demonstration on two nearby benchmark regions. Co-moving candidates are selected within an astrometric ellipse defined by the median and median absolute deviation of Class I/II YSOs with Gaia data. For each star, we compute a relative proper-motion angle (RPMA) relative to the ionising source. In both regions the RPMA distribution shows a strong excess at RPMA $<15^{\circ}$, corresponding to sources moving away from the respective ionising sources. We quantify this using the Rocket Effect Index (REI), finding $\mathrm{REI}\simeq 1.1$ for Collinder 69 and $\mathrm{REI}\simeq 1.7$ for IC 1396. When considering only Class I/II YSOs, the REI of both regions increases to $\mathrm{REI}\gtrsim 10$. Velocity-structure analysis of the sample shows that the RPMA $<15^\circ$ subset has stronger positive pairwise expansion than the full co-moving population, providing additional support for the rocket effect. The outward-moving stars are not uniformly distributed; instead, their position angles are strongly anisotropic and preferentially aligned towards the bright-rimmed clouds. Gaia colour-magnitude diagrams show no strong age offset between sources moving outward and literature cluster members. The observed kinematic signatures support feedback-driven acceleration of gas and triggered star formation preferentially towards higher density regions of expanding bubbles due to the rocket effect.

Transient and Variable Ultra-luminous X-ray Sources in NGC 4552

We searched for transient and variable X-ray sources in the elliptical galaxy NGC 4552 using the {\it Chandra} and {\it XMM-Newton} observations from 2001-2012. We detected 14 transient and variable X-ray sources within the 4$R_{e}$ region of the galaxy, which exhibited peak state and undetected flux behaviour in the {\it Chandra} observations. Among them, two sources (T1 and T14) exceed the X-ray luminosity $10^{39}\rm~erg~s^{-1}$ in the detected observations and have the peak state and undetected luminosity ratio of $\geq 14.3$ and $\geq 8.7$, respectively, which we classified as transient and variable ultra-luminous X-ray sources (ULXs). For the third relatively bright transient source, the flux varies by a factor of 3 across the detected observations, and the hardness ratio analysis suggests a normal X-ray binary system. The remaining sources have luminosities in the $10^{37}-10^{38} \rm~erg~s^{-1}$ range, and the spectral analysis indicates that the sources may belong to neutron star or black hole X-ray binary systems, either in the hard or thermal-dominated state. The identified transient and variable ULXs exhibited high variability and soft spectral characteristics, which are consistent with ULXs accreting at super-Eddington rates. The near-infrared (NIR) counterpart search using {\it JWST} observations identified potential NIR counterparts for three mildly variable sources, and their magnitudes in different NIR bands suggest a red supergiant companion for each source. Deep X-ray monitoring observations can shed further light on the new transient and variable ULXs.

Collective dynamics in a one-dimensional Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin chain

We investigate the different oscillatory modes, namely, complete synchronization, inphase synchronization, antiphase synchronization and desynchronization in a one-dimensional anisotropic Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin chain consisting of a large number of spins. By solving the associated Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert-Slonczewski equation for the spins we show the simultaneous existence of the above mentioned oscillatory modes in the spins. We observe that when the number of the spins is large the synchronization is lost between the spins; however, we identify that the field-like torque is able to induce synchronous oscillations of the spins in the chain again. We also confirm the agreement of the numerically obtained values of the frequency of the inphase synchronized oscillations with the analytically obtained values.

Self-oscillations induced by self-induced torque in magnetic double tunnel junction

Self-oscillations of the magnetization due to self-induced torque (SIT) in a magnetic double tunnel junction that consists of perpendicularly polarized, pinned and free layers is investigated along with the field-like torque (FLT). The associated Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert-Slonczewski equation is numerically analysed to exhibit the oscillations of magnetization driven by the current. From the numerical analysis, we show that the SIT is essential to generate oscillations in the order of GHz and without it the magnetization reaches steady state after exhibiting switching. Without FLT, the frequency of the oscillations decreases with the current while the power of oscillations increases. In the presence of the negative strength of the FLT the power spectral density confirms that the frequency, power and the Q-factor increase with the current. Also the tunability range and the rate at which the frequency enhances increase with the magnitude of the FLT.

Improving Accretion Diagnostics for Young Stellar Objects with Mid-infrared Hydrogen lines from JWST/MIRI

We present a comprehensive study of mid-infrared neutral hydrogen (H~\textsc{i}) emission lines in 79 nearby (d $<$ 200 $pc$) young stars using JWST/MIRI. We aim to identify mid-infrared H~\textsc{i} transitions that can serve as reliable accretion diagnostics in young stars, and evaluate their utility in deriving physical conditions of the accreting gas. We identify and measure 22 H~\textsc{i} transitions in the MIRI wavelength regime (5-28 $\mu m$) and perform LTE slab modelling to remove the H\textsubscript{2}O contribution from selected H~\textsc{i} transitions. We find that mid-IR H~\textsc{i} line emission is spatially compact, even for sources with spatially extended [Ne~\textsc{ii}] and [Fe~\textsc{ii}] jets, suggesting minimal contamination from extended jet. Although Pfund~$\alpha$ (H~\textsc{i}~6--5) and Humphreys~$\alpha$ (H~\textsc{i}~7--6) are the strongest lines, they are blended with H$_2$O transitions. This blending necessitates additional processing to remove molecular contamination, thereby limiting their use as accretion diagnostics. Instead, we identify the H~\textsc{i}~(8--6) at 7.502 $\mu m$ and H~\textsc{i}~(10--7) at 8.760 $\mu m$ transitions as better alternatives, as they are largely unaffected by molecular contamination and offer a more reliable means of measuring accretion rates from MIRI spectra. We provide updated empirical relations for converting mid-IR H~\textsc{i} line luminosities into accretion luminosity for 6 different H~\textsc{i} lines in the MIRI wavelength range. Moreover, comparison of observed line ratios with theoretical models shows that MIR H~\textsc{i} lines offer robust constraints on the hydrogen gas density in accretion columns, $n_\mathrm{H} = $10$^{10.6}$ to 10$^{11.2}$ cm$^{-3}$ in most stars, with some stars exhibiting lower densities ($<10^{10}$~cm$^{-3}$), approaching the optically thin regime.

Discovery of Fullerenes in the Shell of Candidate Luminous Blue Variable WRAY 16-232

We report the discovery of fullerene in the circumstellar environment of WRAY~16-232, a strong candidate luminous blue variable. Multiple pointings of archival \textit{Spitzer} IRS spectra reveal, for the first time, the presence of prominent vibrational bands of C$_{60}$ at 17.4 and 18.9~$\mu$m in an LBV envelope, along with the strong polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon features. These observations suggest that, despite the harsh radiative conditions, large carbonaceous molecules can form, process and survive in the ejecta of massive stars. Complementary optical spectroscopy with SALT HRS shows multiple P\,Cygni profiles in H$\alpha$, He\,\textsc{i}, and Fe\,\textsc{ii} lines, which are indicative of a dense, expanding wind and substantial mass loss. Furthermore, analysis of decade long photometric data shows short-term brightness variations of $\sim$ 0.5~mag. These results not only reinforce the classification of WRAY~16-232 as a strong LBV candidate but also provide new insights into the mechanisms of dust formation and the chemical enrichment of the interstellar medium by massive stars. We discuss various scenarios for fullerene formation in such environments, and find that shock processing due to wind-wind interactions could be playing a vital role. The shell of WRAY~16-232 has an ideal UV field strength and the time scales appears to match with shock processing timescales. The results highlight the need for further high spatial/spectral resolution and temporal observations to confirm the formation and survival scenario of C$_{60}$ in its shell.

When the Wall Fell: Study of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in T Chamaeleontis using JWST

We investigate the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) emission features of T Cha, a G8-type T Tauri star that has exhibited "seesaw"-type mid-infrared continuum variability over nearly two decades due to the destruction of the disk's inner wall, using JWST/MIRI and Spitzer observations. We report the first detection of weak PAH emission at 6.2, 7.7, and 8.6 microns in the Spitzer/IRS spectrum from 2005. The inner wall destruction in the 2022 JWST epoch allowed more ultraviolet photons to reach the outer disk, increasing the flux levels of PAH bands and enabling their detection well above the continuum. The 11.2 micron PAH flux increases by a factor of three, yet its profile shape remains remarkably stable. The 6.2/11.2 micron flux ratio has increased, but the charge state of the PAH population remains 75% neutral. The PAH features exhibit a "class C" spectral profile, with redshifted peaks and broadened wings consistent with emission from low-mass T Tauri disks. A weak 12.7/11.2 micron ratio points to a lower abundance of duo- and trio-hydrogen modes, implying a predominantly zigzag carbon structure. A faint "class A" sub-component in the 6.2 and 7.7 micron bands may indicate additional PAH processing by ultraviolet radiation from accretion hotspots. Placement on PAH charge-size grids locates T Cha in the low-ionisation, small-size regime (NC <= 30), signifying a largely neutral PAH population across multiple epochs spanning 18 years. Through multi-epoch, high-resolution data from JWST and Spitzer, we identify T Cha as a benchmark source for probing disk evolution and PAH processing, emphasizing the potential of temporal monitoring with JWST.

Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in the circumstellar medium of Herbig Ae/Be stars

We present a comprehensive mid-infrared spectroscopic survey of 124 Herbig Ae/Be stars using newly processed Spitzer/IRS spectra from the newly released CASSISjuice database. Based on prominent dust and molecular signatures (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, silicates, and hydrogenated amorphous carbons), we classify the stars into five groups. Our analysis reveals that 64% of the spectra show PAH emission, with detections peaking in the stellar effective temperature range 7000-11000 K (B9-A5). Silicate features appear in 50% of the sample and likewise diminish at higher temperatures. Additionally, we find that future PAH studies can focus on Herbig Ae/Be stars with a spectral index ($n_{2-24}$ > -1) and flared morphologies to maximize PAH detections. The 6.2 $\mu$m PAH band is the most frequently observed in our sample, shifting blueward with increasing stellar temperature, and this is the largest sample yet used to test that peak shift. The weaker 6.0 $\mu$m feature does not shift with 6.2 $\mu$m, implying a distinct origin of C=O (carbonyl) or olefinic C=C stretching relative to C--C vibrations. We examined the 11.0/11.2 $\mu$m PAH ratio using high-resolution Spitzer spectra for the first time in a sample of Herbig Ae/Be stars, finding a range of ionization conditions. This study provides a strong foundation for future JWST observations of intermediate-mass pre-main-sequence stars.

Analysis of Forbidden Neon Emission lines in HAeBe Stars using Spitzer IRS spectra

We analyzed high-resolution mid-infrared spectra of 78 well-known Herbig Ae/Be (HAeBe) stars using Spitzer InfraRed Spectrograph data, focusing on the detection of [Ne {\sc II}] and [Ne {\sc III}] emission lines as indicators of ionized outflows or disk winds. Emission from [Ne {\sc II}] at 12.81 $\mu$m or [Ne {\sc III}] at 15.55 $\mu$m was identified in 25 sources, constituting the largest sample of HAeBe stars with these detected lines. Our analysis revealed a higher detection frequency of [Ne {\sc II}] in sources with lower relative accretion luminosity (L$_{acc}$/L$_*$ $<$ 0.1), suggesting a connection to the disk dispersal phase. We examined correlations between neon lines and various spectral features and investigated [Ne {\sc III}]-to-[Ne {\sc II}] line flux ratios to explore potential emission mechanisms. Neon emission is predominantly observed in Group I sources (75\%), where their flared disk geometry likely contributes to the observed emission, potentially originating from the irradiated disk atmosphere. Interestingly, we also find that Group II sources exhibit a higher median relative [Ne\,\textsc{ii}] line luminosity (L$_\mathrm{[Ne\,II]}$/L$_*$), suggesting enhanced photoevaporation rates possibly associated with their more settled disk structures. However, larger samples and higher-resolution spectra are required to confirm this trend definitively. The high detection rate of the [Fe {\sc II}] and [S {\sc III}] lines, commonly associated with EUV-dominated regions, alongside a [Ne {\sc III}]-to-[Ne {\sc II}] emission ratio greater than 0.1 in sources where both lines detected, suggests that EUV radiation is the primary driver of neon emission in our sample.

Serendipitous detection of an intense X-ray flare in the weak-line T Tauri star KM Ori with SRG/eROSITA

Weak-line T Tauri stars (WTTS) exhibit X-ray flares, likely resulting from magnetic reconnection that heats the stellar plasma to very high temperatures. These flares are difficult to identify through targeted observations. Here, we report the serendipitous detection of the brightest X-ray flaring state of KM Ori in the eROSITA DR1 survey. Observations from SRG/eROSITA, Chandra X-ray Observatory, and XMM-Newton are analysed to assess the X-ray properties of KM Ori, thereby establishing its flaring state at the eROSITA epoch. The long-term (1999-2020) X-ray light curve generated for the Chandra observations confirmed that eROSITA captured the source at its highest X-ray flaring state recorded to date. Multi-instrument observations support the X-ray flaring state of the source, with time-averaged X-ray luminosity ($L_{0.2-5keV}$) reaching $\sim 1.9\times10^{32}{erg~s^{-1}}$ at the eROSITA epoch, marking it the brightest and possibly the longest flare observed to date. Such intense X-ray flares have been detected only in a few WTTS. The X-ray spectral analysis unveils the presence of multiple thermal plasma components at all epochs. The notably high luminosity ($L_{0.5-8~keV}\sim10^{32}{erg~s}^{-1}$), energy ($E_{0.5-8~keV}\sim10^{37}$erg), and the elevated emission measures of the thermal components in the eROSITA epoch indicate a superflare/megaflare state of KM Ori. Additionally, the H$\alpha$ line equivalent width of $\sim$-5\AA from our optical spectral analysis, combined with the lack of infrared excess in the spectral energy distribution, were used to re-confirm the WTTS (thin disk/disk-less) classification of the source. The long-duration flare of KM Ori observed by eROSITA indicates the possibility of a slow-rise top-flat flare. The detection demonstrates the potential of eROSITA to uncover such rare, transient events, thereby providing new insights into the X-ray activity of WTTS.

Detection of a new sample of Galactic White Dwarfs in the direction of the Small Magellanic Cloud

In this study, we demonstrate the efficacy of the Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) in identifying and characterizing white dwarfs (WDs) within the Milky Way Galaxy. Leveraging the UVIT point source catalogue towards SMC and crossmatching with Gaia DR3 data, we identified 43 single WDs (37 new detections), 13 new WD+main sequence (MS) candidates and 161 UV bright MS stars by analysing their Spectral Energy Distributions (SED). Using the WD evolutionary models, we determine the masses, effective temperatures, and cooling ages of these identified WDs. Masses of these WDs range from 0.2 to 1.3 M$_{\odot}$ and effective temperatures (T$_{eff}$) between 10000 K to 15000 K, with cooling ages spanning 0.1 to 2 Gyr. Notably, we detect hotter WDs compared to literature values, which is attributed to the sensitivity of UVIT. Furthermore, we report the detection of 20 new extremely low-mass (ELM) candidates from our analysis. Future spectroscopic studies of the ELM candidates will help us understand the formation scenarios of these exotic objects. Despite limitations in Gaia DR3 distance measurements for optically faint WDs, we provide a crude estimate of the WD space density within 1kpc as 1.3 $\times$ 10$^{-3}$ pc$^{-3}$, which is higher than previous estimates in the literature. Our results underscore the instrumental capabilities of UVIT and anticipate the forthcoming UV missions like INSIST for systematic WD discovery. Our methodology sets a precedent for future analyses in other UVIT fields to find more WDs and perform spectroscopic studies to verify their candidacy.

Reservoir computing with logistic map

Recent studies on reservoir computing essentially involve a high dimensional dynamical system as the reservoir, which transforms and stores the input as a higher dimensional state, for temporal and nontemporal data processing. We demonstrate here a method to predict temporal and nontemporal tasks by constructing virtual nodes as constituting a reservoir in reservoir computing using a nonlinear map, namely the logistic map, and a simple finite trigonometric series. We predict three nonlinear systems, namely Lorenz, Rossler, and Hindmarsh-Rose, for temporal tasks and a seventh order polynomial for nontemporal tasks with great accuracy. Also, the prediction is made in the presence of noise and found to closely agree with the target. Remarkably, the logistic map performs well and predicts close to the actual or target values. The low values of the root mean square error confirm the accuracy of this method in terms of efficiency. Our approach removes the necessity of continuous dynamical systems for constructing the reservoir in reservoir computing. Moreover, the accurate prediction for the three different nonlinear systems suggests that this method can be considered a general one and can be applied to predict many systems. Finally, we show that the method also accurately anticipates the time series of the all the three variable of Rossler system for the future (self prediction).

Exploration of field-like torque and field-angle tunability in coupled spin-torque nano oscillators for synchronization

We investigate the influence of field-like torque and the direction of the external magnetic field on a one-dimensional array of serially connected spin-torque nano oscillators, having free layers with perpendicular anisotropy, to achieve complete synchronization between them by analyzing the associated Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert-Slonczewski equation. The obtained results for synchronization are discussed for the cases of 2, 10 and 100 oscillators separately. The roles of the field-like torque and the direction of the external field on the synchronization of the STNOs are explored through the Kuramoto order parameter. While the field-like torque alone is sufficient to bring out global synchronization in the system made up of a small number of STNOs, the direction of the external field is also needed to be slightly tuned to synchronize the one-dimensional array of a large number of STNOs. The formation of complete synchronization through the construction of clusters within the system is identified for the 100 oscillators. The large amplitude synchronized oscillations are obtained for small to large numbers of oscillators. Moreover, the tunability in frequency for a wide range of currents is shown for the synchronized oscillations up to 100 spin-torque oscillators. In addition to achieving synchronization, the field-like torque increases the frequency of the synchronized oscillations. The transverse Lyapunov exponents are deduced to confirm the stable synchronization in coupled STNOs due to the field-like torque and to validate the results obtained in the numerical simulations. The output power of the array is estimated to be enhanced substantially due to complete synchronization by the combined effect of field-like torque and tunability of the field angle.

Identifying the population of T-Tauri stars in Taurus: UV-optical synergy

With the third data release of the Gaia mission $Gaia$ DR3 with its precise photometry and astrometry, it is now possible to study the behaviour of stars at a scale never seen before. In this paper, we developed new criteria to identify T-Tauri stars (TTS) candidates using UV and optical CMDs by combining the GALEX and Gaia surveys. We found 19 TTS candidates and 5 of them are newly identified TTS in the Taurus Molecular Cloud (TMC), not catalogued before as TMC members. For some of the TTS candidates, we also obtained optical spectra from several Indian telescopes. We also present the analysis of the distance and proper motion of young stars in the Taurus using data from $Gaia$ DR3. We found that the stars in Taurus show a bimodal distribution with distance, having peaks at $130.17_{-1.24}^{1.31}$ pc and $156.25_{-5.00}^{1.86}$ pc. The reason for this bimodality, we think, is due to the fact that different clouds in the TMC region are at different distances. We further show that the two populations have similar ages and proper motion distribution. Using the $Gaia$ DR3 colour-magnitude diagram, we show that the age of Taurus is consistent with 1 Myr.

Soliton molecules in Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou lattice: Gardner equation approach

We revisit the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou lattice (FPUT) with quadratic and cubic nonlinear interactions in the continuous limit by deducing the Gardner equation. Through the Hirota bilinear method, multi-soliton solutions are obtained for the Gardner equation. Based on these solutions, we show the excitation of an interesting class of table-top soliton molecules in the FPUT lattice through the velocity resonance mechanism. Depending on the condition on the free parameters, we classify them as dissociated and synthetic type molecules. The main feature of the table-top soliton molecules is that they do not exhibit oscillations in the coalescence region. This property ensures that they are distinct from the soliton molecules, having retrieval force, of the nonlinear Schr\"odinger family of systems. Further, to study the stability of the soliton molecule we allow it to interact with a single (or multi) soliton(s). The asymptotic analysis shows that their structures remain constant, though the bond length varies, throughout the collision process. In addition, we consider the FPUT lattice with quadratic nonlinear interaction and FPUT lattice with cubic nonlinearity as sub-cases and point out the nature of the soliton molecules for these cases also systematically. We achieve this based on the interconnections between the solutions of the Gardner, modified K-dV and K-dV equations. Finally, we simulate the FPUT chain corresponding to the Gardner equation numerically and verify the existence of all the soliton structures associated with it. We believe that the present study can be extended to other integrable and non-integrable systems with applications in fluid dynamics, Bose-Einstein condensates, nonlinear optics, and plasma physics.

Spectroscopic study of Herbig Ae/Be stars in the Galactic Anti-center region from LAMOST DR5

We study a sample of 119 Herbig Ae/Be stars in the Galactic anti-center direction using the spectroscopic data from Large sky Area Multi-Object fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) survey program. Emission lines of hydrogen belonging to the Balmer and Paschen series, and metallic lines of species such as FeII, OI, CaII triplet are identified. A moderate correlation is observed between the emission strengths of H$\alpha$ and FeII 5169 \r{A}, suggesting a possible common emission region for FeII lines and one of the components of H$\alpha$. We explored a technique for the extinction correction of the HAeBe stars using diffuse interstellar bands present in the spectrum. We estimated the stellar parameters such as age and mass of these HAeBe stars, which are found to be in the range 0.1 -- 10 Myr and 1.5 -- 10 $M_{\odot}$, respectively. We found that the mass accretion rate of the HAeBe stars in the Galactic anti-center direction follows the relation $\dot{M}_{acc}$ $\propto$ $M_{*}^{3.12^{+0.21}_{-0.34}}$, which is similar to the relation derived for HAeBe stars in other regions of the Galaxy. The mass accretion rate of HAeBe stars is found to have a functional form of $\dot{M}_{acc} \propto t^{-1.1 \pm 0.2}$ with age, in agreement with previous studies.

Disentangling the two sub-populations of early Herbig Be stars using VLT/X-Shooter spectra

Early Herbig Be (HBe) stars are massive, young stars accreting through the Boundary Layer mechanism. However, given the rapid ($<$ 2 Myr) evolution of early Herbig stars to the main-sequence phase, studying the evolution of the circumstellar medium around these stars can be a cumbersome exercise. In this work, we study the sample of early (B0-B5) HBe stars using the correlation between H$\alpha$ emission strength and near--infrared excess, complemented by the analysis of various emission features in the X-Shooter spectra. We segregate the sample of 37 early HBe stars based on the median values of H$\alpha$ equivalent width (EW) and near--infrared index (n(J$-$H)) distributions. The stars with |H$\alpha$ EW| $>$ 50 {\AA} and n(J$-$H) $>$ -2 are classified as intense HBe stars and stars with |H$\alpha$ EW| $<$ 50 {\AA} and n(J$-$H) $<$ -2 as weak HBe stars. Using the VLT/X--Shooter spectra of five intense and eight weak HBe stars, we visually checked for the differences in intensity and profiles of various H{\sc I} and metallic emission lines commonly observed in Herbig stars. We propose that the intense HBe stars possess an inner disk close to the star (as apparent from the high near-infrared excess) and an active circumstellar environment (as seen from high H$\alpha$ EW value and presence of emission lines belonging to Fe{\sc II}, Ca{\sc II}, O{\sc I} and [O{\sc I}]). However, for weak HBe stars, the inner disk has cleared, and the circumstellar environment appears more evolved than for intense HBe stars. Furthermore, we compiled a sample of $\sim$58,000 emission-line stars published in \textit{Gaia DR3} to identify more intense HBe candidates. Further spectroscopic studies of these candidates will help us to understand the evolution of the inner ($\sim$a few au) disk in early HBe stars.

High frequency oscillations in spin-torque nano oscillator due to bilinear coupling

Exchange coupling in an interfacial context is crucial for spin-torque nano oscillator (STNO) that consists of a non-magnetic spacer which is alloyed with a ferromagnetic material. Currently, investigations on the dynamics of the free layer magnetization and frequency enhancement in the STNO with bilinear coupling are still being actively pursued. In the present work, we investigate the dynamics of the STNO in the presence of bilinear coupling but in the absence of an external magnetic field by analyzing the associated Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert-Sloncewski(LLGS) equation, and consequently the impact of the bilinear coupling on the dynamics of the magnetization of the free layer is studied. It is observed that the frequency of the oscillations in the magnetization component along the direction of the pinned layer polarization can be enhanced above 300 GHz by positive bilinear coupling and up to around 30 GHz by negative bilinear coupling. We further reveal a transition from in-plane to out-of-plane precession both for positive and negative bi-linear couplings. We also analyze the switching of the magnetization for different values of current and bilinear coupling. Our detailed investigations of STNO with bilinear coupling aim at the possibilities of high-frequency devices by considering the applied current and bilinear coupling in the absence of a magnetic field.
