Optomechanically induced transparency in the presence of a strong Duffing nonlinearity

We consider the combined effect of a Duffing nonlinearity and the optomechanical interaction on the cavity density of states (DOS), which is directly observable in optomechanically induced transparency (OMIT) experiments. Both nonlinearities introduce the same type of interaction between polaritons, producing a distinct feature in the optical response. We derive the resonant condition that enhances the nonlinear scattering between polaritons and study the parameter dependence of the cavity DOS in detail. This allows us to characterize the typical strength and optimal conditions for observing the quantum effects of the Duffing nonlinearity in OMIT experiments.

Setoka: A Benchmark for Hierarchical User Understanding in Personalized Agents over Heterogeneous Data

Personalized agents are increasingly applied to assist users across a wide range of tasks. Effective personalized assistance requires not only retrieving explicit facts from past interactions stored in agent memory, but also inferring abstract personal characteristics. However, existing memory benchmarks primarily evaluate whether an agent can retrieve information explicitly stated in conversational histories, failing to provide an effective assessment of deeper user understanding. In this work, we propose Setoka, a benchmark for evaluating memory-augmented personalized agents with hierarchical user understanding from heterogeneous data. Grounded in theories from cognitive and personality psychology, Setoka defines four levels of user understanding, i.e., semantic memory, episodic memory, behavior pattern, and personality trait. Moreover, to enable realistic yet privacy-preserving evaluation, we design a psychometrics-based pipeline that synthesizes diverse, coherent heterogeneous user data and queries at scale. Finally, we leverage Setoka to evaluate 3 language models combined with 5 memory systems for 10 synthetic users. Our comprehensive evaluation reveals that while existing systems perform well on semantic memory retrieval, their performance declines on episodic memory. Moreover, when dealing with behavior pattern and personality trait understanding tasks that require integrating heterogeneous and fragmented information dispersed over time, performance declines even further. These findings demonstrate that user understanding cannot be handled by simple fact retrieval, motivating the design of memory mechanisms for cross-source integration and abstraction over long-term user behavior.

Perception, Verdict, and Evolution: Hindsight-Driven Self-Refining Forensics Agent for AI-Generated Image Detection

The rapid advancement of generative models presents a significant challenge to existing deepfake detection methods, particularly given the widespread dissemination of highly realistic AI-generated images. Although Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) show strong potential for this task, existing approaches suffer from two key limitations: insufficient sensitivity to fine-grained forensic artifacts and reliance on static synthetic supervision from frontier models, leading to limited flexibility and high-cost. To address these issues, we propose ForeAgent, an agentic forensics framework for AI-generated image detection with iterative self-evolution. First, ForeAgent adopts a Perception-Verdict architecture that aggregates multi-view cues spanning semantic, spatial, and frequency-domain features, and leverages an MLLM as a verdict module to fuse these signals for a logical-grounded verdict. Second, to enable continual self-improvement, we introduce a Hindsight-Driven Self-Refining strategy following a Sampling-Reflection-Evolution paradigm. The agent performs inference rollouts on training instances. Guided by ground-truth labels as hindsight, it reflects on failure cases and low-quality reasoning trajectories to regenerate higher-quality reasoning traces. These synthesized samples are then strictly filtered through a dual-expert quality gating module. ForeAgent continuously evolves via fine-tuning on self-curated high-quality samples. Extensive experiments demonstrate that ForeAgent achieves state-of-the-art performance on the Chameleon benchmark, reaching 82.18% accuracy (+16.41% over AIDE), and achieves 93.3% mean accuracy on AIGCDetect-Benchmark across 16 generators. In addition, external evaluation shows that ForeAgent produces more consistent and causally grounded reasoning compared to GPT-5 and GPT-5-mini.

Route-Constrained Robust Fusion Estimation for MEMS/GNSS Integrated Navigation of Unmanned Ground Vehicles in GNSS Degraded Environments

To address cumulative localization drift of unmanned ground vehicles in structured road environments under severe Global Navigation Satellite System signal occlusion, this paper proposes a robust route-constrained state estimation method. During periods without satellite signals, the proposed method establishes the correspondence between the historical dead reckoning trajectory and local segments of the mission route extracted from a high-definition map, and estimates a route-referenced position via a two-dimensional rigid transformation. The estimated position is then formulated as a pseudo-position observation and incorporated into an Extended Kalman Filter update. In this way, route constraints at the road level can be continuously injected into a unified state estimation framework, thereby suppressing position deviation relative to the mission route while indirectly improving azimuth estimation. To enhance practical applicability, engineering strategies, such as trigger control, matching quality validation, route offset compensation, and single update correction limiting, are further introduced. Experiments in three representative scenarios, including a long tunnel, a multi-segment tunnel, and a curved tunnel, show that the proposed method effectively suppresses error accumulation during satellite outages, reduces the risk of large maximum deviation, and improves localization continuity and road-level usability.

SC-TauPath: A Structural Connectivity Attribution Framework for Mapping Tau Propagation Pathways in Alzheimer's Disease

Understanding how structural connections are associated with tau propagation in Alzheimer's disease (AD) remains a central open question, yet existing computational models either rely heavily on biophysical assumptions or lack neurobiologically interpretable pathway maps. We present SC-TauPath, a structural connectivity (SC) attribution framework that maps tau propagation pathways from in vivo neuroimaging data. SC-TauPath combines a Network Diffusion Model (NDM)-augmented multilayer perceptron with gradient $\times$ input attribution to score each SC edge's contribution to tau prediction, then translates these attribution scores into multi-scale pathway maps (backbone edges, high-traffic routes, and hub ROIs), which validates established Braak staging anatomy. Applied to 234 ADNI participants with paired DTI SC and 18F-Flortaucipir PET, SC-TauPath achieves strong cross-validated tau prediction and yields attribution-based pathway maps consistent with established Braak staging anatomy, demonstrating that SC encode spatially specific information about regional tau distribution in AD.

Antiferromagnetic Ordering Enhanced Magnetic Damping in Mn2Au/CoFeB Bilayers

Antiferromagnets (AFMs) hold significant potential for spintronic devices owing to their insensitivity to external magnetic fields and the absence of stray fields. Beyond these inherent advantages, an AFM can manipulate the magnetic dynamics of a ferromagnet (FM) layer in AFM/FM bilayers, whereas the mechanism of such manipulation remains controversial. Here, we investigate the magnetic dynamics of AFM/FM Mn2Au/CoFeB bilayers via Ferromagnetic Resonance (FMR). It is found that the N\'eel temperature of 2-nm-thick Mn2Au is as low as ~40 K, in sharp contrast to that of bulk Mn2Au, which exceeds 1000 K. In the Mn2Au(2 nm)/CoFeB(4 nm) bilayer, the magnetic damping ${\alpha}$ of the CoFeB layer increases from 0.013 to 0.047 as temperature decreases from 160 K to 10 K, accompanied by a synchronous increase in the exchange coupling field H_rot. Such an increase in ${\alpha}$ is attributed to the enhanced spin angular momentum transfer from CoFeB to Mn2Au, mediated through AFM-FM exchange coupling between Mn2Au and CoFeB, which is enhanced by the Mn2Au antiferromagnetic ordering as the temperature decreases. Our study provides deeper insights into AFM/FM dynamics and spintronic storage technology.

Robust fluctuating intertwined charge stripes in the Emery model

The single-band Hubbard model is one of the most extensively studied models in condensed matter physics, giving rise to intertwined spin and charge stripes that coexist with, or lie in the vicinity of, superconductivity in the phase diagram. However, whether the low energy physics of the single-band Hubbard model is fully equivalent to the multi-band (multi-orbital) Emery model remains an unsettled question. While the intertwined stripes and nematicity have been studied in the single-band Hubbard model, a comprehensive picture in the Emery model is lacking. In this paper, we focus on the less investigated intertwined charge stripes using complementary density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) and determinant quantum Monte Carlo (DQMC) techniques. Our ground state DMRG confirms the presence of the oxygen-centered charge stripes at a reduced amplitude in the Emery model parameter regime widely used in the study of intertwined stripes. Close analysis of the oxygen orbital structure of the static charge correlation function from DQMC reveals the charge stripe pattern in real-space, showcasing stronger charge density modulation on $p$-orbitals pointing along ``the rivers of charge'', consistent with DMRG. For the parameter set with the largest fermion signs, we managed to reach a temperature where the system first demonstrated tendencies to form purely unidirectional spin and charge stripes, and the $B_{1g}$ component becomes dominant in the bond-charge nematic susceptibility. This observation correlates with the doping dependence of the kinetic energy anisotropy, suggesting a close relation between the nematicity and charge stripes in the Emery model.

HetScene: Heterogeneity-Aware Diffusion for Dense Indoor Scene Generation

Generating controllable and physically plausible indoor scenes is a pivotal prerequisite for constructing high-fidelity simulation environments for embodied AI. However, existing deeplearning-based methods usually treat all objects as homogeneous instances within a unified generation process. While effective for sparse and simplistic layouts, they struggle to model realistic layouts with dense object arrangements and complex spatial dependencies, leadingto limited scalability and degraded physical plausibility. To deal with these challenges, we revisit indoor layout generation from the perspective of structural heterogeneity and decompose the objects into primary objects and secondary objects according to their distinct roles in shaping a scene. Based on this decomposition, we propose HetScene, a heterogeneous two-stage generation framework that decouples indoor layout synthesis into Structural Layout Generation (SLG) and Contextual Layout Generation (CLG). SLG first generates globally coherent structural layouts with only primary objects conditioned on text descriptions, top-down binary room masks, and spatial relation graphs, establishing a stable global macro-skeleton of large core furniture.

Surface ferrimagnetic order in RuO2 film

RuO2, widely proposed as a prototypical altermagnet, remains intensely debated with regard to its magnetic nature. Here, we demonstrate that RuO2 is non-magnetic in the bulk, but possesses a spontaneous surface ferrimagnetic order. Using spin- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we directly detect a narrow surface state with identical spin polarizations at opposite momenta and at the Brillouin-zone center, incompatible with the spin texture of any altermagnetic order. First-principles calculations identify the non-magnetic bulk state and reveal that the detected magnetism is confined to the fully oxygen-terminated surface, where the charge transfer from Ru to O at surface triggers a ferrimagnetic alignment between adjacent Ru sublattices with antiparallel moments of +0.48 uB and -0.04 uB. Our findings provide a unified explanation reconciling debating reports on the magnetism of RuO2, establishing surface ferrimagnetism as the origin of the observed magnetic signals, and distinguishing it unambiguously from altermagnetism.

Global Well-posedness of Strong Solutions to the Cauchy Problem of 2D Nonhomogeneous Navier-Stokes Equations with Density-Dependent Viscosity and Vacuum

This paper is concerned with the Cauchy problem for the modified two-dimensional (2D) nonhomogeneous incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with density-dependent viscosity. By fully using the structure of the system, we can obtain the key estimates of $\|\nabla \rho\|_{L_t^\infty L_x^q},q>2$ without any smallness asuumption on the initial data, and thus establish the global existence of the strong solutions with the far-field density being either vacuum or nonvacuum. Notably, the initial data can be arbitrarily large and the initial density is allowed to vanish. Furthermore, the large-time asymptotic behavior of the gradients of the velocity and the pressure is also established.

FashionMAC: Deformation-Free Fashion Image Generation with Fine-Grained Model Appearance Customization

Garment-centric fashion image generation aims to synthesize realistic and controllable human models dressing a given garment, which has attracted growing interest due to its practical applications in e-commerce. The key challenges of the task lie in two aspects: (1) faithfully preserving the garment details, and (2) gaining fine-grained controllability over the model's appearance. Existing methods typically require performing garment deformation in the generation process, which often leads to garment texture distortions. Also, they fail to control the fine-grained attributes of the generated models, due to the lack of specifically designed mechanisms. To address these issues, we propose FashionMAC, a novel diffusion-based deformation-free framework that achieves high-quality and controllable fashion showcase image generation. The core idea of our framework is to eliminate the need for performing garment deformation and directly outpaint the garment segmented from a dressed person, which enables faithful preservation of the intricate garment details. Moreover, we propose a novel region-adaptive decoupled attention (RADA) mechanism along with a chained mask injection strategy to achieve fine-grained appearance controllability over the synthesized human models. Specifically, RADA adaptively predicts the generated regions for each fine-grained text attribute and enforces the text attribute to focus on the predicted regions by a chained mask injection strategy, significantly enhancing the visual fidelity and the controllability. Extensive experiments validate the superior performance of our framework compared to existing state-of-the-art methods.

Redshift-dependent Distance Duality Violation in Resolving Multidimensional Cosmic Tensions

In this work, we investigate whether violations of the distance-duality relation (DDR) can resolve the multidimensional cosmic tensions characterized by the $H_0$ and $S_8$ discrepancies. Using the Fisher-bias formalism, we reconstruct minimal, data-driven $\eta(z)$ profiles that capture the late-time deviations required to reconcile early- and late-Universe calibrations. While a constant DDR offset preserves the Pantheon-inferred matter density $\Omega_m = 0.334 \pm 0.018$--leaving its inconsistency with the Planck best-fit $\Lambda$CDM model and weak-lensing surveys unresolved--a time-varying DDR substantially reduces cross-dataset inconsistencies and improves the global fit, yielding $\Delta\chi^2 \simeq -10$ relative to $\Lambda$CDM when the SH0ES prior is excluded. This result suggests that the $\Omega_m$ discrepancy may represent indirect evidence for a time-varying DDR. A hybrid scenario combining a time-dependent DDR with a phantom-like dark energy transition achieves the most consistent global reconciliation, reducing the tension with DES-Y3 measurements to below $2\sigma$. These findings indicate that a mild DDR violation, coupled with evolving dark energy, offers a coherent pathway toward jointly addressing the $H_0$ and $S_8$ tensions.

Qwen3Guard Technical Report

As large language models (LLMs) become more capable and widely used, ensuring the safety of their outputs is increasingly critical. Existing guardrail models, though useful in static evaluation settings, face two major limitations in real-world applications: (1) they typically output only binary "safe/unsafe" labels, which can be interpreted inconsistently across diverse safety policies, rendering them incapable of accommodating varying safety tolerances across domains; and (2) they require complete model outputs before performing safety checks, making them fundamentally incompatible with streaming LLM inference, thereby preventing timely intervention during generation and increasing exposure to harmful partial outputs. To address these challenges, we present Qwen3Guard, a series of multilingual safety guardrail models with two specialized variants: Generative Qwen3Guard, which casts safety classification as an instruction-following task to enable fine-grained tri-class judgments (safe, controversial, unsafe); and Stream Qwen3Guard, which introduces a token-level classification head for real-time safety monitoring during incremental text generation. Both variants are available in three sizes (0.6B, 4B, and 8B parameters) and support up to 119 languages and dialects, providing comprehensive, scalable, and low-latency safety moderation for global LLM deployments. Evaluated across English, Chinese, and multilingual benchmarks, Qwen3Guard achieves state-of-the-art performance in both prompt and response safety classification. All models are released under the Apache 2.0 license for public use.

Soft-Evidence Fused Graph Neural Network for Cancer Driver Gene Identification across Multi-View Biological Graphs

Identifying cancer driver genes (CDGs) is essential for understanding cancer mechanisms and developing targeted therapies. Graph neural networks (GNNs) have recently been employed to identify CDGs by capturing patterns in biological interaction networks. However, most GNN-based approaches rely on a single protein-protein interaction (PPI) network, ignoring complementary information from other biological networks. Some studies integrate multiple networks by aligning features with consistency constraints to learn unified gene representations for CDG identification. However, such representation-level fusion often assumes congruent gene relationships across networks, which may overlook network heterogeneity and introduce conflicting information. To address this, we propose Soft-Evidence Fusion Graph Neural Network (SEFGNN), a novel framework for CDG identification across multiple networks at the decision level. Instead of enforcing feature-level consistency, SEFGNN treats each biological network as an independent evidence source and performs uncertainty-aware fusion at the decision level using Dempster-Shafer Theory (DST). To alleviate the risk of overconfidence from DST, we further introduce a Soft Evidence Smoothing (SES) module that improves ranking stability while preserving discriminative performance. Experiments on three cancer datasets show that SEFGNN consistently outperforms state-of-the-art baselines and exhibits strong potential in discovering novel CDGs.

Hund's coupling assisted orbital-selective superconductivity in Ba1-xKxFe2As2

While the superconducting transition temperature of hole-doped Ba_{1-x}K_{x}Fe_{2}As_{2} decreases past optimal doping, superconductivity does not completely disappear even for the fully doped KFe_{2}As_{2} compound. In fact, superconductivity is robust through a Lifshitz transition where electron bands become hole-like around the zone corner at around x=0.7, thus challenging the conventional understanding of superconductivity in iron-based systems. High-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy is used to investigate the superconducting gap structure, as well as the normal state electronic structure, around optimal doping and across the Lifshitz transition. Our findings reveal a largely orbital-dependent superconducting gap structure, where the more strongly correlated d_{xy} band has a vanishing superconducting gap at higher doping, aligning with the Hund's metal behavior observed in the normal state. Notably, the superconducting gap on the d_{xy} band disappears before the Lifshitz transition, suggesting that the Fermi surface topology may play a secondary role. We discuss how these results point to orbital-selective superconducting pairing and how strong correlations via Hund's coupling may shape superconducting gap structures in iron-based and other multiorbital superconductors.

UniTransfer: Video Concept Transfer via Progressive Spatial and Timestep Decomposition

We propose a novel architecture UniTransfer, which introduces both spatial and diffusion timestep decomposition in a progressive paradigm, achieving precise and controllable video concept transfer. Specifically, in terms of spatial decomposition, we decouple videos into three key components: the foreground subject, the background, and the motion flow. Building upon this decomposed formulation, we further introduce a dual-to-single-stream DiT-based architecture for supporting fine-grained control over different components in the videos. We also introduce a self-supervised pretraining strategy based on random masking to enhance the decomposed representation learning from large-scale unlabeled video data. Inspired by the Chain-of-Thought reasoning paradigm, we further revisit the denoising diffusion process and propose a Chain-of-Prompt (CoP) mechanism to achieve the timestep decomposition. We decompose the denoising process into three stages of different granularity and leverage large language models (LLMs) for stage-specific instructions to guide the generation progressively. We also curate an animal-centric video dataset called OpenAnimal to facilitate the advancement and benchmarking of research in video concept transfer. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves high-quality and controllable video concept transfer across diverse reference images and scenes, surpassing existing baselines in both visual fidelity and editability. CoGrader: Transforming Instructors' Assessment of Project Reports through Collaborative LLM Integration

Grading project reports are increasingly significant in today's educational landscape, where they serve as key assessments of students' comprehensive problem-solving abilities. However, it remains challenging due to the multifaceted evaluation criteria involved, such as creativity and peer-comparative achievement. Meanwhile, instructors often struggle to maintain fairness throughout the time-consuming grading process. Recent advances in AI, particularly large language models, have demonstrated potential for automating simpler grading tasks, such as assessing quizzes or basic writing quality. However, these tools often fall short when it comes to complex metrics, like design innovation and the practical application of knowledge, that require an instructor's educational insights into the class situation. To address this challenge, we conducted a formative study with six instructors and developed CoGrader, which introduces a novel grading workflow combining human-LLM collaborative metrics design, benchmarking, and AI-assisted feedback. CoGrader was found effective in improving grading efficiency and consistency while providing reliable peer-comparative feedback to students. We also discuss design insights and ethical considerations for the development of human-AI collaborative grading systems.

Global strong solution of the 3D compressible liquid crystal flows with density-dependent viscosity and large velocity

This paper concerns the Cauchy problem of three-dimensional compressible liquid crystal flows with density-dependent viscosity. When the viscosity coefficients $\mu_1(\rho),\mu_2(\rho)$ are power functions of the density with the power larger than $1$, it is proved that the system exists a unique global strong solution as long as the initial density is sufficiently large and $L^3$-norm of the derivative of the initial director is sufficiently small. This is the first result concerning the global strong solution for three-dimensional compressible liquid crystal flows without smallness of velocity.
