Qwen3Guard Technical Report

As large language models (LLMs) become more capable and widely used, ensuring the safety of their outputs is increasingly critical. Existing guardrail models, though useful in static evaluation settings, face two major limitations in real-world applications: (1) they typically output only binary "safe/unsafe" labels, which can be interpreted inconsistently across diverse safety policies, rendering them incapable of accommodating varying safety tolerances across domains; and (2) they require complete model outputs before performing safety checks, making them fundamentally incompatible with streaming LLM inference, thereby preventing timely intervention during generation and increasing exposure to harmful partial outputs. To address these challenges, we present Qwen3Guard, a series of multilingual safety guardrail models with two specialized variants: Generative Qwen3Guard, which casts safety classification as an instruction-following task to enable fine-grained tri-class judgments (safe, controversial, unsafe); and Stream Qwen3Guard, which introduces a token-level classification head for real-time safety monitoring during incremental text generation. Both variants are available in three sizes (0.6B, 4B, and 8B parameters) and support up to 119 languages and dialects, providing comprehensive, scalable, and low-latency safety moderation for global LLM deployments. Evaluated across English, Chinese, and multilingual benchmarks, Qwen3Guard achieves state-of-the-art performance in both prompt and response safety classification. All models are released under the Apache 2.0 license for public use.

Soft-Evidence Fused Graph Neural Network for Cancer Driver Gene Identification across Multi-View Biological Graphs

Identifying cancer driver genes (CDGs) is essential for understanding cancer mechanisms and developing targeted therapies. Graph neural networks (GNNs) have recently been employed to identify CDGs by capturing patterns in biological interaction networks. However, most GNN-based approaches rely on a single protein-protein interaction (PPI) network, ignoring complementary information from other biological networks. Some studies integrate multiple networks by aligning features with consistency constraints to learn unified gene representations for CDG identification. However, such representation-level fusion often assumes congruent gene relationships across networks, which may overlook network heterogeneity and introduce conflicting information. To address this, we propose Soft-Evidence Fusion Graph Neural Network (SEFGNN), a novel framework for CDG identification across multiple networks at the decision level. Instead of enforcing feature-level consistency, SEFGNN treats each biological network as an independent evidence source and performs uncertainty-aware fusion at the decision level using Dempster-Shafer Theory (DST). To alleviate the risk of overconfidence from DST, we further introduce a Soft Evidence Smoothing (SES) module that improves ranking stability while preserving discriminative performance. Experiments on three cancer datasets show that SEFGNN consistently outperforms state-of-the-art baselines and exhibits strong potential in discovering novel CDGs.

Hund's coupling assisted orbital-selective superconductivity in Ba1-xKxFe2As2

While the superconducting transition temperature of hole-doped Ba_{1-x}K_{x}Fe_{2}As_{2} decreases past optimal doping, superconductivity does not completely disappear even for the fully doped KFe_{2}As_{2} compound. In fact, superconductivity is robust through a Lifshitz transition where electron bands become hole-like around the zone corner at around x=0.7, thus challenging the conventional understanding of superconductivity in iron-based systems. High-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy is used to investigate the superconducting gap structure, as well as the normal state electronic structure, around optimal doping and across the Lifshitz transition. Our findings reveal a largely orbital-dependent superconducting gap structure, where the more strongly correlated d_{xy} band has a vanishing superconducting gap at higher doping, aligning with the Hund's metal behavior observed in the normal state. Notably, the superconducting gap on the d_{xy} band disappears before the Lifshitz transition, suggesting that the Fermi surface topology may play a secondary role. We discuss how these results point to orbital-selective superconducting pairing and how strong correlations via Hund's coupling may shape superconducting gap structures in iron-based and other multiorbital superconductors.

UniTransfer: Video Concept Transfer via Progressive Spatial and Timestep Decomposition

We propose a novel architecture UniTransfer, which introduces both spatial and diffusion timestep decomposition in a progressive paradigm, achieving precise and controllable video concept transfer. Specifically, in terms of spatial decomposition, we decouple videos into three key components: the foreground subject, the background, and the motion flow. Building upon this decomposed formulation, we further introduce a dual-to-single-stream DiT-based architecture for supporting fine-grained control over different components in the videos. We also introduce a self-supervised pretraining strategy based on random masking to enhance the decomposed representation learning from large-scale unlabeled video data. Inspired by the Chain-of-Thought reasoning paradigm, we further revisit the denoising diffusion process and propose a Chain-of-Prompt (CoP) mechanism to achieve the timestep decomposition. We decompose the denoising process into three stages of different granularity and leverage large language models (LLMs) for stage-specific instructions to guide the generation progressively. We also curate an animal-centric video dataset called OpenAnimal to facilitate the advancement and benchmarking of research in video concept transfer. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves high-quality and controllable video concept transfer across diverse reference images and scenes, surpassing existing baselines in both visual fidelity and editability. CoGrader: Transforming Instructors' Assessment of Project Reports through Collaborative LLM Integration

Grading project reports are increasingly significant in today's educational landscape, where they serve as key assessments of students' comprehensive problem-solving abilities. However, it remains challenging due to the multifaceted evaluation criteria involved, such as creativity and peer-comparative achievement. Meanwhile, instructors often struggle to maintain fairness throughout the time-consuming grading process. Recent advances in AI, particularly large language models, have demonstrated potential for automating simpler grading tasks, such as assessing quizzes or basic writing quality. However, these tools often fall short when it comes to complex metrics, like design innovation and the practical application of knowledge, that require an instructor's educational insights into the class situation. To address this challenge, we conducted a formative study with six instructors and developed CoGrader, which introduces a novel grading workflow combining human-LLM collaborative metrics design, benchmarking, and AI-assisted feedback. CoGrader was found effective in improving grading efficiency and consistency while providing reliable peer-comparative feedback to students. We also discuss design insights and ethical considerations for the development of human-AI collaborative grading systems.

Global strong solution of the 3D compressible liquid crystal flows with density-dependent viscosity and large velocity

This paper concerns the Cauchy problem of three-dimensional compressible liquid crystal flows with density-dependent viscosity. When the viscosity coefficients $μ_1(ρ),μ_2(ρ)$ are power functions of the density with the power larger than $1$, it is proved that the system exists a unique global strong solution as long as the initial density is sufficiently large and $L^3$-norm of the derivative of the initial director is sufficiently small. This is the first result concerning the global strong solution for three-dimensional compressible liquid crystal flows without smallness of velocity.

LF-GNSS: Towards More Robust Satellite Positioning with a Hard Example Mining Enhanced Learning-Filtering Deep Fusion Framework

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is essential for autonomous driving systems, unmanned vehicles, and various location-based technologies, as it provides the precise geospatial information necessary for navigation and situational awareness. However, its performance is often degraded by Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) and multipath effects, especially in urban environments. Recently, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been driving innovation across numerous industries, introducing novel solutions to mitigate the challenges in satellite positioning. This paper presents a learning-filtering deep fusion framework for satellite positioning, termed LF-GNSS. The framework utilizes deep learning networks to intelligently analyze the signal characteristics of satellite observations, enabling the adaptive construction of observation noise covariance matrices and compensated innovation vectors for Kalman filter input. A dynamic hard example mining technique is incorporated to enhance model robustness by prioritizing challenging satellite signals during training. Additionally, we introduce a novel feature representation based on Dilution of Precision (DOP) contributions, which helps to more effectively characterize the signal quality of individual satellites and improve measurement weighting. LF-GNSS has been validated on both public and private datasets, demonstrating superior positioning accuracy compared to traditional methods and other learning-based solutions. To encourage further integration of AI and GNSS research, we will open-source the code at https://github.com/GarlanLou/LF-GNSS, and release a collection of satellite positioning datasets for urban scenarios at https://github.com/GarlanLou/LF-GNSS-Dataset.

EasyRobust: A Comprehensive and Easy-to-use Toolkit for Robust and Generalized Vision

Deep neural networks (DNNs) has shown great promise in computer vision tasks. However, machine vision achieved by DNNs cannot be as robust as human perception. Adversarial attacks and data distribution shifts have been known as two major scenarios which degrade machine performance and obstacle the wide deployment of machines "in the wild". In order to break these obstructions and facilitate the research of model robustness, we develop EasyRobust, a comprehensive and easy-to-use toolkit for training, evaluation and analysis of robust vision models. EasyRobust targets at two types of robustness: 1) Adversarial robustness enables the model to defense against malicious inputs crafted by worst-case perturbations, also known as adversarial examples; 2) Non-adversarial robustness enhances the model performance on natural test images with corruptions or distribution shifts. Thorough benchmarks on image classification enable EasyRobust to provide an accurate robustness evaluation on vision models. We wish our EasyRobust can help for training practically-robust models and promote academic and industrial progress in closing the gap between human and machine vision. Codes and models of EasyRobust have been open-sourced in https://github.com/alibaba/easyrobust.

Spherically symmetric horizonless solutions and their frozen states in Bardeen spacetime with Proca field

In this paper, we construct a static spherical symmetric Bardeen-Proca star (BPS) model, which consists of the electromagnetic field and Proca field minimally coupled with gravity. The introduction of the Proca field disrupts the formation of event horizons, ensuring that these solutions are globally regular throughout the spacetime. We obtain families of BPS solutions under several magnetic charge conditions. Based on these results, we further investigate the ADM mass, Noether charge, and energy density distribution of them. We find that when the magnetic charge is sufficiently large, solutions with a critical horizon $r_{cH}$ emerge as $ω\rightarrow 0$, and the time component of the metric approaches zero inside $r_{cH}$. To an observer at infinity, the collapse process of the matter near the critical horizon appears frozen. Consequently, we refer to the solution with $r_{cH}$ as the frozen Bardeen-Proca star (FBPS). Additionally, we also investigate the circular geodesic orbits of BPS. For the light ring, we find that the light rings always appear in pairs, located on both sides of the critical horizon and moving further apart as the frequency $ω$ decreases. For timelike circular orbits, we investigate their distribution in the spacetime of BPSs and highlight four representative families of BPS solutions.

Differential absorption ozone Lidar with 4H-SiC single-photon detectors

Differential absorption Lidar (DIAL) in the ultraviolet (UV) region is an effective approach for monitoring tropospheric ozone. 4H-SiC single-photon detectors (SPDs) are emergent devices for UV single-photon detection. Here, we demonstrate a 4H-SiC SPD-based ozone DIAL. We design and fabricate the 4H-SiC single-photon avalanche diode with a beveled mesa structure and optimized layer thickness. An active quenching circuit with a quenching time of 1.03 ns is developed to significantly mitigate the afterpulsing effect while enhancing the maximum count rate. After characterization, the SPD exhibits excellent performance with a photon detection efficiency of 16.6% at 266 nm, a dark count rate of 138 kcps, a maximum count rate of 13 Mcps, and an afterpulse probability of 2.7% at room temperature. Then, we apply two 4H-SiC SPDs in an ozone DIAL. The measured ozone concentrations at altitudes of 1-3.5 km agree well with the results of a commercial ozone DIAL. Our work provides an alternative solution for general UV Lidar applications.

Fine-Grained Controllable Apparel Showcase Image Generation via Garment-Centric Outpainting

In this paper, we propose a novel garment-centric outpainting (GCO) framework based on the latent diffusion model (LDM) for fine-grained controllable apparel showcase image generation. The proposed framework aims at customizing a fashion model wearing a given garment via text prompts and facial images. Different from existing methods, our framework takes a garment image segmented from a dressed mannequin or a person as the input, eliminating the need for learning cloth deformation and ensuring faithful preservation of garment details. The proposed framework consists of two stages. In the first stage, we introduce a garment-adaptive pose prediction model that generates diverse poses given the garment. Then, in the next stage, we generate apparel showcase images, conditioned on the garment and the predicted poses, along with specified text prompts and facial images. Notably, a multi-scale appearance customization module (MS-ACM) is designed to allow both overall and fine-grained text-based control over the generated model's appearance. Moreover, we leverage a lightweight feature fusion operation without introducing any extra encoders or modules to integrate multiple conditions, which is more efficient. Extensive experiments validate the superior performance of our framework compared to state-of-the-art methods.

Gate-Tunable Spin-to-Charge Conversion in Topological Insulator-Magnetic Insulator Heterostructures at Room Temperature

Over the past decade, topological insulators have received enormous attention for their potential in energy-efficient spin-to-charge conversion, enabled by strong spin-orbit coupling and spin-momentum locked surface states. Despite extensive research, the spin-to-charge conversion efficiency, usually characterized by the spin Hall angle (θSH), remains low at room temperature. In this work, we employed pulsed laser deposition to synthesize high-quality ternary topological insulators (Bi0.1Sb0.9)2Te3 thin films on magnetic insulator Y3Fe5O12. We find that the value of θSH reaches ~0.76 at room temperature and increases to ~0.9 as the Fermi level is tuned to cross topological surface states via electrical gating. Our findings provide an innovative approach to tailoring the spin-to-charge conversion in topological insulators and pave the way for their applications in energy-efficient spintronic devices.

Synthesis of layered gold tellurides AuSbTe and Au$_2$Te$_3$ and their semiconducting and metallic behavior

Previous studies on natural samples of pampaloite (AuSbTe) revealed the crystal structure of a potentially cleavable and/or exfoliable material, while studies on natural and synthetic montbrayite (Sb-containing Au$_2$Te$_3$) claimed various chemical compositions for this low symmetry compound. Few investigations of synthetic samples have been reported for both materials, leaving much of their chemical, thermal and electronic characteristics unknown. Here, we investigate the stability, electronic properties and synthesis of the gold antimony tellurides AuSbTe and Au$_{1.9}$Sb$_{0.46}$Te$_{2.64}$ (montbrayite). Differential thermal analysis and $\textit{in situ}$ powder x-ray diffraction revealed that AuSbTe is incongruently melting, while Au$_{1.9}$Sb$_{0.46}$Te$_{2.64}$ is congruently melting. Calculations of the band structures and four-point resistivity measurements showed that AuSbTe is a semiconductor and Au$_{1.9}$Sb$_{0.46}$Te$_{2.64}$ a metal. Various synthesis attempts confirmed the limited stable chemical composition of Au$_{1.9}$Sb$_{0.46}$Te$_{2.64}$, identified successful methods to synthesize both compounds, and highlighted the challenges associated with single crystal synthesis of AuSbTe.

Large Anomalous Hall Effect in a Noncoplanar Magnetic Heterostructure

The anomalous Hall effect (AHE) occurs in magnetic systems and also unexpectedly in non-magnetic materials adjacent to magnetic insulators via the heterointerface interactions. However, the AHE in heterostructures induced by magnetic proximity effect remains quite weak, restricting their practical device applications. Here, we report a large intrinsic AHE with a resistivity of 114 nΩ cm at 5 K in noncoplanar magnetic heterostructures of Cr5Te6/Pt. This is the record-high AHE value among all the magnetic insulators/heavy metal heterostructures. A reversal of the AHE signal occurs due to the reconstruction of Berry curvature at the Fermi level, which is verified by the first-principles calculations. Topological spin textures at the interface are directly visualized via high-magnetic-field magnetic force microscopy, which accounts for the large AHE, as confirmed by the atomic simulations. These findings open a new avenue for exploring the large AHE in heterointerfaces and facilitate the potential applications in topological spintronic devices.

Tailoring light holes in $β$-$Ga_{2}O_{3}$ via Anion-Anion Antibonding Coupling

A significant limitation of wide-bandgap materials is their low hole mobility related to localized holes with heavy effective masses ($m_h^*$). We identify in low-symmetric wide-bandgap compounds an anion-anion antibonding coupling (AAAC) effect as the intrinsic factor behind hole localization, which explains the extremely heavy $m_h^*$ and self-trapped hole (STH) formation observed in gallium oxide ($β$-$Ga_{2}O_{3}$). We propose a design principle for achieving light holes by manipulating AAAC, demonstrating that specific strain conditions can reduce $m_h^*$ in $β$-$Ga_{2}O_{3}$ from 4.77 $m_0$ to 0.38 $m_0$, making it comparable to the electron mass (0.28 $m_0$), while also slightly suppresses the formation of self-trapped holes, evidenced by the reduction in the formation energy of hole polarons from -0.57 eV to -0.45 eV under tensile strain. The light holes show significant anisotropy, potentially enabling two-dimensional transport in bulk material. This study provides a fundamental understanding of hole mass enhancement and STH formation in novel wide-bandgap materials and suggest new pathways for engineering hole mobilities.

Study on the efficiency droop in high-quality GaN material under high photoexcitation intensity

III-V nitride semiconductors, represented by GaN, have attracted significant research attention. Driven by the growing interest in smart micro-displays, there is a strong desire to achieve enhanced light output from even smaller light-emitting diode (LED) chips. However, the most perplexing phenomenon and the most significant challenge in the study of emission properties under high-injection conditions in GaN has always been efficiency droop for decades, where LEDs exhibit a substantial loss in efficiency at high driving currents. In this paper, we present our study on the intrinsic emission properties of high-quality GaN material based on the density of states and the principles of momentum conservation. Our theoretical calculations reveal a momentum distribution mismatch between the non-equilibrium excess electrons and holes, which becomes more significant as the carrier concentration increases. Our excitation-dependent photoluminescence measurements conducted at 6 K exhibited a clear droop for all exciton recombinations, but droop-free for phonon-assisted recombination due to phonons compensating for the momentum mismatch. These findings indicate that the momentum distribution mismatch between the non-equilibrium excess electrons and holes is one of the intrinsic causes of the efficiency droop, which originates from the intrinsic band properties of GaN. These results suggest that proper active region design aimed at reducing this mismatch will contribute to the development of ultra-highly efficient lighting devices in the future.

Enhanced optical performance of GaN Micro-light-emitting diodes with a single porous layer

High-efficiency micro-light-emitting diodes (Micro-LEDs) are key devices for next-generation display technology. However, when the mesa size is reduced to around tens of micrometers or less, the luminous efficiency is constrained by the "efficiency-on-size effect". This work details the fabrication of gallium nitride (GaN) based Micro-LEDs with various mesa shapes and a single porous layer under the active region. A modified green LED epitaxial structure with different doped n-GaN layers combined with electrochemical etching created the porous layer. The strong light confinement achieved by the porous layer and the polygonal mesa greatly enhances spontaneous emission. The luminous intensity of the Micro-LEDs with the porous layer is approximately 22 times greater than those Micro-LEDs without the porous layer. A significant reduction in minimum full width at half maximum (FWHM) was observed in polygonal devices, suggesting a change in the luminescence mechanism. The influence of varying device geometry on emission performance was investigated. Experimental results reveal that, unlike circular porous Micro-LEDs, square and hexagonal porous Micro-LEDs exhibit more pronounced resonant emission, which provides a new technological approach for the further development of high-performance Micro-LEDs and lasers.
