Primordial black holes formation in inflationary $F(R)$ models with scalar fields

We construct $F(R)$ gravity models with scalar fields to describe cosmological inflation and formation of primordial black holes (PBHs). By adding the induced gravity term and the fourth-order polynomial potential for the scalar field to the known $F(R)$ gravity model, and using a conformal transformation of the metric, we obtain a two-field chiral cosmological model. For some values of the model parameters, we get that the inflationary parameters of this model are in good agreement with the observations of the cosmic microwave background radiation obtained by the Atacama Cosmology Telescope. The estimation of PBH masses suggests that PBHs could be dark matter candidates.

Primordial Black Holes in Induced Gravity Inflationary Models with Two Scalar Fields

We propose a two-field inflationary model with the induced gravity term. Using conformal transformation of the metric, we get the chiral cosmological model with two scalar fields. We demonstrate that the constructed inflationary model does not contradict to the recent observation data and is suitable for primordial black hole (PBH) formation. The estimation of PBH masses allows to consider PBHs as dark matter candidates.

Integrable Cosmological Models with an Arbitrary Number of Scalar Fields

We consider cosmological models with an arbitrary number of scalar fields nonminimally coupled to gravity and construct new integrable cosmological models. In the constructed models, the Ricci scalar is an integral of motion irrespectively of the type of metric. The general solutions of evolution equations in the spatially flat FLRW metric have been found for models with the quartic potentials.

Superpotential method for $F(R)$ cosmological models

We construct the $F(R)$ gravity models with exact particular solutions using the conformal transformation and the superpotential method for the corresponding models in the Einstein frame. The functions $F(R)$ are obtained explicitly. We consider exact solutions for the obtained $R^2$ gravity model with the cosmological constant in detail.

Superpotential method for chiral cosmological models connected with modified gravity

We consider the Chiral Cosmological Models (CCMs) and modified gravity theories associated with them. Generalization of the superpotential method for a general CCM with several scalar fields is performed, and the method of construction CCMs admitting exact solutions is developed. New classes of exact solutions in the two-component CCM connected with an $f(R)$ gravity model with an additional scalar field have been constructed. We construct new cosmological solutions for a diagonal metric of the target space, including modified power-law solutions. In particular, we propose the reconstruction procedure based on the superpotential method and present examples of kinetic part reconstruction for periodic and hyperbolic Hubble parameters. We also focus on a cyclic type of Universe dubbed the Quasi-Steady State (QSS) model, with the aim of constructing single- and double-field potentials for one and the same behaviour of the Hubble parameter using the developed superpotential method for the CCM. The realization of this task includes a new set of solutions for a CCM with a scale factor characterized by the QSS theory. We also propose a method for reducing the two-field CCM to the single scalar field model.

De Sitter and Power-law Solutions in Non-local Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

The cosmological dynamics of a non-locally corrected gravity theory, involving a power of the inverse d'Alembertian, is investigated. Casting the dynamical equations into local form, the fixed points of the models are derived, as well as corresponding de Sitter and power-law solutions. Necessary and sufficient conditions on the model parameters for the existence of de Sitter solutions are obtained. The possible existence of power-law solutions is investigated, and it is proven that models with de Sitter solutions have no power-law solutions. A model is found, which allows to describe the matter-dominated phase of the Universe evolution.

The MSSM inflation and cosmological attractors

Inflationary scenarios motivated by the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) where five scalar fields are non-minimally coupled to gravity are considered. The potential of the model and the function of non-minimal coupling are polynomials of two Higgs doublet convolutions. We show that the use of the strong coupling approximation allows to obtain inflationary parameters in the case when a combination of the four scalar fields plays a role of inflaton. Numerical calculations show that the cosmological evolution leads to inflationary scenarios fully compatible with observational data for different values of the MSSM mixing angle $β$.

MSSM-inspired multifield inflation

Despite the fact that experimentally with a high degree of statistical significance only a single Standard Model--like Higgs boson is discovered at the LHC, extended Higgs sectors with multiple scalar fields not excluded by combined fits of the data are more preferable theoretically for internally consistent realistic models of particle physics. We analyze the inflationary scenarios which could be induced by the two-Higgs doublet potential of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) where five scalar fields have nonminimal couplings to gravity. Observables following from such MSSM-inspired multifield inflation are calculated and a number of consistent inflationary scenarios are constructed. Cosmological evolution with different initial conditions for the multifield system leads to consequences fully compatible with observational data on the spectral index and the tensor-to-scalar ratio. It is demonstrated that the strong coupling approximation is precise enough to describe such inflationary scenarios.

Induced gravity models with exact bounce solutions

We study dynamics of induced gravity cosmological models with the sixth degree polynomial potentials, that have been constructed using the superpotential method. We find conditions on the potential under which exact bounce solutions exist and study the stability of these solutions.

Renormalization-group improved inflationary scenarios

The possibility to construct an inflationary scenario for renormalization-group improved potentials corresponding to the Higgs sector of quantum field models is investigated. Taking into account quantum corrections to the renormalization-group potential which sums all leading logs of perturbation theory is essential for a successful realization of the inflationary scenario, with very reasonable parameters values. The scalar electrodynamics inflationary scenario thus obtained are seen to be in good agreement with the most recent observational data.

General solutions of integrable cosmological models with non-minimal coupling

We study the integrable model with minimally and non-minimally coupled scalar fields and the correspondence of their general solutions. Using the model with a minimally coupled scalar field and a the constant potential as an example we demonstrate the difference between the general solutions of the corresponding models in the Jordan and the Einstein frames.

Interdependence between integrable cosmological models with minimal and non-minimal coupling

We consider the relation between exact solutions of cosmological models having minimally and non-minimally coupled scalar fields. This is done for a particular class of solvable models which, in the Einstein frame, have potentials depending on hyperbolic functions and in the Jordan frame, where the non-minimal coupling is conformal, possess a relatively simple dynamics. We show that a particular model in this class can be generalized to the cases of closed and open Friedmann universes and still exhibits a simple dynamics. Further we illustrate the conditions for the existences of bounces in some sub-classes of the set of integrable models we have considered.

Renormalization-group inflationary scalar electrodynamics and SU(5) scenarios confronted with Planck2013 and BICEP2 results

The possibility to construct inflationary models for the renormalization-group improved potentials corresponding to scalar electrodynamics and to $SU(2)$ and $SU(5)$ models is investigated. In all cases, the tree-level potential, which corresponds to the cosmological constant in the Einstein frame, is seen to be non-suitable for inflation. Rather than adding the Hilbert-Einstein term to the action, quantum corrections to the potential, coming from to the RG-equation, are included. The inflationary scenario is analyzed with unstable de Sitter solutions which correspond to positive values of the coupling function, only. We show that, for the finite $SU(2)$ model and $SU(2)$ gauge model, there are no de Sitter solutions suitable for inflation, unless exit from it occurs according to some weird, non-standard scenarios. Inflation is realized both for scalar electrodynamics and for $SU(5)$ RG-improved potentials, and the corresponding values of the coupling function are seen to be positive. It is shown that, for quite reasonable values of the parameters, the inflationary models obtained both from scalar electrodynamics and from the $SU(5)$ RG-improved potentials, are in good agreement with the most recent observational data coming from the Planck2013 and BICEP2 collaborations.

Integrable cosmological models with non-minimally coupled scalar fields

We obtain general solutions for some flat Friedmann universes filled with a scalar field in induced gravity models and models including the Hilbert-Einstein curvature term plus a scalar field conformally coupled to gravity. As is well known, these models are connected to minimally coupled models through the combination of a conformal transformation and a transformation of the scalar field. The explicit forms of the self-interaction potentials for six exactly solvable models are presented here. We obtain the general solution for one of the integrable models, namely, the induced gravity model with a power-law potential for the self-interaction of the scalar field. We argue that although being mathematically in a one-to-one correspondence with the solutions in the minimally coupled models, the solutions in the corresponding non-minimally coupled models are physically different. This is because the cosmological evolutions seen by an internal observer connected with the cosmic time can be quite different. The study of a few induced gravity models with particular potentials gives us an explicit example of such a difference.

Non-minimally Coupled Cosmological Models with the Higgs-like Potentials and Negative Cosmological Constant

We study dynamics of non-minimally coupled scalar field cosmological models with Higgs-like potentials and a negative cosmological constant. In these models the inflationary stage of the Universe evolution changes into a quasi-cyclic stage of the Universe evolution with oscillation behaviour of the Hubble parameter from positive to negative values. Depending on the initial conditions the Hubble parameter can perform either one or several cycles before to become negative forever.

Reconstruction Procedure in Nonlocal Cosmological Models

A nonlocal gravity model is considered which does not assume the existence of a new dimensional parameter in the action and includes a function $f(\Box^{-1} R)$, with $\Box$ the d'Alembertian operator. Using a reconstruction procedure for the local scalar-tensor formulation of this model, a function f is obtained for which the model exhibits power-law solutions with the Hubble parameter $H=n/t$, for any value of the constant n. For generic n - namely except for a few special values which are characterized and also specifically studied - the corresponding function f is a sum of exponential functions. Corresponding power-law solutions are found explicitly. Also the case is solved in all detail of a function f such that the model contains both de Sitter and power-law solutions.
