Effect of Tensor Interaction in the Dirac-Attractive Radial Problem under Pseudospin Symmetry limit

We approximately investigated pseudospin symmetric solutions of the Dirac equation for attractive radial potential including a Coulomb-like tensor interaction under pseudospin symmetry limit for any spin-orbit quantum number . By using the parametric generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method, the energy eigenvalues equation and the corresponding wave functions have been obtained in closed forms. Some numerical results are also given. We presented tensor interaction removes degeneracy between two states in pseudospin doublets.

A quantum pseudodot system with two-dimensional pseudoharmonic potential under external magnetic and AB flux fields

Using the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method, the energy levels and the wave functions of an electron confined in a two-dimensional (2D) pseudoharmonic quantum dot are calculated under the influence of temperature and an external magnetic field inside dot and Aharonov-Bohm (AB) field inside a pseudodot. magnetic field and geometrical size of quantum pseudodot. The temperature dependence energy levels for GaAs semiconductor are also calculated. The exact solutions for energy eigenvalues and wave functions are computed as functions of the chemical potential parameters, applied magnetic field strength, AB flux field, magnetic quantum number and temperature. Analytical expression for the light interband absorption coefficient and absorption threshold frequency are found as functions of applied

Spinless particles with unequal Scalar-Vector Yukawa interactions

We present analytical solutions of the spin-zero Klein-Gordon (KG) bosons in the field of unequal mixture of scalar and vector Yukawa potential within the framework of the approximation to the centrifugal potential term for any arbitrary -state. The explicit forms of the energy bound states including energy spectra and unnormalized wave functions are obtained using a simple shortcut of the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. Our numerical tests using energy calculations demonstrate the existence of inter dimensional degeneracy amongst energy states of the present quantum system consisting of the KG-Yukawa problem. The dependence of the energy on the dimension is numerically discussed for

Pseudospin symmetry in the relativistic Killingbeck potential: quasi-exact solution

The Killingbeck potential consisting of the harmonic oscillator-plus-Cornell potential, is of great interest in high energy physics. The solution of Dirac equation with the Killingbeck potential is studied in the presence of the pseudospin (p-spin) symmetry within the context of the quasi-exact solutions. Two special cases of the harmonic oscillator and Coulomb potential are also discussed.

Effects of external fields on two-dimensional Klein-Gordon particle under pseudoharmonic oscillator interaction

We study the effects of the perpendicular magnetic and Aharonov-Bohm (AB) flux fields on the energy levels of a two-dimensional (2D) Klein-Gordon (KG) particle subjects to equal scalar and vector pseudo-harmonic oscillator (PHO). We calculate the exact energy eigenvalues and normalized wave functions in terms of chemical potential parameter, magnetic field strength, AB flux field and magnetic quantum number by means of the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. The non-relativistic limit, PHO and harmonic oscillator solutions in the existence and absence of external fields are also obtained.

Any J-state solution of the DKP equation for a vector deformed Woods-Saxon potential

By using the Pekeris approximation, the Duffin-Kemmer-Petiau (DKP) equation is investigated for a vector deformed Woods-Saxon (dWS) potential. The parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method is used in calculations. The approximate energy eigenvalue equation and the corresponding wave function spinor components are calculated for any total angular momentum J in closed form. The exact energy equation and wave function spinor components are also given for the J=0 case. We use a set of parameter values to obtain the numerical values for the energy states with various values of quantum levels (n,J) and potential's deformation constant q and width R.

Approximate L-State Solution of the Rotating Trigonometric Pöschl-Teller Potential

The trigonometric Pöschl-Teller (PT) potential describes the diatomic molecular vibration. We have obtained the approximate solutions of the radial Schrödinger equation (SE) for the rotating trigonometric PT potential using the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. The energy eigenvalues and their corresponding eigenfunctions are calculated for arbitrary -states in closed form. In the low screening region, when the screening parameter the potential reduces to Kratzer potential. Further, some numerical results are presented for several diatomic molecules.

Approximate bound states of the Dirac equation with some physical quantum potentials

The approximate analytical solutions of the Dirac equations with the reflectionless-type and Rosen-Morse potentials including the spin-orbit centrifugal (pseudo-centrifugal) term are obtained. Under the conditions of spin and pseudospin (pspin) symmetry concept, we obtain the bound state energy spectra and the corresponding two-component upper- and lower-spinors of the two Dirac particles by means of the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method in closed form. The special cases of the s-wave κ=\pm1 (l=l=0) Dirac equation and the non-relativistic limit of Dirac equation are briefly studied.

A nonpolynomial one-dimensional quantum potential in the form of an isotonic oscillator (harmonic oscillator with a centripetal barrier) is studied. We provide the non-relativistic bound state energy spectrum E_{n} and the wave functions ψ_{n}(x) in terms of the associated Laguerre polynomials in the framework of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. Under the spin and pseudospin symmetric limits, the analytic eigenvalues and the corresponding two-component upper- and lower-spinors of the Dirac particle are obtained, in closed form.

Two approximations to the bound states of Dirac-Hulthen problem

The bound state (energy spectrum and two-spinor wave functions) solutions of the Dirac equation with the Hulthen potential for all angular momenta based on the spin and pseudospin symmetry are obtained. The parametric generalization of the Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations. The orbital dependency (spin-orbit and pseudospin-orbit dependent coupling too singular 1/r^{2}) of the Dirac equation are included to the solution by introducing a more accurate approximation scheme to deal with the centrifugal (pseudo-centrifugal) term. The approximation is also made for the less singular 1/r orbital term in the Dirac equation for a wider energy spectrum. The nonrelativistic limits are also obtained on mapping of parameters.

A semirelativistic treatment of spinless particles subject to the Yukawa potential with arbitrary angular momenta

We obtain analytical solutions of the two-body spinless Salpeter (SS) equation with Yukawa potential within the conventional approximation scheme to the centrifugal term for any -state. The semi-relativistic bound state energy spectra and the corresponding normalized wave functions are calculated by means of the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. We also obtain the numerical energy spectrum of the SS equation without any approximation to centrifugal term for the same potential and compare them with the approximated numerical ones obtained from the analytical expressions. It is found that the exact numerical results are in good agreement with the approximated ones for the lower energy states. Special cases are treated like the nonrelativistic limit and the solution for the Coulomb problem.

Exact Solution of Dirac Equation with Charged Harmonic Oscillator in Electric Field: Bound States

In some quantum chemical applications, the potential models are linear combination of single exactly solvable potentials. This is the case equivalent of the Stark effect for a charged harmonic oscillator (HO) in a uniform electric field of specific strength (HO in an external dipole field). We obtain the exact s-wave solutions of the Dirac equation for some potential models which are linear combination of single exactly solvable potentials (ESPs). In the framework of the spin and pseudospin symmetric concept, we calculate the analytic energy spectrum and the corresponding two-component upper- and lower-spinors of the two Dirac particles by the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method, in a closed form. The nonrelativistic limit of the solution is also studied and compared with the other works.
