Radiative Corrections to the Light Muonic Atoms Decay Rate

Radiative corrections to the decay rate in the low-Z hydrogen-like muonic atoms are considered. The correction arises from the Uehling potential and it has the relative order of alpha. The numerical results are reported for the 2p-1s transition for the atom with the nuclear charge value up to Z=10.

Nuclear Structure-Dependent Radiative Corrections to the Hydrogen Hyperfine Splitting

Radiative corrections to the Zemach contribution of the hydrogen hyperfine splitting are calculated. Their contributions amount to $-0.63(3)$ ppm to the HFS. The radiative recoil corrections are estimated to be $0.09(3)$ ppm and heavy particle vacuum polarization shifts the HFS by $0.10(2)$ ppm. The status of the nuclear-dependent contributions are considered. From the comparison of theory and experiment the proton polarizability contribution of $3.5(9)$ ppm is found. The nuclear structure-dependent corrections to the difference $ν_{hfs}(1s) -n^3ν_{hfs}(ns)$ are also obtained.

The Lamb Shift of Excited S-Levels in Hydrogen and Deuterium Atoms

A specific combination of $s$-state Lamb shift $ΔE_L(1s_{1/2}) - n^3 ΔE_L(ns_{1/2})$ is considered. Its value is calculated both in the hydrogen and deuterium atoms for $n$ up to 12. The result inludes all correction which can contribute $1 kHz$ and particulary: one-loop self energy and vacuum polarization, two-loop contribution. Nuclear finite-size corrections for the isotopic difference of the combination are also evaluated.

The Lamb Shift of Hydrogen and Low-Energy Tests of QED

Leading logarithmic corrections to the difference of Lamb shifts of s-states $E_L(1s)-8E_L(2s)$ and to the life time of $2p_{1/2}$ state are considered. The result of Sokolov and Yakovlev for the Lamb splitting of $2s_{1/2}$ and $2p_{1/2}$ is re-evaluated and our new value is 1057.8576(21) MHz. Using value of $E_L(1s)-8E_L(2s)=$ -187.237(8) MHz, obtained here, a new value of the Hydrogen and Deuterium ground states using all recent measurements connected with 1s or 2s Lamb shifts. The highest precision value for the Hydrogen ground state is obtained from corrected result of Sokolov and Yakovlev experiment as 8172.934(22) MHz. The Deuterium result is $E_L(1s)-8E_L(2s)=$ -187.229(8) MHz, using it we obtain from the Garching experiment 8183.905(224) MHz. Some related topics are also considered. Taking into account nearest future result the fine structure constant problem are reviewed. Special attention is payed to Muonium hyperfine splitting, which it is done simillar to Lamb shift calculatuion for and to the neutron de Broglie's wave length measurements which also could lead to some connection between the Deuterium mass and the fine structure constant.

First Corrections to Hyperfine Splitting and Lamb Shift Induced by Diagrams with Two External Photons and Second Order Radiative Insertions in the Electron Line

Contributions to HFS and to the Lamb shift intervals of order $α^2(Zα)^5$ induced by graphs with two radiative photons inserted in the electron line are considered. It is demonstrated that this last gauge invariant set of diagrams which are capable of producing corrections of considered order consists of nineteen topologically different diagrams. Contributions both to HFS and Lamb shift induced by graphs containing one-loop electron self-energy as a subgraph and also by the graph containing two one-loop vertices are obtained.
