Diffusion and Self-Organized Criticality in Ricci Flow Evolution of Einstein and Finsler Spaces

Imposing non-integrable constraints on Ricci flows of (pseudo) Riemannian metrics we model mutual transforms to, and from, non-Riemannian spaces. Such evolutions of geometries and physical theories can be modelled for nonholonomic manifolds and vector/ tangent bundles enabled with fundamental geometric objects determining Lagrange-Finsler and/or Einstein spaces. Prescribing corresponding classes of generating functions, we construct different types of stochastic, fractional, nonholonomic etc models of evolution for nonlinear dynamical systems, exact solutions of Einstein equations and/or Lagrange-Finsler configurations. The main result of this paper consists in a proof of existence of unique and positive solutions of nonlinear diffusion equations which can be related to stochastic solutions in gravity and Ricci flow theory. This allows us to formulate stochastic modifications of Perelman's functionals and prove the main theorems for stochastic Ricci flow evolution. We show that nonholonomic Ricci flow diffusion can be with self-organized critical behavior, for gravitational and Lagrange-Finsler systems, and that a statistical/ thermodynamic analogy to stochastic geometric evolution can be formulated.

Fractional Almost Kahler - Lagrange Geometry

The goal of this paper is to encode equivalently the fractional Lagrange dynamics as a nonholonomic almost Kahler geometry. We use the fractional Caputo derivative generalized for nontrivial nonlinear connections (N-connections) originally introduced in Finsler geometry, with further developments in Lagrange and Hamilton geometry and, in our approach, with fractional derivatives. For fundamental geometric objects induced canonically by regular Lagrange functions, we construct compatible almost symplectic forms and linear connections completely determined by a "prime" Lagrange (in particular, Finsler) generating function. We emphasize the importance of such constructions for deformation quantization of fractional Lagrange geometries and applications in modern physics.

Fractional Analogous Models in Mechanics and Gravity Theories

We briefly review our recent results on the geometry of nonholonomic manifolds and Lagrange--Finsler spaces and fractional calculus with Caputo derivatives. Such constructions are used for elaborating analogous models of fractional gravity and fractional Lagrange mechanics.

Fractional Exact Solutions and Solitons in Gravity

We survay our recent results on fractional gravity theory. It is also provided the Main Theorem on encoding of geometric data (metrics and connections in gravity and geometric mechanics) into solitonic hierarchies. Our approach is based on Caputo fractional derivative and nonlinear connection formalism.

Fedosov Quantization of Fractional Lagrange Spaces

The main goal of this work is to perform a nonolonomic deformation (Fedosov type) quantization of fractional Lagrange geometries. The constructions are provided for a (fractional) almost Kahler model encoding equivalently all data for fractional Euler-Lagrange equations with Caputo fractional derivative. For homogeneous generating Finsler functions, the geometric models contain quantum versions of fractional Finsler spaces. The scheme can be generalized for fractional Hamilton systems and various models of fractional classical and quantum gravity. We conclude that the approach with Caputo fractional derivative allows us to geometrize both classical and quantum (Fedosov type) fractional regular Lagrange interactions.

Critical Remarks on Finsler Modifications of Gravity and Cosmology by Zhe Chang and Xin Li

I do not agree with the authors of papers arXiv:0806.2184 and arXiv:0901.1023v1 (published in Phys. Lett., respectively, B668 (2008) 453 and B676 (2009) 173). They consider that \textit{"In Finsler manifold, there exists a unique linear connection - the Chern connection ... It is torsion freeness and metric compatibility ... "}. There are well known results (for example, presented in monographs by H. Rund and R. Miron and M. Anastasiei) that in Finsler geometry there exist an infinite number of linear connections defined by the same metric structure and that the Chern and Berwald connections \textbf{are not metric compatible.} For instance, the Chern's one (being with zero torsion and "weak" compatibility on the base manifold of tangent bundle) is not generally compatible with the metric structure on total space. This results in a number of additional difficulties and sophistication in definition of Finsler spinors and Dirac operators and in additional problems with further generalizations for quantum gravity and noncommutative/string/brane/gauge theories. I conclude that standard physics theories can be generalized naturally by gravitational and matter field equations for the Cartan and/or any other Finsler metric compatible connections. This allows us to construct more realistic models of Finsler spacetimes, anisotropic field interactions and cosmology.

Nonholonomic Black Ring and Solitonic Solutions in Finsler and Extra Dimension Gravity Theories

We study stationary configurations mimicking nonholonomic locally anisotropic black rings (for instance, with ellipsoidal polarizations and/or imbedded into solitonic backgrounds) in three/six dimensional pseudo-Finsler/ Riemannian spacetimes. In the asymptotically flat limit, for holonomic configurations, a subclass of such spacetimes contains the set of five dimensional black ring solutions with regular rotating event horizon. For corresponding parameterizations, the metrics and connections define Finsler-Einstein geometries modeled on tangent bundles, or on nonholonomic (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds. In general, there are vacuum nonholonomic gravitational configurations which can not be generated in the limit of zero cosmological constant.

Einstein Gravity as a Nonholonomic Almost Kahler Geometry, Lagrange-Finsler Variables, and Deformation Quantization

A geometric procedure is elaborated for transforming (pseudo) Riemanian metrics and connections into canonical geometric objects (metric and nonlinear and linear connections) for effective Lagrange, or Finsler, geometries which, in their turn, can be equivalently represented as almost Kahler spaces. This allows us to formulate an approach to quantum gravity following standard methods of deformation quantization. Such constructions are performed not on tangent bundles, as in usual Finsler geometry, but on spacetimes enabled with nonholonomic distributions defining 2+2 splitting with associate nonlinear connection structure. We also show how the Einstein equations can be redefined in terms of Lagrange-Finsler variables and corresponding almost symplectic structures and encoded into the zero-degree cohomology coefficient for a quantum model of Einstein manifolds.

Fractional Dynamics from Einstein Gravity, General Solutions, and Black Holes

We study the fractional gravity for spacetimes with non-integer dimensions. Our constructions are based on a geometric formalism with the fractional Caputo derivative and integral calculus adapted to nonolonomic distributions. This allows us to define a fractional spacetime geometry with fundamental geometric/physical objects and a generalized tensor calculus all being similar to respective integer dimension constructions. Such models of fractional gravity mimic the Einstein gravity theory and various Lagrange-Finsler and Hamilton-Cartan generalizations in nonholonomic variables. The approach suggests a number of new implications for gravity and matter field theories with singular, stochastic, kinetic, fractal, memory etc processes. We prove that the fractional gravitational field equations can be integrated in very general forms following the anholonomic deformation method for constructing exact solutions. Finally, we study some examples of fractional black hole solutions, fractional ellipsoid gravitational configurations and imbedding of such objects in fractional solitonic backgrounds.

Fractional Nonholonomic Ricci Flows

We formulate the fractional Ricci flow theory for (pseudo) Riemannian geometries enabled with nonholonomic distributions defining fractional integro-differential structures, for non-integer dimensions. There are constructed fractional analogs of Perelman's functionals and derived the corresponding fractional evolution (Hamilton's) equations. We apply in fractional calculus the nonlinear connection formalism originally elaborated in Finsler geometry and generalizations and recently applied to classical and quantum gravity theories. There are also analyzed the fractional operators for the entropy and fundamental thermodynamic values.

Finsler Black Holes Induced by Noncommutative Anholonomic Distributions in Einstein Gravity

We study Finsler black holes induced from Einstein gravity as possible effects of quantum spacetime noncommutativity. Such Finsler models are defined by nonholonomic frames not on tangent bundles but on (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds being compatible with standard theories of physics. We focus on noncommutative deformations of Schwarzschild metrics into locally anisotropic stationary ones with spherical/rotoid symmetry. There are derived the conditions when black hole configurations can be extracted from two classes of exact solutions depending on noncommutative parameters. The first class of metrics is defined by nonholonomic deformations of the gravitational vacuum by noncommutative geometry. The second class of such solutions is induced by noncommutative matter fields and/or effective polarizations of cosmological constants.

On General Solutions for Field Equations in Einstein and Higher Dimension Gravity

We prove that the Einstein equations can be solved in a very general form for arbitrary spacetime dimensions and various types of vacuum and non-vacuum cases following a geometric method of anholonomic frame deformations for constructing exact solutions in gravity. The main idea of this method is to introduce on (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds an alternative (to the Levi-Civita connection) metric compatible linear connection which is also completely defined by the same metric structure. Such a canonically distinguished connection is with nontrivial torsion which is induced by some nonholonomy frame coefficients and generic off-diagonal terms of metrics. It is possible to define certain classes of adapted frames of reference when the Einstein equations for such an alternative connection transform into a system of partial differential equations which can be integrated in very general forms. Imposing nonholonomic constraints on generalized metrics and connections and adapted frames (selecting Levi-Civita configurations), we generate exact solutions in Einstein gravity and extra dimension generalizations.

Nonholomic Distributions and Gauge Models of Einstein Gravity

For (2+2)-dimensional nonholonomic distributions, the physical information contained into a spacetime (pseudo) Riemannian metric can be encoded equivalently into new types of geometric structures and linear connections constructed as nonholonomic deformations of the Levi-Civita connection. Such deformations and induced geometric/physical objects are completely determined by a prescribed metric tensor. Reformulation of the Einstein equations in nonholonomic variables (tetrads and new connections, for instance, with constant coefficient curvatures and/or Yang-Mills like potentials) reveals hidden geometric and rich quantum structures. It is shown how the Einstein gravity theory can be re-defined equivalently as certain gauge models on nonholonomic affine and/or de Sitter frame bundles. We speculate on possible applications of the geometry of nonholonomic distributions with associated nonlinear connections in classical and quantum gravity.

Two-Connection Renormalization and Nonholonomic Gauge Models of Einstein Gravity

A new framework to perturbative quantum gravity is proposed following the geometry of nonholonomic distributions on (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds. There are considered such distributions and adapted connections, also completely defined by a metric structure, when gravitational models with infinite many couplings reduce to two--loop renormalizable effective actions. We use a key result from our partner work arXiv:0902.0911 that the classical Einstein gravity theory can be reformulated equivalently as a nonholonomic gauge model in the bundle of affine/de Sitter frames on pseudo-Riemannian spacetime. It is proven that (for a class of nonholonomic constraints and splitting of the Levi-Civita connection into a "renormalizable" distinguished connection, on a base background manifold, and a gauge like distortion tensor, in total space) a nonholonomic differential renormalization procedure for quantum gravitational fields can be elaborated. Calculation labor is reduced to one- and two-loop levels and renormalization group equations for nonholonomic configurations.

Spectral Functionals, Nonholonomic Dirac Operators, and Noncommutative Ricci Flows

We formulate a noncommutative generalization of the Ricci flow theory in the framework of spectral action approach to noncommutative geometry. Grisha Perelman's functionals are generated as commutative versions of certain spectral functionals defined by nonholonomic Dirac operators and corresponding spectral triples. We derive the formulas for spectral averaged energy and entropy functionals and state the conditions when such values describe (non)holonomic Riemannian configurations.

Nonholonomic Ricci Flows and Parametric Deformations of the Solitonic pp--Waves and Schwarzschild Solutions

We study Ricci flows of some classes of physically valuable solutions in Einstein and string gravity. The anholonomic frame method is applied for generic off-diagonal metric ansatz when the field/ evolution equations are transformed into exactly integrable systems of partial differential equations. The integral varieties of such solutions, in four and five dimensional gravity, depend on arbitrary generation and integration functions of one, two and/ or three variables. Certain classes of nonholonomic frame constraints allow us to select vacuum and/or Einstein metrics, to generalize such solutions for nontrivial string (for instance, with antisymmetric torsion fields) and matter field sources. A very important property of this approach (originating from Finsler and Lagrange geometry but re-defined for semi-Riemannian spaces) is that new classes of exact solutions can be generated by nonholonomic deformations depending on parameters associated to some generalized Geroch transforms and Ricci flow evolution. In this paper, we apply the method to construct in explicit form some classes of exact solutions for multi-parameter Einstein spaces and their nonholonomic Ricci flows describing evolutions/ interactions of solitonic pp-waves and deformations of the Schwarzschild metric. We explore possible physical consequences and speculate on their importance in modern gravity.

Branes and Quantization for an A-Model Complexification of Einstein Gravity in Almost Kahler Variables

The general relativity theory is redefined equivalently in almost Kahler variables: symplectic form and canonical symplectic connection (distorted from the Levi-Civita connection by a tensor constructed only from metric coefficients and their derivatives). The fundamental geometric and physical objects are uniquely determined in metric compatible form by a (pseudo) Riemannian metric on a manifold enabled with a necessary type nonholonomic 2+2 distribution. Such nonholonomic symplectic variables allow us to formulate the problem of quantizing Einstein gravity in terms of the A-model complexification of almost complex structures on spacetime manifold, generalizing the Gukov-Witten method, see arXiv:0809.0305. Quantizing the complexified model, we derive a Hilbert space as a space of strings with two A-branes which for the Einstein gravity theory are nonholonomic because of induced nonlinear connection structures. Finally, we speculate on relation of such a method of quantization to curve flows and solitonic hierarchies defined by Einstein metrics on (pseudo) Riemannian spacetimes.

Nonholonomic Ricci Flows: Exact Solutions and Gravity

In a number of physically important cases, the nonholonomically (nonintegrable) constrained Ricci flows can be modelled by exact solutions of Einstein equations with nonhomogeneous (anisotropic) cosmological constants. We develop two geometric methods for constructing such solutions: The first approach applies the formalism of nonholonomic frame deformations when the gravitational evolution and field equations transform into systems of nonlinear partial differential equations which can be integrated in general form. The second approach develops a general scheme when one (two) parameter families of exact solutions are defined by any source-free solutions of Einstein's equations with one (two) Killing vector field(s). A successive iteration procedure results in a class of solutions characterized by an infinite number of parameters for a non-Abelian group involving arbitrary functions on one variable. We also consider nonlinear superpositions of some mentioned classes of solutions in order to construct more general integral varieties of the Ricci flow and Einstein equations depending on infinite number of parameters and three/ four coordinates on four/ five dimensional (semi) Riemannian spaces.
