Systematics of fully heavy dibaryons

We systematically study the mass spectra of the fully heavy dibaryons in an extended chromomagnetic model, which includes both the colorelectric and chromomagnetic interactions. We find no stable state below the corresponding baryon-baryon thresholds. Besides the masses, we also estimate the relative width ratios of the two-body decay channels. We hope our study will be of help for future experiments.

Unified description of the $Qs \bar q \bar q$ molecular bound states, molecular resonances and compact tetraquark states in the quark potential model

We calculate the mass spectrum of the $Qs\bar q \bar q$ $(Q=c, b)$ tetraquark states with $J^P=(0,1,2)^+$ using the AL1 quark potential model, which successfully describes the conventional hadron spectrum. We employ the Gaussian expansion method to solve the four-body Schrödinger equation, and use the complex scaling method to identify the resonances. With the notation $T_{Q s, I(J)}^{\text {Theo. }}(M)$, we find several near-threshold bound states and resonances, including $T_{cs,0(0)}^{\mathrm{Theo.}}(2350)$, $T_{cs,0(0)}^{\mathrm{Theo.}}(2906)$, $T_{bs,0(0)}^{\mathrm{Theo.}}(5781)$, $T_{bs,0(1)}^{\mathrm{Theo.}}(5840)$, and $T_{bs,0(0)}^{\mathrm{Theo.}}(6240)$ which are close to the $D\bar{K}$, $D^*\bar{K}^*$, $\bar{B}\bar{K}$, $\bar{B}^*\bar{K}$ and $\bar{B}^*\bar{K}^*$ thresholds, respectively. Furthermore, their spatial structures clearly support their molecular natures. The resonance $T_{cs,0(0)}^{\mathrm{Theo.}}(2906)$ has a mass of $2906$ MeV, a width of $20$ MeV, and quantum numbers $I(J^P)=0(0^+)$, which may serve as a good candidate for the experimental $T_{cs0}(2900)$ state. We strongly urge the experimental search of the predicted states.

Spectrum of the molecular tetraquarks: Unraveling the $T_{cs0}(2900)$ and $T_{c\bar{s}0}^a(2900)$

We relate the interactions of the $\bar{D}^{(\ast)} K^\ast$ and $D^{(\ast)} K^\ast$ systems to those of $D^{(\ast)}D^{(\ast)}$ and $D^{(\ast)}\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$ respectively, considering the residual strong interactions at the near-threshold energy is too weak to excite the strange quarks inside the hadrons. We propose an effective model to describe the low-energy S-wave interactions that are undertaken by the light $u$, $d$ quarks between two separated heavy hadrons. We find that the existence of molecules in the heavy-(anti)heavy sectors will naturally lead to the emergence of molecular states in $\bar{D}^{(\ast)} K^\ast$ and $D^{(\ast)} K^\ast$ systems. The recently observed $T_{cs0}(2900)$ and $T_{c\bar{s}0}^a(2900)$ can be well identified as the $0(0^+)$ and $1(0^+)$ partners of $T_{cc}(3875)$ and $Z_c(3900)$ in the charmed strange sector, respectively. We also predict their members under the {\it heavy} ($c$ and $s$) quark symmetry and SU(2) flavor symmetry. Most of them are very good molecule candidates, for example, (i) the $0(1^+)$ states in $D^\ast D^\ast$, $\bar{D}K^\ast$, $\bar{D}^\ast K^\ast$; (ii) the $0^{(+)}(2^{+(+)})$ states in $D^\ast \bar{D}^\ast$, $\bar{D}^\ast K^\ast$, $D^\ast K^\ast$; (iii) the $1^-(0^{++})$ state in $D^\ast\bar{D}^\ast$ and $1(1^+)$ state in $D^\ast K^\ast$. The $0^+(0^{++})$ state in $D\bar{D}$ and the $0(1^+)$ state in $DK^\ast$ might also exist as virtual states, and the $0(1^+)$ $DK^\ast$ can serve as a key to infer the existence of $0^+(0^{++})$ $D\bar{D}$. The $D_sπ$ invariant mass spectrum of $T_{c\bar{s}0}^a(2900)$ is also studied within the coupled-channel approach, and the molecular interpretation of $T_{c\bar{s}0}^a(2900)$ is consistent with the experimental data. Searching for the predicted states in experiments is crucial to discriminate the different pictures for interpreting these near-threshold exotica.

Double-gluon charmonium hybrid states with various (exotic) quantum numbers

We study the double-gluon charmonium hybrid states with various quantum numbers, each of which is composed of one valence charm quark and one valence charm antiquark as well as two valence gluons. We concentrate on the exotic quantum numbers $J^{PC} =0^{--}/0^{+-}/1^{-+}/2^{+-}/3^{-+}$ that the conventional $\bar q q$ mesons can not reach. We apply the QCD sum rule method to calculate their masses to be $7.28^{+0.38}_{-0.43}$ GeV, $5.19^{+0.36}_{-0.46}$ GeV, $5.46^{+0.41}_{-0.62}$ GeV, $4.48^{+0.25}_{-0.31}$ GeV, and $5.54^{+0.35}_{-0.43}$ GeV, respectively. We study their possible decay patterns and propose to search for the $J^{PC}=2^{+-}/3^{-+}$ states in the $D^*\bar D^{(*)}/D^{*}_s \bar D^{(*)}_s/Σ_c^* \bar Σ_c^{(*)}/Ξ_c^* \bar Ξ_c^{(\prime,*)}$ channels. Experimental investigations on these states and decay channels can be useful in classifying the nature of the hybrid state, thus serving as a direct test of QCD in the low energy sector.

Tetraquark bound states in constituent quark models: benchmark test calculations

We investigate the tetraquark bound states that are manifestly exotic using three distinct few-body methods: Gaussian Expansion Method (GEM), Resonating Group Method (RGM), and Diffusion Monte Carlo (DMC). We refer to manifestly exotic states that do not involve a mixture with the conventional mesons through the creation and annihilation of $n\bar{n}$, where $n=u, d$. Our calculations are conducted with two types of quark models: the pure constituent quark model featuring one-gluon-exchange interactions and confinement interactions, and the chiral constituent quark model, supplemented by extra one-boson-exchange interactions. This study represents a comprehensive benchmark test of various few-body methods and quark models. Our findings reveal the superiority of GEM over RGM and DMC methods based on present implements for the tetraquark bound states. Additionally, we observe a tendency for the chiral quark model to overestimate the binding energies. We systematically explore the fully, triply, doubly, and singly heavy tetraquark states with $J^P=0^+,1^+,2^+$, encompassing over 150 states in total. We successfully identify several bound states, including $[cc\bar{n}\bar{n}]_{J^{P}=1^{+}}^{I=0}$, $[bb\bar{n}\bar{n}]_{J^{P}=1^{+}}^{I=0}$, $[bc\bar{n}\bar{n}]_{J^{P}=0^{+},1^{+},2^{+}}^{I=0}$, $[bs\bar{n}\bar{n}]_{J^{P}=0^{+},1^{+}}^{I=0}$, $[cs\bar{n}\bar{n}]_{J^{P}=0^{+}}^{I=0}$, and $[bb\bar{n}\bar{s}]_{J^{P}=1^{+}}$, all found to be bound states below the dimeson thresholds.

Cut structures and an observable singularity in the three-body threshold dynamics: the $T_{cc}^+$ case

The three-body threshold effect, the distinctive and intriguing non-perturbative dynamics in the low-energy hadron-hadron scattering, has acquired compelling significance in the wake of the recent observation of the double-charm tetraquark $T_{cc}^+$. This dynamics is characterized by the emergence of singular points and branch cuts within the interaction potential, occurring when the on-shell condition of the mediated particle is satisfied. The presence of these potential singularities indicates that the system is no longer Hermitian and also poses intractable challenges in obtaining exact solutions for dynamical scattering amplitudes. In this work, we develop a complex scaled Lippmann-Schwinger equation as an operation of analytical continuation of the $T$ matrix to resolve this problem. Through a practical application to the $DD^* \to DD^*$ process, we reveal complicated cut structures of the three-body threshold dynamics in the complex plane, primarily stemming from the one-pion exchange. Notably, our methodology succeeds in reproducing the $T_{cc}^+$ structure, in alignment with the quasi-bound pole derived from the complex scaling method within the Schrödinger equation framework. More remarkably, after solving the on-shell $T$ matrix on the positive real axis of momentum plane, we find an extra new structure in the $DD^*$ mass spectrum, which arises from a right-hand cut at a physical pion mass and should be observable in Lattice QCD simulations and future high-energy experiments.

$T_{cc}^+$ and $X(3872)$ with the complex scaling method and $DD(\bar{D})π$ three-body effect

We use the leading order (LO) contact interactions and OPE potentials to investigate the newly observed double-charm state $T_{cc}^+$. The $DDπ$ three-body effect is important in this system since the intermediate states can go on shell. We keep the dependence of the pion propagators on the center-of-mass energy, which results in a unitary cut of the OPE potential at the $DDπ$ three-body threshold. By solving the complex scaled Schrödinger equation, we find a pole corresponding to the $T_{cc}^+$ on the physical Riemann sheet. Its width is around 80 keV and nearly independent of the choice of the cutoff. Assuming the $D\bar{D}π$ and $D\bar{D}^*$ channels as the main decay channels, we apply the similar calculations to the $X(3872)$, and find its width is even smaller. Besides, the isospin breaking effect is significant for the $X(3872)$ while its impact on the $T_{cc}^+$ is relatively small.

Light double-gluon hybrid states with the exotic quantum numbers $J^{PC} = 1^{-+}$ and $3^{-+}$

We apply the QCD sum rule method to study the double-gluon hybrid states with the quark-gluon contents $\bar q q gg$ ($q=u/d$) and $\bar s s gg$. We construct twenty-eight double-gluon hybrid currents, eleven of which are found to be zero due to some internal symmetries between the two gluons fields. We concentrate on the non-vanishing currents with the exotic quantum numbers $J^{PC} = 1^{-+}$ and $3^{-+}$. Their masses are calculated to be $M_{|\bar q q gg;1^{-+}\rangle} = 4.35^{+0.26}_{-0.30}$ GeV, $M_{|\bar s s gg;1^{-+}\rangle} = 4.49^{+0.25}_{-0.30}$ GeV, $M_{|\bar q q gg;3^{-+}\rangle} = 3.02^{+0.24}_{-0.31}$ GeV, and $M_{|\bar s s gg;3^{-+}\rangle} = 3.16^{+0.22}_{-0.28}$ GeV. The decay behaviors of the $J^{PC} = 3^{-+}$ states are studied, and we propose to search for them in the $πa_1(1260)/ρω/ϕϕ$ channels in future particle experiments.

$P_c$ states and their open-charm decays with the complex scaling method

A partial width formula is proposed using the analytical extension of the wave function in momentum space. The distinction of the Riemann sheets is explained from the perspective of the Schrodinger equation. The analytical form in coordinate space and the partial width are derived subsequently. Then a coupled-channel analysis is performed to investigate the open-charm branching ratios of the $P_c$ states, involving the contact interactions and one-pion-exchange potential with the three-body effects. The low energy constants are fitted using the experimental masses and widths as input. The $P_c(4312)$ is found to decay mainly to $Λ_c\bar{D}^*$, while the branching ratios of the $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ in different channels are comparable. Under the reasonable assumption that the off-diagonal contact interactions are small, the $J^P$ quantum numbers of the $P_c(4440)$ and the $P_c(4457)$ prefer $\frac{1}{2}^-$ and $\frac{3}{2}^-$ respectively. Three additional $P_c$ states at 4380 MeV, 4504 MeV and 4516 MeV, together with their branching ratios, are predicted. A deduction of the revised one-pion-exchange potential involving the on-shell three-body intermediate states is performed.

$Z_{cs}$, $Z_c$ and $Z_b$ states under the complex scaling method

We investigate the $Z_b$, $Z_c$ and $Z_{cs}$ states within the chiral effective field theory framework and the $S$-wave single channel molecule picture. With the complex scaling method, we accurately solve the Schrödinger equation in momentum space. Our analysis reveals that the $Z_b(10610)$, $Z_b(10650)$, $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_c(4020)$ states are the resonances composed of the $S-$wave $(B\bar{B}^{*}+B^{*}\bar{B})/\sqrt{2}$, $B^{*}\bar{B}^*$, $(D\bar{D}^{*}+D^{*}\bar{D})/\sqrt{2}$ and $D^{*}\bar{D}^*$, respectively. Furthermore, although the $Z_{cs}(3985)$ and $Z_{cs}(4000)$ states exhibit a significant difference in width, these two resonances may originate from the same channel, the $S-$wave $(D_{s}\bar{D}^{*}+D_{s}^{*}\bar{D})/\sqrt{2}$. Additionally, we find two resonances in the $S-$wave $D_s^*\bar{D}^*$ channel, corresponding to the $Z_{cs}(4123)$ and $Z_{cs}(4220)$ states that await experimental confirmation.

Chiral perturbation theory for heavy hadrons and chiral effective field theory for heavy hadronic molecules

Chiral symmetry and its spontaneous breaking play an important role both in the light hadron and heavy hadron systems. The chiral perturbation theory ($χ$PT) is the low energy effective field theory of the QCD. In this work, we shall review the investigations on the chiral corrections to the properties of the heavy mesons and baryons within the framework of $χ$PT. We will also review the scatterings of the light pseudoscalar mesons and heavy hadrons, through which many new resonances such as the $D_{s0}^\ast(2317)$ could be understood. Moreover, many new hadron states were observed experimentally in the past decades. A large group of these states is near-threshold resonances, such as the charged charmoniumlike $Z_c$ and $Z_{cs}$ states, bottomoniumlike $Z_b$ states, hidden-charm pentaquark $P_c$ and $P_{cs}$ states and the doubly charmed $T_{cc}$ state, etc. They are very good candidates of the loosely bound molecular states composed of a pair of charmed (bottom) hadrons, which are very similar to the loosely bound deuteron. The modern nuclear force was built upon the chiral effective field theory ($χ$EFT), which is the extension of the $χ$PT to the systems with two matter fields. The long-range and medium-long-range interactions between two nucleons arise from the single- and double-pion exchange respectively, which are well constrained by the chiral symmetry and its spontaneous breaking. The short-distance interactions can be described by the low energy constants. Such a framework works very well for the nucleon-nucleon scattering and nuclei. In this work, we will perform an extensive review of the progress on the heavy hadronic molecular states within the framework of $χ$EFT. We shall emphasize that the same chiral dynamics not only govern the nuclei and forms the deuteron, but also dictates the shallow bound states or resonances composed of two heavy hadrons.

The $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψπγ$ and $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψππγ$ decays

We study the $ρ$ and $ω$ meson contribution to the radiative decays $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψπγ$ and $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψππγ$. The $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψπγ$ is dominated by the $ω$ meson. As for the $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψππγ$, the contributions of the cascade decays through the $ρ$ and $ω$ mesons are strongly suppressed with respect to the diagrams which proceed either through the $ψ(2S)$ or the three body decay of $ρ$. The branching ratios of $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψπγ$ and $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψππγ$ are $(8.10^{+3.50}_{-2.88})\times10^{-3}$ and $(2.38\pm1.06)\%$, which may be accessible by the BESIII and LHCb Collaborations. Especailly, the $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψπγ$ and $X(3872)\rightarrow J/ψπ^+π^- γ$ decays can be employed to extract the couplings $g_{Xψω}$ and $g_{Xψρ}$, which probe the isoscalar and isovector components of the X(3872) wave function respectively.

Ground state baryons in the flux-tube three-body confinement model using Diffusion Monte Carlo

We make a systematical diffusion Monte Carlo (DMC) calculation for all ground state baryons in two confinement scenarios, the pairwise confinement and the three-body flux-tube confinement. With the baryons as an example, we illustrate a feasible procedure to investigate the few-quark states with possible few-body confinement mechanisms, which can be extended to the multiquark states easily. For each baryon, we extract the mass, mean-square radius, charge radius, and the quark distributions. We use the Jackknife resampling method to estimate the statistical uncertainties of masses to be less than 1 MeV. To determine the baryon charge radii, we include the constituent quark size effect, which is fixed by the experimental and lattice QCD results. Our results show that both two-body and three-body confinement mechanisms can give a good description of the experimental data if the parameters are chosen properly. In the flux-tube confinement, introducing different tension parameters for the baryons and mesons are necessary, specifically, $σ_Y= 0.9204 σ_{Q\bar{Q}}$. The lesson from the calculation of the nucleon mass with the DMC method is that the improper pre-assignment of the channels may prevent us from obtaining the real ground state. With this experience, we obtain the real ground state (the $η_c η_c$ threshold with the di-meson configuration) of the $cc\bar{c}\bar{c}$ system with $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ starting from the diquark-antidiquark spin-color channels alone, which is hard to achieve in the variational method and was not obtained in the previous DMC calculations.

Phase shifts of the light pseudoscalar meson and heavy meson scattering in heavy meson chiral perturbation theory

We calculate the complete $T$ matrices of the elastic light pseudoscalar meson and heavy meson scattering to the third order in heavy meson chiral perturbation theory. We determine the low-energy constants by fitting the phase shifts and scattering lengths from lattice QCD simulations simultaneously and predict the phase shifts at the physical meson masses. The phase shifts in the $Dπ(I=1/2)$, $DK(I=0)$, $D\bar{K}(I=0)$, $D_s\bar{K}$, $Dη$ and $D_sη$ $S$ waves are so strong that bound states or resonances may be generated dynamically in all these channels. The $DK(I=0)$ channel corresponds to the well-known exotic state $D_{s0}^{*}(2317)$. The $DK(I=0)$ channel corresponds to the well-known exotic state $D_{s0}^{*}(2317)$. The coupled-channel $Dπ$, $Dη$ and $D_s\bar{K}$ scattering corresponds to $D_{0}^{*}(2400)$. The coupled-channel $Dπ$, $Dη$ and $D_s\bar{K}$ scattering corresponds to $D_{0}^{*}(2400)$. We also predict the scattering lengths and scattering volumes and observe good convergence in the scattering volumes. Our calculations provide a possibility to accurately investigate the exotic state in the light pseudoscalar meson and heavy meson interactions.

Light double-gluon hybrid states from QCD sum rules

We study the double-gluon hybrid states with the quark-gluon contents $\bar q q gg$ ($q=u/d$) and $\bar s s gg$. We construct twelve double-gluon hybrid currents with various quantum numbers, five of which are found to be zero due to some internal symmetries between the two gluon fields. We use the rest seven currents to perform QCD sum rule analyses. Especially, the masses of the double-gluon hybrid states with the exotic quantum number $J^{PC} = 2^{+-}$ are calculated to be $M_{|\bar q q gg;2^{+-}\rangle} = 2.26^{+0.20}_{-0.25}$ GeV and $M_{|\bar s s gg;2^{+-}\rangle} = 2.38^{+0.19}_{-0.25}$ GeV. Their two- and three-meson decay patterns are also investigated.

The investigations of the $P$-wave $B_s$ states combining quark model and lattice QCD in the coupled channel framework

Combining the quark model, the quark-pair-creation mechanism and $B^{(*)}\bar K$ interaction, we have investigated the near-threshold $P$-wave $B_s$ states in the framework of the Hamiltonian effective field theory. With the heavy quark flavor symmetry, all the parameters are determined in the $D_s$ sector by fitting the lattice data. The masses of the bottom-strange partners of the $D^{*}_{s0}(2317)$ and $D^{*}_{s1}(2460)$ are predicted to be $M_{B^{*}_{s0}}=5730.2_{-1.5}^{+2.4}$ MeV and $M_{B^{*}_{s1}}= 5769.6_{-1.6}^{+2.4}$ MeV, respectively, which are well consistent with the lattice QCD simulation. The two $P$-wave $B_s$ states are the mixtures of the bare $\bar b s$ core and $B^{(*)}\bar K$ component. Moreover, we find a crossing point between the energy levels with and without the interaction Hamiltonian in the finite volume spectrum in the $0^+$ case, which corresponds to a CDD (Castillejo-Dalitz-Dyson) zero in the $T$-matrix of the $B\bar K$ scattering. This CDD zero will help deepen the insights of the near-threshold states and can be examined by future lattice calculation.

The double thresholds distort the lineshapes of the $P_{ψs}^Λ(4338)^0$ resonance

Very recently, the LHCb Collaboration reported the first observation of the hidden charm pentaquark with strangeness, $P_{ψs}^Λ(4338)^0$. Considering this state is very close to the $Ξ_c^0\bar{D}^0$ and $Ξ_c^+D^-$ thresholds, we explore the possible bias of the Breit-Wigner parameterization, with emphasis on the effect of its coupling to the double thresholds $Ξ_c^0\bar{D}^0$ and $Ξ_c^+D^-$. We first use a qualitative picture based on the ``uniformization" of the Riemann surface of the two-channel system to understand the positions of the enhancement. Then we use the Lippmann-Schwinger equation (LSE) formalism (equivalent to the $K$-matrix parameterization) with two models, the zero-range model and Flatté model to investigate the $J/ψΛ$ lineshapes. Our results show that the nominal peak of the $P_{ψs}^Λ(4338)^0$ could arise either from the pole well above the $Ξ_c^+ D^-$ threshold on the $(-,+)$ sheet or from the pole well below the $Ξ_c^0 \bar{D}^0$ threshold on the $(-,-)$ sheet in the two-channel system. Using the Breit-Wigner distribution to depict the above two lineshapes could be misleading. We also find a novel type of lineshapes with the enhancement constrained by the threshold difference. We urge the LHCb collaboration to perform the refined experimental analysis considering the unitarity and analyticity, e.g. using the K-matrix parameterization. As a by-product, we obtain that the ratio of the isospin violating decay ${Γ_{P_{ψs}^Λ\to J/ψΣ}}/{Γ_{P_{ψs}^Λ\to J/ψΛ}}$ could be up to $10\%$.

Searching for fully-heavy tetraquark states in QCD moment sum rules

In this talk, we briefly report the investigations of the mass spectra for the $cc\bar c\bar c, bb\bar b\bar b$, $bc\bar b\bar c$ and $cc\bar b\bar b$ tetraquark states by using the QCD moment sum rule method. The calculations for the fully-charm $cc\bar c\bar c$ tetraquarks have been successfully predicted the existence of di-$J/ψ$ resonances including $X(6900)$ in LHCb's observation. The quantum numbers for these resonance structures are also suggested. More efforts are still needed in both theoretical and experimental aspects to study the properties of these fully-heavy tetraquark states. They may be observed at facilities such as LHCb, CMS and RHIC in the future.
