New parametrization of the dark-energy equation of state with a single parameter

We propose a novel dark-energy equation-of-state parametrization, with a single parameter $η$ that quantifies the deviation from $Λ$CDM cosmology. We first confront the scenario with various datasets, from Hubble function (OHD), Pantheon, baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO), and their joint observations, and we show that $η$ has a preference for a non-zero value, namely a deviation from $Λ$CDM cosmology is favored, although the zero value is marginally inside the 1$σ$ confidence level. However, we find that the present Hubble function value acquires a higher value, namely $ H_0= 66.624^{+0.011}_{-0.013}~Km~ s^{-1} Mpc^{-1} $, which implies that the $H_0$ tension can be partially alleviated. Additionally, we perform a cosmographic analysis, showing that the universe transits from deceleration to acceleration in the recent cosmological past, nevertheless, in the future, it will not result in a de Sitter phase, since it exhibits a second transition from acceleration to deceleration. Finally, we perform the Statefinder analysis. The scenario behaves similarly to the $ Λ$CDM paradigm at high redshifts, while the deviation becomes significant at late and recent times and especially in the future.

Early-time optical spectral shape measurements of GRB 200925B

Optical broad-band spectral shape measurements of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are typically made starting an hour or more after the trigger event. With our automated, rapid-response system, the Burst Simultaneous Three-channel Imager (BSTI) on the Nazarbayev University Transient Telescope at Assy-Turgen Astrophysical Observatory (NUTTelA-TAO), we began measurements of GRB200925B 129 s after the Swift BAT trigger. The temporal decay log slopes in the g', r', and i' bands in the time interval 129 s to 1029 s are -0.43 \pm 0.31, -0.43 \pm 0.15, and -0.72 \pm 0.14, respectively. During the decay phase, a shift in color from red to blue, a change in log slope of \{beta} from -2.73 to -1.52 was measured. The evolution in the optical spectral slope is consistent with a decrease in extinction caused by dust destruction.

Observational constraints on the massive neutrinos induced late-time cosmic acceleration

We study a scenario based upon a mass-less $λϕ^4$ theory coupled to massive neutrino matter with $Z_2$ symmetry using a conformal coupling, $A(ϕ)=1-αϕ^2/2M_{pl}^2;~α=M^2_{pl}/M^2$ where $M$ is a cut off mass. The chosen coupling generically leads to the spontaneous symmetry breaking at late times such that the field acquires non-zero mass, $m_ϕ=(αΩ_{0ν})^{1/2}H_0 \ll H_0 $ and rolls slowly around the true ground state which emerges after spontaneous symmetry breaking. For the statistical analysis, we utilize Pantheon+Multi-Cycle Treasury and OHD data sets. We find that even a small fraction of the neutrino matter density together with its coupling to the scalar field can actually make our model to behave like a weakly dynamical dark energy and have $Λ$CDM model as a limiting case.

A paradigm of warm quintessential inflation and production of relic gravity waves

We consider the framework of quintessential inflation in the warm background which is caused by the dissipation of the scalar field energy density into relativistic degrees of freedom. The dissipation process has important consequences for the evolution both at the levels of background as well as perturbation and allows us to easily satisfy the observational constraints.~Our numerical analysis confirms that the model conforms to observational constraints even if the field-radiation coupling strength is weak. In the warm background, we investigate the post inflationary evolution of relic gravity waves produced during inflation whose amplitude is constrained by the Big Bang Nucleosynthesis constraint. Further, we investigate the effect of coupling on the amplitude of gravity waves and obtain the allowed phase space between the model parameters. The mechanism of quintessential inflation gives rise to the blue spectrum of gravitational wave background at high frequencies. We discuss the perspectives of detection of the signal of relic gravity waves by future proposed missions. Improvements of their sensitivities in the high-frequency regime, in the future, might allow us to probe the blue tilt of the spectrum caused by the presence of a kinetic regime in the underlying framework of inflation.

Dynamics of nonminimally coupled scalar field models with generic potentials in FLRW background

We study the phase space analysis of a nonminimally coupled scalar field model with different potentials such as KKLT, Higgs, inverse and inverse square. Our investigation brings new asymptotic regimes, and obtains stable de-Sitter solution. In case of KKLT, we do not find stable de-Sitter solution whereas Higgs model satisfies the de-Sitter condition but does not provide a stable de-Sitter solution in usual sense as one of the eigenvalue is zero. We obtain time derivative of Hubble constant $\dot{H}=0$, equation of state $w_ϕ\simeq -1$, scalar field $ϕ=$constant and the positive effective gravitational constant ($G_{eff}>0$), which are missed in our earlier work. Therefore, in case of $F(ϕ)R$ coupling with $F(ϕ)= 1-ξϕ^2 $ and the models of inverse and inverse square potentials$-$ a true stable de-Sitter solution is trivially satisfied.

Cosmological applications of Myrzakulov gravity

We investigate the cosmological applications of Myrzakulov $F(R,T)$ gravity. In this theory ones uses a specific but non-special connection, and thus both curvature and torsion are dynamical fields related to gravity. We introduce a parametrization that quantifies the deviation of curvature and torsion scalars form their corresponding values obtained using the special Levi-Civita and Weitzenb{ö}ck connections, and we extract the cosmological field equations following the mini-super-space procedure. Even for the simple case where the action of the theory is linear in $R$ and $T$, we find that the Friedmann equations contain new terms of geometrical origin, reflecting the non-special connection. Applying the theory at late times we find that we can acquire the thermal history of the universe, where dark energy can be quintessence-like or phantom-like, or behave exactly as a cosmological constant and thus reproducing $Λ$CDM cosmology. Furthermore, we show that these features are obtained for other Lagrangian choices, too. Finally, early-time application leads to the de Sitter solution, as well as to an inflationary realization with the desired scale-factor evolution.

Can massive neutrinos be responsible for late time phase transition $\hat{\rm a}$ {\it la} deceleration to acceleration in our Universe?

We attempt a novel mechanism to understand the underlying cause of late-time cosmic acceleration using a distinguished physical process taking place in the late Universe. The turning of massive neutrinos from relativistic to non-relativistic might cause a phase transition at late times. We implement this idea using massless $λϕ^4$ theory coupled to massive neutrino matter such that the coupling is proportional to the trace of the energy-momentum tensor of neutrino matter. As massive neutrinos become non-relativistic, their coupling to the scalar field builds up dynamically giving rise to spontaneous symmetry breaking in the low-density regime. As a result, in the true vacuum, the field acquires non zero mass proportional to the energy density of massive neutrino matter and could give rise to late-time cosmic acceleration. We also address the issues related to stability of self coupling under radiative corrections.

Zakharov-Ito equation and Generalized Heisenberg ferromagnet-type equation: equivalence and related geometric curve flows

These results continue our studies of integrable generalized Heisenberg ferromagnet-type equations (GHFE) and their equivalent counterparts. We consider the GHFE which is the spin equivalent of the Zakharov-Ito equation (ZIE). We have established that these equations are gauge and geometrical equivalent to each other. The integrable motion of space curves induced by the ZIE is constructed. The 1-soliton solution of the GHFE is obtained from the seed solution of the ZIE.

Generalized Heisenberg Ferromagnet type Equation and Modified Camassa-Holm Equation: Geometric Formulation, Soliton Solutions and Equivalence

We study the integrability and equivalence of a generalized Heisenberg ferromagnet-type equation (GHFE). The different forms of this equation as well as its reduction are presented. The Lax representation (LR) of the equation is obtained. We observe that the geometrical and gauge equivalent counterpart of the GHFE is the modified Camassa-Holm equation (mCHE) with an arbitrary parameter $κ$. Finally, the 1-soliton solution of the GHFE is obtained.

Geometric Flows of Curves, Two-Component Camassa-Holm Equation and Generalized Heisenberg Ferromagnet Equation

In this paper, we study the generalized Heisenberg ferromagnet equation, namely, the M-CVI equation. This equation is integrable. The integrable motion of the space curves induced by the M-CVI equation is presented. Using this result, the Lakshmanan (geometrical) equivalence between the M-CVI equation and the two-component Camassa-Holm equation is established. Note that these equations are gauge equivalent each to other.

Observational constraints on the generalized $α$ attractor model

We study the generalized $α$ attractor model in the context of the late time cosmic acceleration. The model interpolates between the scaling freezing and thawing dark energy models. In the slow roll region, the original potential is modified whereas the modification ceases in the asymptotic region and the effective potential behaves as the quadratic one. In our setting, the field rolls slowly around the present epoch and mimics the scaling behavior in the future. We obtain observational constraints on the model parameters by using an integrated data base (SN+Hubble+BAO+CMB).

Reconstruction of inflation from scalar field non-minimally coupled with the Gauss-Bonnet term

In this paper, we analyze the early-time inflation in a scalar-tensor theory of gravity where the scalar field is minimally coupled with the Gauss-Bonnet four dimensional topological invariant. The theory belongs to a class of Horndeski models where the field equations are at the second order like in General Relativity. A viable inflationary scenario must correctly reproduce the last Plank satellite data. By starting from some simple assumptions on the field and on the coupling function between the field and the Gauss-Bonnet term, we derive the spectral index and the tensor-to-scalar ratio of the model. Once the model is viable, it is finally possible to fully reconstruct its Lagrangian.

Starobinsky model with f-essence

In this paper, we consider a cosmological model of the flat and homogeneous universe for the Starobinsky model $F(R)=αR + βR^{2}$, which is non-minimally coupled with f-essence. For this model we obtained the field equations and considered particular solutions of the coupling and fermionic field functions. It is shown that the fermionic field can describe a nature of the universe.

Reconstruction of k-essence inflation in Horndeski gravity

In this paper, we analyzed inflation from k-essence in the framework of Horndeski gravity. In the specific, we considered models of canonical scalar field and k-essence with quadratic kinetic term. Viable inflationary models can be reconstructed by starting from the cosmological data. Several possibilities are explored in order to correctly reproduce the spectral index and the tensor-to-scalar ratio of primordial cosmological perturbations.

Noether symmetry of FRW cosmology with f - essence

In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of the universe on the background of f-essence when a non-minimal coupling with gravity. Field equations are obtained and using the Noether theorem, explicit forms of the coupling function and the Lagrange function of the f-essence were obtained. Accordingly, for this model, the cosmological parameters that describe the accelerated expansion of the universe are determined.

K-essence in Horndeski models

In this paper, we investigate a simple class of Horndeski models where the scalar field plays the role of a k-essence fluid. We present several solutions for early-time universe, namely inflation and cosmological bounce, by making use of some reconstruction technique. Moreover, we furnish the formalism to calculate perturbations in FRW space-time and we compute the spectral index and the tensor-to-scalar ratio during inflation.

$f(ϕ) R$-models for inflation

In this paper, we investigate models where a scalar field driving inflation is minimally coupled with gravity and it is subjected to a scalar potential. We present several examples of coupling between the field and gravity, and we furnish realistic models for inflation in agreement with the last Planck results.

Inhomogeneous fluids for warm inflation

Inhomogeneous fluid models for warm inflation are investigated. The early-time acceleration is supported by inhomogeneous fluid whose coupling with radiation leads to the radiation dominated era after inflation. Several examples are analyzed, strong dissipation regime is discussed, and the viability of the models respect to the last Planck data is verified.
