Disc wind in the HH 30 binary models

Recent interferometric observations of the young stellar object(YSO) HH 30 have revealed a low velocity outflow in the $^{12}$CO J=1-2 molecule line (Pety et al. 2006). We present here two models of the low velocity disc winds with the aim of investigating an origin of this molecular outflow. Following Andlada et al. (2006) we treated HH 30 as a binary system. Two cases have been considered: i) the orbital period $P$ = 53 yrs and ii) $P \le$ 1 yr. Calculations showed that in the first case the outflow cone had a spiral-like structure due to summing the velocities of the orbital motion and the disc wind. Such a structure contradicts the observations. In the second case, the outflow cone demonstrates a symmetry relatively to the system axis and agrees well with the observations.

Dust in the disk winds from young stars as a source of the circumstellar extinction

We examine a problem of the dust grains survival in the disk wind in T Tauri stars (TTSs). For consideration we choose the disk wind model described by Garcia et al. (2001), where a gas component of the wind is heated by an ambipolar diffusion up to the temperature of the order of 10$^4$ K. It is shown that the dust grains heating due to collisions with the gas atoms and electrons is inefficient in comparison with heating by the stellar radiation, and thus, dust survives even in the hot wind component. Owing to this, the disk wind may be opaque for the ultraviolet and optical radiation of the star and is capable to absorb its noticeable fraction. Calculations show that at the accretion rate $\dot{M_a} = 10^{-8}-10^{-6} M_\odot$ per year this fraction for TTSs may range from 20% to 40% of a total luminosity of the star correspondingly. This means that the disk wind in TTSs can play the same role as the puffed inner rim considered in the modern models of accretion disks. In Herbig Ae stars (HAEs) inner regions of the disk winds ($r \le 0.5$ AU) are free of dust since there dust grains sublimate under the effect of the radiation of the star. Therefore, in this case a fraction of the absorbed radiation by the disk wind is significantly less, and may be compared with the effect of the "puffed-up inner rim" only at $\dot{M_a} \geq 10^{-6} M_\odot$ yr$^{-1}$. Due to the structural inhomogeneity of the disk wind its optical depth towards an observer may be variable resulting in the photometric activity of the young stars. For the same reason, one can observe moving shadows from the gas and dust streams with the spiral-like structure on the highly resolved circumstellar disk images.

The Unique Eclipsing System KH 15D: New Photometric Data

We present results of the photometric observations of the young eclipsing binary KH 15D obtained during the two observational seasons of 2002-2004 years. A comparison of our data with those by Hamilton et al. (2001) and Herbst et al. (2002) reveals an existence of the long-term photometrical brightness trend: during 5 years a system brightness in the I band decreased by about one stellar magnitude. It is also shown that a systematic change of the eclipse parameters found by Herbst et al. (2002) is continuing up to now. The shape of the light curve did not change essentially and is characterized with a small brightening in the central part of the eclipses. The results obtained are discussed in the context of the current models of KH 15D.

The Disk Wind in the Young Binaries and the Origin of the Cyclic Activity of Young Stars

We present results of numerical modeling of the cyclic brightness modulation in the young binary systems with the eccentric orbits and low-mass secondary components. Brightness variations of the primary is due to the periodical extinction variations on the line-of-sight caused by the disk wind of the secondary and a common envelope it produces. A matter distribution in the envelope has been calculated in the ballistic approach. Calculations showed that for the young binaries with the elliptic orbits parameters of the photometric minima (their depth, duration and the shape of light curves) depend not only on the disk wind parameters and an inclination of the binary orbit to the line-of-sight but also on the longitude of the periastron. A modulation of the scattered radiation of the common envelope with a phase of the orbital period has been investigated in the single scattering approach. It is shown that an amplitude of the modulation is maximal when the system is seen edge-on and has also a non-zero value in the binaries observed pole-on. Possible applications of the theory to the young stellar objects are discussed. In particular, an attention is payed to a resemblance of the light curves in some models with light curves of the objects suspected as candidates to FUORs.
