Infinite rank module categories over finite dimensional $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-modules in Lie-algebraic context

We study locally finitary realizations of simple transitive module categories of infinite rank over the monoidal category $\mathscr{C}$ of finite dimensional modules for the complex Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2$. Combinatorics of such realizations is governed by six infinite Coxeter diagrams. We show that five of these are realizable in our setup, while one (type $B_\infty$) is not. We also describe the $\mathscr{C}$-module subcategories of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-mod generated by simple modules as well as the $\mathscr{C}$-module categories coming from the natural action of $\mathscr{C}$ on the categories of finite dimensional modules over Lie subalgebras of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$.

Applying projective functors to arbitrary holonomic simple modules

We prove that applying a projective functor to a holonomic simple module over a semi-simple finite dimensional complex Lie algebra produces a module that has an essential semi-simple submodule of finite length. This implies that holonomic simple supermodules over certain Lie superalgebras are quotients of modules that are induced from simple modules over the even part. We also provide some further insight into the structure of Lie algebra modules that are obtained by applying projective functors to simple modules.

Kronecker coefficients for (dual) symmetric inverse semigroups

We study analogues of Kronecker coefficients for symmetric inverse semigroups, for dual symmetric inverse semigroups and for the inverse semigroups of bijections between subquotients of finite sets. In all cases we reduce the problem of determination of such coefficients to some group-theoretic and combinatorial problems. For symmetric inverse semigroups, we provide an explicit formula in terms of the classical Kronecker and Littlewood--Richardson coefficients for symmetric groups.

The tale of Kostant's problem

This is a survey paper presenting the history and both old and new results related to Kostant's problem. This problem asks for which modules over a semi-simple finite dimensional complex Lie algebra, the universal enveloping algebra surjects onto the algebra of adjointly locally finite linear endomorphism.

Kostant's problem for fully commutative permutations

We give a complete combinatorial answer to Kostant's problem for simple highest weight modules indexed by fully commutative permutations. We also propose a reformulation of Kostant's problem in the context of fiab bicategories and classify annihilators of simple objects in the principal birepresentations of such bicategories generalising the Barbasch--Vogan theorem for Lie algebras.

Category O for Takiff sl_2

We investigate various ways to define an analogue of BGG category $\mathcal{O}$ for the non-semi-simple Takiff extension of the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2$. We describe Gabriel quivers for blocks of these analogues of category $\mathcal{O}$ and prove extension fullness of one of them in the category of all modules.

Kostant's problem for parabolic Verma modules

We give a complete combinatorial classification of those parabolic Verma modules in the principal block of the parabolic category $\mathcal{O}$ associated to a minimal or a maximal parabolic subalgebra of the special linear Lie algebra for which the answer to Kostant's problem is positive.

Graded extensions of Verma modules

In this paper, we investigate extensions between graded Verma modules in the BGG category $\mathcal{O}$. In particular, we determine exactly which information about extensions between graded Verma modules is given by the coefficients of the $R$-polynomials. We also give some upper bounds for the dimensions of graded extensions between Verma modules in terms of Kazhdan-Lusztig combinatorics. We completely determine all extensions between Verma module in the regular block of category $\mathcal{O}$ for $\mathfrak{sl}_4$ and construct various ``unexpected'' higher extensions between Verma modules.

Jucys-Murphy elements and Grothendieck groups for generalized rook monoids

We consider a tower of generalized rook monoid algebras over the field $\mathbb{C}$ of complex numbers and observe that the Bratteli diagram associated to this tower is a simple graph. We construct simple modules and describe Jucys-Murphy elements for generalized rook monoid algebras. Over an algebraically closed field $\Bbbk$ of positive characteristic $p$, utilizing Jucys-Murphy elements of rook monoid algebras, for $0\leq i\leq p-1$ we define the corresponding $i$-restriction and $i$-induction functors along with two extra functors. On the direct sum $\mathcal{G}_{\mathbb{C}}$ of the Grothendieck groups of module categories over rook monoid algebras over $\Bbbk$, these functors induce an action of the tensor product of the universal enveloping algebra $U(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_p(\mathbb{C}))$ and the monoid algebra $\mathbb{C}[\mathcal{B}]$ of the bicyclic monoid $\mathcal{B}$. Furthermore, we prove that $\mathcal{G}_{\mathbb{C}}$ is isomorphic to the tensor product of the basic representation of $U(\hat{\mathfrak{sl}}_{p}(\mathbb{C}))$ and the unique infinite-dimensional simple module over $\mathbb{C}[\mathcal{B}]$, and also exhibit that $\mathcal{G}_{\mathbb{C}}$ is a bialgebra. Under some natural restrictions on the characteristic of $\Bbbk$, we outline the corresponding result for generalized rook monoids.

Multiparameter colored partition category and the product of the reduced Kronecker coefficients

We introduce and study a multiparameter colored partition category $\mathcal{CPar}(\textbf{x})$ by extending the construction of the partition category, over an algebraically closed field $\Bbbk$ of characteristic zero and for a multiparameter $\textbf{x}\in \Bbbk^{r}$. The morphism spaces in $\mathcal{CPar}(\textbf{x})$ have bases in terms of partition diagrams whose parts are colored by elements of the multiplicative cyclic group $C_r$. We show that the endomorphism spaces of $\mathcal{CPar}(\textbf{x})$ and additive Karoubi envelope of $\mathcal{CPar}(\textbf{x})$ are generically semisimple. The category $\mathcal{CPar}(\textbf{x})$ is rigid symmetric strict monoidal and we give a presentation of $\mathcal{CPar}(\textbf{x})$ as a monoidal category. The path algebra of $\mathcal{CPar}(\textbf{x})$ admits a triangular decomposition with Cartan subalgebra being equal to the direct sum of the group algebras of complex reflection groups $G(r,n)$. We compute the structure constants for the classes of simple modules in the split Grothendieck ring of the category of modules over the path algebra of the downward partition subcategory of $\mathcal{CPar}(\textbf{x})$ in two ways. Among other things, this gives a closed formula for the product of the reduced Kronecker coefficients in terms of the Littlewood--Richardson coefficients for $G(r,n)$ and certain Kronecker coefficients for the wreath product $(C_r \times C_r)\wr S_n$. For $r=1$, this formula reduces to a formula for the reduced Kronecker coefficients given by Littlewood. We also give two analogues of the Robinson--Schensted correspondence for colored partition diagrams and, as an application, we classify the equivalence classes of Green's left, right and two-sided relations for the colored partition monoid in terms of these correspondences.

Finite quotients of singular Artin monoids and categorification of the desingularization map

We study various aspects of the structure and representation theory of singular Artin monoids. This includes a number of generalizations of the desingularization map and explicit presentations for certain finite quotient monoids of diagrammatic nature. The main result is a categorification of the classical desingularization map for singular Artin monoids associated to finite Weyl groups using BGG category $\mathcal{O}$.

Intersecting principal Bruhat ideals and grades of simple modules

We prove that the grades of simple modules indexed by boolean permutations, over the incidence algebra of the symmetric group with respect to the Bruhat order, are given by Lusztig's a-function. Our arguments are combinatorial, and include a description of the intersection of two principal order ideals when at least one permutation is boolean. An important object in our work is a reduced word written as minimally many runs of consecutive integers, and one step of our argument shows that this minimal quantity is equal to the length of the second row in the permutation's shape under the Robinson-Schensted correspondence. We also prove that a simple module over the above-mentioned incidence algebra is perfect if and only if its index is the longest element of a parabolic subgroup.

On first extensions in $\mathcal{S}$-subcategories of $\mathcal{O}$

We compute the first extension group from a simple object to a proper standard object and, in some cases, the first extension group from a simple object to a standard object in the principal block of an $\mathcal{S}$-subcategory of the BGG category $\mathcal{O}$ associated to a triangular decomposition of a semi-simple finite dimensional complex Lie algebra.

Finitary birepresentations of finitary bicategories

In this paper, we discuss the generalization of finitary $2$-representation theory of finitary $2$-categories to finitary birepresentation theory of finitary bicategories. In previous papers on the subject, the classification of simple transitive $2$-representations of a given $2$-category was reduced to that for certain subquotients. These reduction results were all formulated as bijections between equivalence classes of $2$-representations. In this paper, we generalize them to biequivalences between certain $2$-categories of birepresentations. Furthermore, we prove an analog of the double centralizer theorem in finitary birepresentation theory.

Join operation for the Bruhat order and Verma modules

We observe that the join operation for the Bruhat order on a Weyl group agrees with the intersections of Verma modules in type $A$. The statement is not true in other types, and we propose a conjectural statement of a weaker correspondence. Namely, we introduce distinguished subsets of the Weyl group on which the join operation conjecturally agrees with the intersections of Verma modules. We also relate our conjecture with a statement about the socles of the cokernels of inclusions between Verma modules. The latter determines the first Ext spaces between a simple module and a Verma module. We give a conjectural complete description of such socles, which we verify in a number of cases. Along the way, we determine the poset structure of the join-irreducible elements in Weyl groups and obtain closed formulae for certain families of Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials.
