SeaCausal-FL: Federated Fuzzy Causal Learning for Maritime IoT Fault Diagnosis and Counterfactual Reasoning

Reliable marine-engine fault diagnosis in maritime IoT is challenged by distributed data ownership, heterogeneous fault distributions, and continuously changing operating conditions. This paper proposes SeaCausal-FL, a federated fuzzy causal learning framework that combines a shared temporal diagnostic path with mechanism-conditioned causal reasoning. An interval type-2 fuzzy layer represents uncertain and overlapping operating mechanisms, while each mechanism is associated with a physics-constrained structural causal model. Before aggregation, locally learned mechanisms are aligned using operating context, causal structure, and conditional intervention-response signatures. Model parameters are then aggregated according to sample, class, mechanism, and mechanism-class evidence instead of client sample size alone. The learned structural equations further support interval counterfactual reasoning through abduction, action, and prediction. Experiments on a marine-engine fault dataset and a real-data-calibrated semi-synthetic causal benchmark show that SeaCausal-FL achieves an average F1 score of 87.07% across four client partitions, with AUROC and AUPRC of 98.98% and 94.81%, respectively. It also maintains strong performance under unseen loads and fault-type omission during training. On the causal benchmark, SeaCausal-FL reaches an Edge-F1 of approximately 0.58 and an Edge-AUPRC of 0.68, reduces coefficient RMSE to about 0.14, and provides favorable counterfactual estimation and intervention decisions.

Exploring the Initial Performance of NB-IoT NTN over GEO: Measurement and Analysis

With the standardization of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) to provide direct satellite connectivity to massive, low-power Internet of Things (IoT) devices, 3GPP IoT-NTN bridges the worlds of cellular and satellite communications. While holding great potential for global connectivity with IoT devices, there exist several concerns about the system performance of IoT-NTN over Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO), which covers multiple dimensions such as end-to-end delay and energy consumption considering the ultra-long transmission distance from ground IoT terminals to GEO satellite. To answer these concerns, we have conducted the first comprehensive and in depth measurement for NB-IoT NTN over GEO. Based on real NB-IoT NTN testbeds including both Skylo and Tiantong, measurements covering more than six months confirm that the available implementation of NB-IoT NTN remains in the initial stage. Amplified by ultra-long Round-Trip Time (RTT) between ground IoT terminals and GEO satellite, there exists plenty of time and energy consumption during the access process. Interestingly, it also reveals that as an energy-saving mechanism, Power Saving Mode (PSM) fundamentally reshapes NB-IoT NTN traffic into a bursty and access-driven communication pattern and thus has a considerable influence on the end-to-end delay and energy consumption. Finally, we propose corresponding optimization schemes to reduce the delay and energy, which lays a good foundation for the implementation of NB-IoT NTN in the near future.

DiaScriber: A Speech LLM for Joint Diarization and Transcription in Multi-Speaker Scenarios

Multi-speaker automatic speech recognition (MSASR) aims to jointly predict content transcriptions, speaker identities, and timestamps, thereby addressing the key question of "who spoke what and when" and holds substantial practical value in real-world multi-speaker scenarios. However, MSASR still encounters considerable challenges in the presence of fast turn transitions, overlapping speech, and complex, diverse multi-speaker scenarios. In this work, we propose DiaScriber, an end-to-end multi-speaker diarization and transcription model built on a speech large language model. We first construct diverse data pipelines to cover a wide variety of multi-speaker scenarios and their complexities, including validation and refinement, turn-transition and overlapping-speech simulation, and multimodal annotation. Furthermore, DiaScriber is developed based on the pretrained version of Qwen3.5-Omni through a three-stage training strategy involving continual pretraining, supervised fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning. Experiments show that DiaScriber achieves superior performance over comparison methods across extensive multi-speaker scenario test sets and demonstrates outstanding generalization ability in unseen multi-speaker scenarios.

Text-Guided Visual Dependency Graph Learning with Cross-Modal Attention Priors

Estimating interpretable conditional-dependence structures from multimodal visual-linguistic features remains largely unexplored. We propose CM-GLasso (Cross-Modal Graphical Lasso), a framework that bridges vision-language representation learning and sparse Gaussian Graphical Models. CM-GLasso introduces three key components: (i) a text visualization strategy that renders class-attribute descriptions as images and processes them through the same SigLIP-2 vision encoder as natural images, yielding prototype-indexed patch-level attention footprints in a shared feature coordinate system; (ii) a cross-attention distillation mechanism that condenses high-dimensional patches into a small set of semantic graph nodes, whose attention-footprint similarities yield cross-modal structural priors for non-uniform L1 penalization; (iii) a joint ADMM formulation that estimates shared and class-specific precision components within a single convex objective, avoiding the need to first estimate and then decompose separate class-wise graphs. The learned sparse graph topologies directly support a parameter-free, precision-based classification rule and a lightweight topology-aware segmentation head. Extensive experiments on eight benchmarks demonstrate that CM-GLasso achieves competitive or superior performance compared with strong feature-based and task-specific baselines. Under the matched controlled protocol, it attains the highest average classification accuracy (91.97%) and the highest segmentation mIoU among the controlled baselines on VOC (74.75%) and ADE20K (64.01%), while also yielding explicit sparse conditional-dependence graphs with common-specific decomposition.

Qwen-Music Technical Report

In this report, we introduce Qwen-Music, a powerful music generation model capable of producing highly musical and high-fidelity songs with complete vocal singing. Qwen-Music supports two core tasks: Text to Music Generation, which create entirely new songs from text descriptions, lyrics, and musical attributes, and Cover Song Generation, which reinterprets existing songs with different styles and vocal characteristics. Architecturally, Qwen-Music integrates three core components: Qwen-Music-Tokenizer, Qwen-Music-LLM, and Qwen-Music-Render. Qwen-Music-Tokenizer compresses audio into a 25 Hz single-codebook stream of Music Semantic Tokens that preserve semantic and melodic information for LLM prediction. Based on these tokens, Qwen-Music-LLM performs autoregressive music semantic modeling, with a key novelty being a melody-token-based chain-of-thought (Melody-CoT) mechanism that plans melodies before full-song generation, improving creativity, musicality, structural coherence, and reference-audio-based melody cloning. To overcome the fidelity limitations of discrete semantic tokens, Qwen-Music-Render performs generative stereo rendering, enriching acoustic details and producing high-fidelity stereo waveforms. Finally, we train Qwen-Music-LLM on more than 5 million hours of multilingual music data covering hundreds of languages. We first apply quality-aware pre-training curriculum, then use progressive post-training, comprising supervised initialization, offline DPO, and online GSPO, to further improve musicality and instruction-following ability. Across 600 Chinese and English prompts, Qwen-Music achieves state-of-the-art results in 13 of 16 objective musicality and audio-quality metrics. Professional evaluators also prefer Qwen-Music over leading proprietary systems. For cover song generation, Qwen-Music preserves reference melodies more accurately than leading proprietary systems.

Qwen-Audio-VAE Technical Report

We introduce \textbf{Qwen-Audio-VAE}, a suite of low-bitrate, fast-encoding continuous audio autoencoders designed for scalable general audio generation. The model is built around a simple but important principle: an audio VAE should not only reconstruct diverse audio with high fidelity, but also produce compact latent representations fast enough to support large-scale text-to-audio training. Qwen-Audio-VAE combines a causal encoder-decoder, window Transformer blocks, and multi-discriminator training to achieve a strong balance between reconstruction quality and compression rate. The model is trained at scale on 5 million hours of multi-domain audio, enabling robust reconstruction across heterogeneous acoustic conditions. To further improve computational efficiency, we adopt an asymmetric encoder-decoder backbone and introduce latency-aware encoder pruning to maximize encoding throughput. Experiments on public speech, music, and sound reconstruction benchmarks show that Qwen-Audio-VAE generalizes well across diverse audio domains and is particularly efficient, requiring only 541 ms to encode 32 minutes of audio. Overall, Qwen-Audio-VAE provides a high-quality, compact, and high-throughput representation backbone for efficient general audio generation.

The Granularity Mismatch in Agent Security: Argument-Level Provenance Solves Enforcement and Isolates the LLM Reasoning Bottleneck

Tool-using LLM agents must act on untrusted webpages, emails, files, and API outputs while issuing privileged tool calls. Existing defenses often mediate trust at the granularity of an entire tool invocation, forcing a brittle choice in mixed-trust workflows: allow external content to influence a call and risk hijacked destinations or commands, or quarantine the call and block benign retrieval-then-act behavior. The key observation behind this paper is that indirect prompt injection becomes dangerous not when untrusted content appears in context, but when it determines an authority-bearing argument. We present \textsc{PACT} (\emph{Provenance-Aware Capability Contracts}), a runtime monitor that assigns semantic roles to tool arguments, tracks value provenance across replanning steps, and checks whether each argument's origin satisfies its role-specific trust contract. Under oracle provenance, \textsc{PACT} achieves 100\% utility and 100\% security on mixed-trust diagnostic suites, while flat invocation-level monitors incur false positives or false negatives. In full AgentDojo deployments across five models, \textsc{PACT} reaches 100\% security on the three strongest models while recovering 38.1--46.4\% utility, 8--16 percentage points above CaMeL at the same security level. Ablations show that both semantic roles and cross-step provenance are necessary. \textsc{PACT} reframes agent security as authority binding, and isolates the remaining deployment bottleneck to provenance inference and contract synthesis.

Multimodal Structure Learning: Disentangling Shared and Specific Topology via Cross-Modal Graphical Lasso

Learning interpretable multimodal representations inherently relies on uncovering the conditional dependencies between heterogeneous features. However, sparse graph estimation techniques, such as Graphical Lasso (GLasso), to visual-linguistic domains is severely bottlenecked by high-dimensional noise, modality misalignment, and the confounding of shared versus category-specific topologies. In this paper, we propose Cross-Modal Graphical Lasso (CM-GLasso) that overcomes these fundamental limitations. By coupling a novel text-visualization strategy with a unified vision-language encoder, we strictly align multimodal features into a shared latent space. We introduce a cross-attention distillation mechanism that condenses high-dimensional patches into explicit semantic nodes, naturally extracting spatial-aware cross-modal priors. Furthermore, we unify tailored GLasso estimation and Common-Specific Structure Learning (CSSL) into a joint objective optimized via the Alternating Direction Method of Multiplier (ADMM). This formulation guarantees the simultaneous disentanglement of invariant and class-specific precision matrices without multi-step error accumulation. Extensive experiments across eight benchmarks covering both natural and medical domains demonstrate that CM-GLasso establishes a new state-of-the-art in generative classification and dense semantic segmentation tasks.

Interacting Particle Systems on Networks: joint inference of the network and the interaction kernel

Modeling multi-agent systems on networks is a fundamental challenge in a wide variety of disciplines. Given data consisting of multiple trajectories, we jointly infer the (weighted) network and the interaction kernel, which determine, respectively, which agents are interacting and the rules of such interactions. Our estimator is based on a non-convex optimization problem, and we investigate two approaches to solve it: one based on an alternating least squares (ALS) algorithm, and another based on a new algorithm named operator regression with alternating least squares (ORALS). Both algorithms are scalable to large ensembles of data trajectories. We establish coercivity conditions guaranteeing identifiability and well-posedness. The ALS algorithm appears statistically efficient and robust even in the small data regime, but lacks performance and convergence guarantees. The ORALS estimator is consistent and asymptotically normal under a coercivity condition. We conduct several numerical experiments ranging from Kuramoto particle systems on networks to opinion dynamics in leader-follower models.

Minimax Rates for Learning Pairwise Interactions in Attention-Style Models

We study the convergence rate of learning pairwise interactions in single-layer attention-style models, where tokens interact through a weight matrix and a nonlinear activation function. We prove that the minimax rate is $M^{-\frac{2β}{2β+1}}$, where $M$ is the sample size and $β$ is the Hölder smoothness of the activation function. Importantly, this rate is independent of the embedding dimension $d$, the number of tokens $N$, and the rank $r$ of the weight matrix, provided that $rd \le (M/\log M)^{\frac{1}{2β+1}}$. These results highlight a fundamental statistical efficiency of attention-style models, even when the weight matrix and activation are not separately identifiable, and provide a theoretical understanding of attention mechanisms and guidance on training.

Learning Multi-type heterogeneous interacting particle systems

We propose a framework for the joint inference of network topology, multi-type interaction kernels, and latent type assignments in heterogeneous interacting particle systems from multi-trajectory data. This learning task is a challenging non-convex mixed-integer optimization problem, which we address through a novel three-stage approach. First, we leverage shared structure across agent interactions to recover a low-rank embedding of the system parameters via matrix sensing. Second, we identify discrete interaction types by clustering within the learned embedding. Third, we recover the network weight matrix and kernel coefficients through matrix factorization and a post-processing refinement. We provide theoretical guarantees with estimation error bounds under a Restricted Isometry Property (RIP) assumption and establish conditions for the exact recovery of interaction types based on cluster separability. Numerical experiments on synthetic datasets, including heterogeneous predator-prey systems, demonstrate that our method yields an accurate reconstruction of the underlying dynamics and is robust to noise.

DORA: Dataflow Oriented Robotic Architecture

Robotic middleware serves as the foundational infrastructure, enabling complex robotic systems to operate in a coordinated and modular manner. In data-intensive robotic applications, especially in industrial scenarios, communication efficiency directly impact system responsiveness, stability, and overall productivity. However, existing robotic middleware exhibit several limitations: (1) they rely heavily on (de)serialization mechanisms, introducing significant overhead for large-sized data; (2) they lack efficient and flexible support for heterogeneous data sizes, particularly in intra-robot communication and Python-based execution environments. To address these challenges, we propose Dataflow-Oriented Robotic Architecture (DORA) that enables explicit data dependency specification and efficient zero-copy data transmission. We implement the proposed framework as an open-source system and evaluate it through extensive experiments in both simulation and real-world robotic environments. Experimental results demonstrate substantial reductions in latency and CPU overhead compared to state-of-the-art middleware.

LLM-ForcedAligner: A Non-Autoregressive and Accurate LLM-Based Forced Aligner for Multilingual and Long-Form Speech

Forced alignment (FA) predicts start and end timestamps for words or characters in speech, but existing methods are language-specific and prone to cumulative temporal shifts. The multilingual speech understanding and long-sequence processing abilities of speech large language models (SLLMs) make them promising for FA in multilingual, crosslingual, and long-form speech settings. However, directly applying the next-token prediction paradigm of SLLMs to FA results in hallucinations and slow inference. To bridge the gap, we propose LLM-ForcedAligner, reformulating FA as a slot-filling paradigm: timestamps are treated as discrete indices, and special timestamp tokens are inserted as slots into the transcript. Conditioned on the speech embeddings and the transcript with slots, the SLLM directly predicts the time indices at slots. During training, causal attention masking with non-shifted input and label sequences allows each slot to predict its own timestamp index based on itself and preceding context, with loss computed only at slot positions. Dynamic slot insertion enables FA at arbitrary positions. Moreover, non-autoregressive inference is supported, avoiding hallucinations and improving speed. Experiments across multilingual, crosslingual, and long-form speech scenarios show that LLM-ForcedAligner achieves a 69%~78% relative reduction in accumulated averaging shift compared with prior methods. Qwen3-ASR Technical Report

In this report, we introduce Qwen3-ASR family, which includes two powerful all-in-one speech recognition models and a novel non-autoregressive speech forced alignment model. Qwen3-ASR-1.7B and Qwen3-ASR-0.6B are ASR models that support language identification and ASR for 52 languages and dialects. Both of them leverage large-scale speech training data and the strong audio understanding ability of their foundation model Qwen3-Omni. We conduct comprehensive internal evaluation besides the open-sourced benchmarks as ASR models might differ little on open-sourced benchmark scores but exhibit significant quality differences in real-world scenarios. The experiments reveal that the 1.7B version achieves SOTA performance among open-sourced ASR models and is competitive with the strongest proprietary APIs while the 0.6B version offers the best accuracy-efficiency trade-off. Qwen3-ASR-0.6B can achieve an average TTFT as low as 92ms and transcribe 2000 seconds speech in 1 second at a concurrency of 128. Qwen3-ForcedAligner-0.6B is an LLM based NAR timestamp predictor that is able to align text-speech pairs in 11 languages. Timestamp accuracy experiments show that the proposed model outperforms the three strongest force alignment models and takes more advantages in efficiency and versatility. To further accelerate the community research of ASR and audio understanding, we release these models under the Apache 2.0 license.

Qwen3-TTS Technical Report

In this report, we present the Qwen3-TTS series, a family of advanced multilingual, controllable, robust, and streaming text-to-speech models. Qwen3-TTS supports state-of-the-art 3-second voice cloning and description-based control, allowing both the creation of entirely novel voices and fine-grained manipulation over the output speech. Trained on over 5 million hours of speech data spanning 10 languages, Qwen3-TTS adopts a dual-track LM architecture for real-time synthesis, coupled with two speech tokenizers: 1) Qwen-TTS-Tokenizer-25Hz is a single-codebook codec emphasizing semantic content, which offers seamlessly integration with Qwen-Audio and enables streaming waveform reconstruction via a block-wise DiT. 2) Qwen-TTS-Tokenizer-12Hz achieves extreme bitrate reduction and ultra-low-latency streaming, enabling immediate first-packet emission ($97\,\mathrm{ms}$) through its 12.5 Hz, 16-layer multi-codebook design and a lightweight causal ConvNet. Extensive experiments indicate state-of-the-art performance across diverse objective and subjective benchmark (e.g., TTS multilingual test set, InstructTTSEval, and our long speech test set). To facilitate community research and development, we release both tokenizers and models under the Apache 2.0 license.

Real-Time Lane Detection via Efficient Feature Alignment and Covariance Optimization for Low-Power Embedded Systems

Real-time lane detection in embedded systems encounters significant challenges due to subtle and sparse visual signals in RGB images, often constrained by limited computational resources and power consumption. Although deep learning models for lane detection categorized into segmentation-based, anchor-based, and curve-based methods there remains a scarcity of universally applicable optimization techniques tailored for low-power embedded environments. To overcome this, we propose an innovative Covariance Distribution Optimization (CDO) module specifically designed for efficient, real-time applications. The CDO module aligns lane feature distributions closely with ground-truth labels, significantly enhancing detection accuracy without increasing computational complexity. Evaluations were conducted on six diverse models across all three method categories, including two optimized for real-time applications and four state-of-the-art (SOTA) models, tested comprehensively on three major datasets: CULane, TuSimple, and LLAMAS. Experimental results demonstrate accuracy improvements ranging from 0.01% to 1.5%. The proposed CDO module is characterized by ease of integration into existing systems without structural modifications and utilizes existing model parameters to facilitate ongoing training, thus offering substantial benefits in performance, power efficiency, and operational flexibility in embedded systems.

Stochastic wave equation with additive fractional noise: solvability and global Hölder continuity

We determine the range of Hurst parameters that provide the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability, in $L^2(Ω)$, of the stochastic wave equation: $ \frac{\partial^2 }{\partial t^2}u(t,x) =Δu(t,x)+\dot{W}(t,x)$, where $\{ W(t,x),\ t\geq 0, x\in \mathbb{R}^d\} $ is a fractional Brownian field with temporal Hurst parameter $H_0\in[\tfrac12,1]$ and spatial Hurst parameters $H_i\in(0,1)$ for $i=1,\cdots,d$. {In particular, the solvability condition exhibits a phase transition at $H_0 = 1$.} We also obtain the sharp growth rate and the sharp Hölder continuity of the solution on the real line in the case $H_0=1/2$.

B2LoRa: Boosting LoRa Transmission for Satellite-IoT Systems with Blind Coherent Combining

With the rapid growth of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks, satellite-IoT systems using the LoRa technique have been increasingly deployed to provide widespread Internet services to low-power and low-cost ground devices. However, the long transmission distance and adverse environments from IoT satellites to ground devices pose a huge challenge to link reliability, as evidenced by the measurement results based on our real-world setup. In this paper, we propose a blind coherent combining design named B2LoRa to boost LoRa transmission performance. The intuition behind B2LoRa is to leverage the repeated broadcasting mechanism inherent in satellite-IoT systems to achieve coherent combining under the low-power and low-cost constraints, where each re-transmission at different times is regarded as the same packet transmitted from different antenna elements within an antenna array. Then, the problem is translated into aligning these packets at a fine granularity despite the time, frequency, and phase offsets between packets in the case of frequent packet loss. To overcome this challenge, we present three designs - joint packet sniffing, frequency shift alignment, and phase drift mitigation to deal with ultra-low SNRs and Doppler shifts featured in satellite-IoT systems, respectively. Finally, experiment results based on our real-world deployments demonstrate the high efficiency of B2LoRa.
