Black holes and particles with zero or negative energy

We study properties of particles with zero or negative energy and a nonzero orbital angular momentum in the ergosphere of a rotating black hole. We show that the sign of the particle energy is uniquely determined by the angular velocity of its rotation in the ergosphere. We give a simple proof of the fact that extreme black holes cannot exist. We investigate the question of the possibility of an unlimited energy increase in the center-of-mass system of two colliding particles, one or both of which have negative or zero energy.

Properties of particles in the ergosphere of black holes

A new feature of the rotating black holes is the existence in their ergosphere of trajectories of particles with negative and zero energies. Here we analyze general properties of such trajectories comparing them with usual trajectories of particles with positive energy. A comparison with the situation in rotating coordinate frame in Minkowski space-time is made. The possibility of the unbounded growth of the energy of two colliding particles in the centre of mass frame in the ergosphere is analysed.

Particle creation in the early Universe: achievements and problems

Results on particle creation from vacuum by the gravitational field of the expanding Friedmann Universe are presented. Finite results for the density of particles and the energy density for created particles are given for different exact solutions for different regimes of the expansion of the Universe. The results are obtained as for conformal as for nonconformal particles. The hypothesis of the origination of visible matter from the decay of created from vacuum superheavy particles identified with the dark matter is discussed.

High energy physics in the vicinity of rotating black holes

The aim of the paper is the consideration of particle collisions in the vicinity of the horizon of rotating black holes. Existence of geodesics for massive and massless particles arising from the region inside of the gravitational radius in ergosphere leads to the different possibilities to get very high energy in the centre mass frame of two particles. The classification of all such geodesics on the basis of the proved theorem for extremal spherical orbits is given. Case of the unlimited growth of energy for the situation when one of the particles (the critical one) is moving along the "white hole" geodesic with the close to the upper limit angular momentum while the other particle is on the usual geodesic and the case of the unlimited negative angular momentum of the first particle are considered.

On the collisions between particles in the vicinity of rotating black holes

Scattering of particles in the gravitational field of rotating black holes is considered. It is shown that scattering energy of particles in the centre of mass system can obtain very large values not only for extremal black holes but also for nonextremal ones. Extraction of energy after the collision is investigated. It is shown that due to the Penrose process the energy of the particle escaping the hole at infinity can be large. Contradictions in the problem of getting high energetic particles escaping the black hole are resolved.

Are black holes totally black?

Geodesic completeness needs existence near the horizon of the black hole of "white hole" geodesics coming from the region inside of the horizon. Here we give the classification of all such geodesics with the energies $E/m \le 1$ for the Schwarzschild and Kerr's black hole. The collisions of particles moving along the "white hole" geodesics with those moving along "black hole" geodesics are considered. Formulas for the increase of the energy of collision in the centre of mass frame are obtained and the possibility of observation of high energy particles arriving from the black hole to the Earth is discussed.

On creation of scalar particles with Gauss-Bonnet type coupling to curvature in Friedmann cosmological models

Calculations are presented for creation of massive and massless scalar particles coupled to Gauss-Bonnet type curvature in Friedmann cosmological models. It has been shown that, for fields of mass~$m$, the effect of the coupling parameter $ζ$ with the Gauss-Bonnet invariant is insignificant if $ζm^2 \ll 1 $. In all cases under consideration, the created particle number is compatible by order of magnitude with the number of causally disconnected space-time regions by the Compton time, corresponding $1/m$ or $\sqrtζ$.

High energy particles with negative and positive energies in the vicinity of black holes

It is shown that the energy in the centre of mass frame of two colliding particles in free fall at any point of the ergosphere of the rotating black hole can grow without limit for fixed energy values of particles on infinity. The effect takes place for large negative values of the angular momentum of one of the particles. It occurs that the geodesics with negative energy in equatorial plane of rotating black holes cannot originate or terminate inside the ergosphere. Their length is always finite and this leads to conclusion that they must originate and terminate inside the gravitational radius of the ergosphere. The energy in the centre of mass frame of one particle falling into the gravitational radius and the other arriving from the area inside it is growing without limit on the horizon.

Exact solutions and particle creation for nonconformal scalar fields in homogeneous isotropic cosmological models

The problem is solved of describing scale factors of a homogeneous isotropic spaces-time such that the exact solution for the scalar field with a nonconformal coupling to curvature can be obtained from solutions for the conformally coupled field by redefining the mass and momentum. Explicit expressions for dependence of time from the large-scale factor are presented in the form of Abelian integrals in these cases. The exact solution for a scalar field with Gauss-Bonnet type coupling with curvature is received and it is shown that the corresponding nonconformal additions can dominate at the particles creation by gravitational field.

On the possibility of observation of the future for movement in the field of black holes of different types

It is shown for a spherically symmetric black hole of general type that it is impossible to observe the infinite future of the Universe external to the hole during the finite proper time interval of the free fall. Quantitative evaluations of the effect of time dilatation for circular orbits around the Kerr black hole are obtained and it is shown that the effect is essential for ultrarelativistic energies of the rotating particle.

On collisions with unlimited energies in the vicinity of Kerr and Schwarzschild black hole horizons

Two particle collisions close to the horizon of the rotating nonextremal Kerr's and Schwarzschild black holes are analyzed. For the case of multiple collisions it is shown that high energy in the centre of mass frame occurs due to a great relative velocity of two particles and a large Lorentz factor. The dependence of the relative velocity on the distance to horizon is analyzed, the time of movement from the point in the accretion disc to the point of scattering with large energy as well as the time of back movement to the Earth are calculated. It is shown that they have reasonable order.

Particles with negative energies in black holes

The problem of the existence of particles with negative energies inside and outside of Schwarzschild, charged and rotating black holes is investigated. Different definitions of the energy of the particle inside the Schwarzschild black hole are analyzed and it is shown in what cases this energy can be negative. A comparison is made for the cases of rotating black holes described by the Kerr metric when the energy of the particle can be negative in the ergosphere and the Reissner-Nordstrom metric.

High energy processes in the vicinity of the Kerr's black hole horizon

Two particle collisions close to the horizon of the rotating nonextremal black hole are analyzed. It is shown that high energy of the order of the Grand Unification scale in the centre of mass of colliding particles can be obtained when there is a multiple collision - the particle from the accretion disc gets the critical momentum in first collision with the other particle close to the horizon and then there is a second collision of the critical particle with the ordinary one. High energy occurs due to a great relative velocity of two particles and a large Lorentz factor. The dependence of the relative velocity on the distance to horizon is analyzed, the time of movement from the point in the accretion disc to the point of scattering with large energy as well as the time of back movement to the Earth are calculated. It is shown that they have reasonable order.

The observable numbers of baryon and entropy are predicted. The possible role of superheavy particles in creation of cold dark matter is discussed.

Scattering of particles in the gravitational field of Kerr black holes is considered. It is shown that scattering energy of particles in the centre of mass system can obtain very large values not only for extremal black holes but also for nonextremal ones existing in Nature. This can be used for explanation of still unresolved problem of the origin of ultrahigh energy cosmic rays observed in Auger experiment. Extraction of energy after the collision is investigated. It is shown that due to the Penrose process the energy of the particle escaping the hole at infinity can be large. On particles collisions near rotating black holes

Scattering of particles with different masses and energy in the gravitational field of rotating black holes is considered as outside as inside the black hole. Expressions for scattering energy of particles in the centre of mass system are obtained. It is shown that scattering energy of particles in the centre of mass system can obtain very large values not only for extremal black holes but also for nonextremal ones if one takes into account multiple scattering. Numerical estimates for the time needed for the particle to get ultrarelativistic energy are given.
