Agentic AI-RAN Empowering Synergetic Sensing, Communication, Computing, and Control

Future sixth-generation (6G) networks are expected to support low-altitude wireless networks (LAWNs), where unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and aerial robots operate in highly dynamic three-dimensional environments under stringent latency, reliability, and autonomy requirements. In such scenarios, autonomous task execution at the network edge demands holistic coordination among sensing, communication, computing, and control (SC3) processes. Agentic Artificially Intelligent Radio Access Networks (Agentic AI-RAN) offer a promising paradigm by enabling the edge network to function as an autonomous decision-making entity for low-altitude agents with limited onboard resources. In this article, we propose a task-oriented Agentic AI-RAN architecture that enables SC3 task execution within a single edge node. The proposed architecture addresses the challenge of coordinating heterogeneous workloads in resource-constrained edge environments. To validate this framework, we prototype a representative low-altitude UAV system on a general-purpose Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) platform and evaluate it through an autonomous drone-navigation case study. The current prototype instantiates the platform-agnostic design through Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) partitioning and containerized deployment, providing physical resource isolation and coordinated execution between real-time communication and multimodal inference. Experimental results demonstrate low closed-loop latency, robust bidirectional communication, and stable performance under dynamic runtime conditions, highlighting the feasibility of the proposed framework for mission-critical low-altitude wireless networks in 6G.

Digital Twin Synchronization Over Mobile Embodied AI Network With Agentic Intelligence

Efficient digital twin (DT) synchronization relies on maintaining high-fidelity virtual representations with minimal age of information (AoI). However, the synergistic potential of cooperative sensing and autonomous mobility of the sensing agent remains underexplored in existing DT synchronization frameworks. In this paper, we propose an agentic AI-empowered mobile embodied AI network (MEAN) framework for DT synchronization. In the proposed hybrid architecture, the base station (BS) conducts global orchestration, while the agents autonomously execute a five-stage closed-loop workflow: move-to-sense, cooperative sensing, onboard semantic processing, channel-aware mobility, and uplink transmission. To optimize synchronization performance, we formulate a joint topology dispatching and multidimensional resource allocation problem aimed at minimizing the maximum twin deviation across regions, subject to heterogeneous sensing fidelity and energy budget constraints. To tackle this, we develop a hierarchical two-layer optimization algorithm, where the outer-layer refines multi-agent assignment via a dynamic matching game, and the inner-layer iteratively optimizes the continuous resources. Extensive simulation results verify the convergence of the proposed algorithm and demonstrate its substantial superiority over multiple baseline schemes in reducing synchronization deviation. Furthermore, the results reveal that semantic compression serves as a vital substitute for channel resources in latency reduction under constrained bandwidth, while autonomous velocity adaptation provides an essential degree of freedom for the system to navigate the fundamental energy-time trade-off.

Alternating Optimization for Joint Resource Allocation in Full-Duplex Multi-Sector Fluid Antenna-Enabled Near-Field Systems

This paper proposes a full duplex fluid antenna near field system (FD-FANS) with a multi-sector antenna array that jointly exploits resource allocation, antenna mobility, and group-based transmitting (TX) and receiving (RX) partitioning. A spherical wave uplink downlink channel is established that accounts for residual self interference (SI), wireless energy transfer (WET), and geometric constraints on antenna motion. Within the FD-FANS framework, an efficient protocol is devised to enable simultaneous downlink energy transmission (DET) and uplink data transmission (UDT) at the base station (BS). Furthermore, we formulate, for both perfect and imperfect SI cancellation (SIC), a weighted sum rate (WSR) maximization problem over time power allocation, antenna positions, and binary group selection, under practical average and peak power limits, per antenna box constraints, minimum spacing, and a half TX half RX balance. To tackle the resulting non convex mixed integer design, we develop an efficient alternating optimization (AO) framework based on majorization minimization successive convex approximation (MM SCA). The proposed algorithm monotonically improves the objective and converges to a stationary solution of a continuous relaxation. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves consistent performance gains over several benchmark designs, including half duplex FANS (HD FANS), FD fixed position antenna near field system (FD FPANS), non-grouped FD FANS, and far field counterparts, in terms of average sum rate (ASR), energy efficiency (EE), and user fairness, while exhibiting robustness to residual SI and channel uncertainty.

AC$^2$P$^2$SL: Adaptive Communication-Computation Pipeline Parallel Split Learning over Edge Networks

In wireless edge networks, split learning (SL) enables base station (BS) to utilize the distributed data and computing power across user equipments (UEs) to achieve collaborative model training while protecting local data privacy. However, the inherent sequential execution of computation and communication processes in conventional SL usually leads to long training times. To overcome this limitation, this paper proposes an adaptive communication-computation pipeline parallel split learning (AC$^2$P$^2$SL) framework. By conceptualizing the communication and computation processes of UEs and the BS as a unified pipeline, AC$^2$P$^2$SL achieves fine-grained pipeline parallelism across multiple micro-batches. Through this approach, effective overlapping of communication and computation is achieved which results in significant reduction of the overall training latency. Moreover, by considering the system constraints in the communication, computation, and storage dimensions as well as the heterogeneity of UEs, we formulate a joint optimization problem to minimize the training time and propose a corresponding split and pre-allocation algorithm to further enhance the pipeline efficiency. Additionally, accounting for the practical dynamic environments for the UEs, we design an adaptive re-allocation strategy to enhance the system resilience. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of AC$^2$P$^2$SL in reducing training time while ensuring data privacy preservation.

Full-Domain Coupler: A Wireless Native Neural Backbone for Channel Representation and Deduction

Data representation is a fundamental issue in deep learning. However, as wireless data scales and deeply couples across many physical domains such as time, space, and frequency, existing wireless artificial intelligence (AI) technologies lack dedicated representation solutions. Instead, they mainly rely on stitching general-purpose networks, a tool-driven paradigm that inevitably results in structural redundancy and bottlenecks in information flow. To fill this gap, this paper proposes Coupler, a wireless native-AI neural backbone designed for representation learning of channel state information (CSI)--the pivotal data in wireless systems. Leveraging the revealed physical insights of channel tensors, Coupler decomposes representation learning into individual domains on a layer-by-layer basis, and then couples the learned domain-specific features through a dimension-staggered cascade. This full-domain interleaved learning architecture enables superior parameter efficiency and fine-grained multi-domain feature fusion. Based on this backbone, we use the complex-domain multilayer perceptrons (CMLPs) as spatial and frequency domain learners, while employing three optional mechanisms--convolution, attention, or gating--to capture temporal dependencies. This results in a series of efficient channel learning schemes with diverse functionalities and extreme lightweights, showcasing the compactness, versatility and flexibility of Coupler. We evaluate these schemes on channel deduction, a general representation task encompassing channel estimation, interpolation, prediction, and feedback. Extensive experimental evaluations validate their significant performance gains and robust applicability even for real-world measured data, demonstrating the potential of Coupler as a promising basic architecture in the design of wireless foundation models.

Synergizing Global Pattern Learning and Time Order Characterization in Mobile Channel Prediction: An RWKV-Based Approach

Owing to the potential to reduce pilot overhead and mitigate channel aging, channel prediction is emerging as an important research topic in wireless communications. Meanwhile, deep neural networks are becoming a foundational technology for high-precision prediction thanks to their excellent non-linear representation capabilities. In this paper, we conceive a task-driven prediction network, which aims to deeply synergize the following two functions: learning global patterns for shareable features across adjacent time slots and structurally encoding time order to characterize the inherent causality within the channel dynamics. To implement channel prediction accuracy, we employ RWKV (receptance weighted key value) as network backbone and adapt it to the task's specific characteristics, utilizing its deep interleaved learning architecture to extract global patterns across multiple channel samples and leveraging its unique exponential decay to characterize temporal order. These task-driven unique designs significantly improve the learning efficiency of prediction network. Comprehensive experimental evaluations demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method over current data-driven methods, such as long short-term memory and Transformer, in the channel prediction task, including 1.84~4.29 dB gains in normalized mean squared error and 2.6~10.5 percentage point gains in cosine correlation.

Energy Efficient Federated Learning with Hyperdimensional Computing over Wireless Communication Networks

In this paper, we investigate a problem of minimizing total energy consumption for secure federated learning (FL) over wireless edge networks. To address the high computational cost and privacy challenges in conventional FL with neural networks (NN) for resource-constrained users, we propose a novel FL with hyperdimensional computing and differential privacy (FL-HDC-DP) framework. In the considered model, each edge user employs hyperdimensional computing (HDC) for local training, which replaces complex neural updates with simple hypervector operations, and applies differential privacy (DP) noise to protect transmitted model information. We optimize the total energy of computation and communication under both latency and privacy constraints. We formulate the problem as an optimization that minimizes the total energy of all users by jointly allocating HDC dimension, transmission time, system bandwidth, transmit power, and CPU frequency. To solve this problem, a sigmoid-variant function is proposed to characterize the relationship between the HDC dimension and the convergence rounds required to reach a target accuracy. Based on this model, we develop two alternating optimization algorithms, where closed-form expressions for time, frequency, bandwidth, and power allocations are derived at each iteration. Since the iterative algorithm requires a feasible initialization, we construct a feasibility problem and obtain feasible initial resource parameters by solving a per round transmission time minimization problem. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed FL-HDC-DP framework achieves up to 83.3% total energy reduction compared with the baseline, while attaining about 90% accuracy in approximately 3.5X fewer communication rounds than the NN baseline.

PAEC: Position-Aware Entropy Calibration for LLM Reasoning in RLVR

Reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards (RLVR) improves large language model reasoning but often suffers from rapid policy-entropy collapse, where the policy prematurely concentrates on narrow high-probability reasoning paths. While global entropy regularization can encourage exploration, uniformly increasing entropy across all token positions is inefficient for long reasoning trajectories, where many tokens are not decision-relevant. We propose Position-Aware Entropy Calibration (PAEC), a token-level entropy-management framework that constructs a soft mask from local top-p entropy and top-two candidate competition, and applies an anchor-based lower-bound penalty to prevent selected-position entropy collapse. Experiments on five mathematical reasoning benchmarks show that PAEC improves macro-average majority-vote performance over strong RLVR baselines, with clear gains on AIME-style tasks. Our results suggest that entropy management in reasoning RL should be formulated as selective exploration allocation over decision-sensitive positions rather than uniform randomness injection.

Electromagnetic Digital Twin-Enabled Closed-Loop Beam Management in ISAC Systems

Digital twin (DT) is envisioned as a key enabler of sixth-generation (6G) communication systems, evolving from offline descriptive replicas for monitoring and analysis to inthe-loop agents within digital twin networks (DTNs) that couple physical and digital worlds. Recent advances in integrated sensing and communication (ISAC)-driven electromagnetic (EM) scattering methods enable environment twinning by linking channel behaviors to EM properties of the scatterers, supporting interpretable DT states and EM-grounded optimization. However, existing studies primarily focus on DT construction and lack mechanisms for closed-loop control in wireless systems. Moreover, array-geometry mismatch can bias DT reconstruction and degrade control performance, while prior works assume known arrays. To address these gaps, we propose an EM-ISACbased closed-loop DTN framework with a hierarchical design integrating environment twinning, prior injection, and control decision into an end-to-end loop. Leveraging ISAC measurements, the proposed framework jointly reconstructs scatterer information and array-dependent forward operator and employs a low-complexity Bayesian message-passing algorithm to perform contrast inference and array calibration. The reconstructed DT guides codebook preselection to reduce training overhead and narrow candidate beams. Subsequently, downlink beamforming (BF) is performed based on DT-predicted channels, enabling latency-bounded closed-loop control. Simulation results demonstrate improved robustness and control performance under array mismatch.

Joint Communication and Computation Design for Mobile Embodied AI Network (MEAN)

This letter investigates the problem of energy efficient collaborative strategy for mobile embodied artificial intelligence network (MEAN) over wireless communication. In the considered model, the agents execute the tasks through collaboration, and they can switch between two operating modes based on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and global collaboration. The dual-mode comprises the base station (BS)-assisted collaborative mode, in which agents make decisions through semantic communication with BS and then collaborate on tasks, and the local computing mode, in which the agents make decisions and execute tasks independently. Due to the dynamic wireless communication and flexible collaboration strategy, we jointly consider computation energy, communication energy, and task-execution energy with specific collaborative gains into a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) optimization problem whose goal is to minimize the total system energy consumption. To solve it, we propose a lower-complexity enumeration algorithm: first, we get the optimal closed-form solution for semantic compression ratio and transmit power by proving the strict convexity. Second, we determine the scale of collaboration and the operating mode of each agent by a greedy sorting algorithm based on individual energy-saving potentials. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly reduce the total energy consumption compared to benchmark schemes.

Geometry-Aided Channel Deduction: A Robust Channel Acquisition Framework Utilizing Coarse Scenario Prompt

Channel state information (CSI) is critical for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. Pilot-based channel estimation methods suffer from high pilot overhead and low channel acquisition quality, while pilot-free approaches typically impose impractical demands on positional or environmental information precision. This paper proposes geometry-aided channel deduction (GCD), which leverages readily available geometric information to assist channel acquisition. The environmental map and base station position together constitute the scenario geometry, which can provide geometric channel features through ray tracing. To obtain the complete channel, the user first retrieves approximate geometric features by performing neighborhood searching within a pre-extracted geometric feature set, and then converts them into pseudo channels through a priori designed feature alignment. These pseudo channels serve as contextual prompt, providing supplementary channel features beyond those derived from pilot-based estimate. Finally, a neural network fuses these pseudo channels with partial estimate to generate the complete channel. Comprehensive experiments validate the superiority of our method, which achieves the leading accuracy in channel acquisition under sparse pilot conditions, demonstrates strong generalization capabilities in new scenarios and dynamic environments, and exhibits robust resilience against user position errors and non-ideal environmental information.

Split and Aggregation Learning for Foundation Models Over Mobile Embodied AI Network (MEAN): A Comprehensive Survey

The rapid advancements in foundation models and sixth-generation (6G) wireless communication systems necessitate the development of efficient, scalable, and privacy-preserving machine learning approaches. For foundation models in 6G, split learning (SL) and aggregation learning (AL) have emerged as promising paradigms that address key challenges in distributed artificial intelligence (AI), such as communication efficiency, resource allocation, and data privacy. SL enables multiple entities to collaboratively train deep learning models by partitioning neural networks, while AL focuses on aggregating intermediate results or model updates from multiple participants, improving robustness, optimizing resource utilization, and mitigating data leakage risks. Specifically, SL is ideal for scenarios requiring strict data isolation (e.g., vertical collaborations), whereas AL suits homogeneous horizontal data settings; they can be combined to balance privacy and communication efficiency. This survey provides a comprehensive analysis of SL and AL in 6G communication systems, exploring their architectures, technical methodologies, and integration with AI-native 6G communication technologies. We examine different SL configurations, aggregation techniques, and their roles in optimizing distributed foundation models. Furthermore, we discuss their applications in emerging wireless networks, including semantic communication, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), space-air-ground integrated networks (SAGINs), and quantum communication. By analyzing the impact of SL and AL, this survey provides insights into their role in shaping distributed AI-driven communication systems in the 6G era, focusing on efficiency, privacy preservation, and scalability.

WirelessAgent: A Unified Agent Design for General Wireless Resource Allocation Problem without Current Channel State Information

This paper investigates the agent design for solving the wireless resource allocation problem without sufficient channel state information (CSI), which cannot be effectively solved via conventional method. In the considered wireless agent design, we provide the general sense-repair-decide-act workflow, which can be used to intelligently solve general wireless resource allocation problem. A multi-objective optimization problem is formulated to adaptively satisfy different user requirements including both spectrum and energy efficiency. This work addresses the challenge of incomplete CSI for multiple optimization objectives. To solve this problem, we use an artificial intelligence (AI) model to predict missing channel data and construct an agent on the Coze platform, allowing the network operators to optimize multiple objectives through natural language conversations. To tackle the resource scheduling under different objectives, we develop adaptive algorithms. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of our proposed design, demonstrating that the proposed AI method reduces the root mean square error by approximately up to 67\% compared to the traditional approach. Moreover, the data-driven scheduling balances system performance compared to conventional baseline approaches.

TOIB: Task-Oriented Orthogonalised Information Bottleneck for Distributed Semantic Communication

Task-oriented semantic communication emerges as a crucial paradigm for next-generation wireless networks, aiming to efficiently transmit task-relevant information while reducing interference and redundancy across multiple users. Existing information bottleneck (IB)-based frameworks predominantly focus on single-user scenarios, neglecting cross-user semantic interference in distributed semantic communications. To overcome this limitation, we propose a task-oriented orthogonalised information bottleneck (TOIB) approach, explicitly designed for distributed semantic communication systems. By introducing task-conditioned latent variables, TOIB adaptively balances semantic sufficiency, semantic compression, and inter-user semantic orthogonality. Extensive simulations conducted on classification tasks demonstrate that TOIB consistently achieves superior classification accuracy across various signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regimes compared to traditional IB and deep joint source-channel coding (JSCC) methods. Specifically, the proposed method significantly enhances robustness under harsh low-SNR conditions and effectively suppresses cross-user semantic interference, as validated by cross-decoding accuracy metrics.

Semantic Feature Multiple Access Empowered Integrated Learning and Communication Networks

Integrated learning and communication (ILAC) unifies learned transceivers with radio resource management, where semantic feature multiple access (SFMA) enables paired users to superpose their learned representations over shared time-frequency resources. Unlike conventional multiple access schemes, SFMA interference arises in the learned feature space and depends jointly on the user pair, the transmit power, and the compression ratio. This coupling ties binary pairing decisions to continuous resource variables, yielding a mixed-integer non-convex optimization problem. To address this problem, we first propose similarity-conditioned SFMA (SC-SFMA), a Swin Transformer-based transceiver whose dual-conditioned similarity modulator (DC-SimM) gates cross-user feature fusion according to the inter-user semantic similarity. We then characterize the resulting pair-dependent interference by a bivariate logistic function parameterized by transmit power and compression ratio, thereby bridging the learned transceiver with network-level optimization. On this basis, we formulate a sum-rate maximization problem subject to per-user distortion, latency, energy, power, and bandwidth constraints. To solve this problem, we develop a three-block alternating optimization algorithm that integrates dual-decomposition-assisted compression ratio allocation, trust-region successive convex approximation (SCA) for joint power-bandwidth optimization, and dynamic feasible graph-based user pairing. Simulation results show that SC-SFMA achieves considerable peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and multi-scale structural similarity index measure (MS-SSIM) gains over deep joint source-channel coding (JSCC) and separation-based baselines. The proposed optimization framework attains significant sum rate improvements over conventional multiple access baselines.

Joint Device Pairing and Bandwidth Allocation Optimisation for Semantic Feature Multiple Access Networks

This paper presents a Semantic Feature Multiple Access (SFMA) framework for multi-user semantic communication in downlink wireless systems. By extending SwinJSCC to a two-user superimposition paradigm, SFMA enables simultaneous semantic transmission to multiple users over shared time-frequency resources. A key innovation is the Cross-User Attention (CUA) module, which facilitates controlled semantic feature exchange between paired users by leveraging inter-image similarity while mitigating interference. We formulate a joint user pairing and resource allocation problem to minimize global semantic distortion under constraints on bandwidth, end-to-end latency, and energy. This mixed-integer non-convex problem is decomposed into a Minimum-Weight Perfect Matching (MWPM) sub-problem and a convex bandwidth allocation feasibility check, with semi-closed-form bandwidth bounds derived from a strictly concave rate expression. A polynomial-time algorithm based on Blossom matching and bisection search is proposed. Extensive simulations on ImageNet-100 show that SFMA significantly improves reconstruction quality across pairing modes, and the proposed optimization effectively reduces overall distortion while satisfying physical-layer constraints.

Near-Field Integrated Sensing, Computing and Semantic Communication in Digital Twin-Assisted Vehicular Networks

Digital twin (DT) technology offers transformative potential for vehicular networks, enabling high-fidelity virtual representations for enhanced safety and automation. However, seamless DT synchronization in dynamic environments faces challenges such as massive data transmission, precision sensing, and strict computational constraints. This paper proposes an integrated sensing, computing, and semantic communication (ISCSC) framework tailored for DT-assisted vehicular networks in the near-field (NF) regime. Leveraging a multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) configuration, each roadside unit (RSU) employs semantic communication to serve vehicles while simultaneously utilizing millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar for environmental mapping. We implement particle filtering at RSUs to achieve high-precision vehicle tracking. To optimize performance, we formulate a joint optimization problem balancing semantic communication rates and sensing accuracy under limited computational resources and power budget. Our solution includes a hybrid heuristic algorithm for vehicle-to-RSU assignment and an alternating optimization approach for determining semantic extraction ratios and beamforming matrices. Performance is extensively evaluated via the Cramér-Rao bound (CRB) for angle and distance estimation, semantic transmission rates, and resource utilization. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed ISCSC framework achieves a 20% improvement in transmission rate while maintaining the sensing accuracy of existing integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) schemes under constrained resource conditions.
