Charged fermions tunneling from stationary axially symmetric black holes with generalized uncertainty principle

In this paper, we study the tunneling of charged fermions from the stationary axially symmetric black holes using the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) via Wentzel, Kramers, and Brillouin (WKB) method. The emission rate of the charged fermions and corresponding modified Hawking temperature of Ker-Newman black hole, Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton-Axion (EMDA) black hole, Kaluza-Klein dilaton black hole, and then, charged rotating black string are obtained and we show that the corrected thermal spectrum is not purely thermal because of the minimal scale length which cause the black hole's remnant.

Weak Gravitational lensing by phantom black holes and phantom wormholes using the Gauss-Bonnet theorem

In this paper, we study the deflection of light by a class of phantom black hole and wormhole solutions in the weak limit approximation. More specifically, in the first part of this work, we study the deflection of light by Garfinkle-Horowitz-Ströminger black hole and Einstein-Maxwell anti-dilaton black hole using the optical geometry and the Gauss-Bonnet theorem. Our calculations show that gravitational lensing is affected by the phantom scalar field (phantom dilaton). In the second part of this work, we explore the deflection of light by a class of asymptotically flat phantom wormholes. In particular, we have used three types of wormholes: wormhole with a bounded/unbounded mass function, and a wormhole with a vanishing redshift function. We show that the particular choice of the shape function and mass function plays a crucial role in the final expression for the deflection angle of light. In the third part of the paper, we verify our findings with the help of standard geodesics equations. Finally, in the fourth part of this paper, we consider the problem for the observational relevance of our results studying the creation of the weak field Einstein rings.

The effect of the Brane-Dicke coupling parameter on weak gravitational lensing by wormholes and naked singularities

In this paper, we analyze the deflection angle of light by Brane-Dicke wormhole in the weak field limit approximation to find the effect of the Brane-Dicke coupling parameter on the weak gravitation lensing. For this purpose, we consider new geometric techniques, i.e., Gauss-Bonnet theorem and optical geometry in order to calculate the deflection angle. Furthermore, we verify our results by considering the most familiar geodesic technique. Moreover, we establish the quantum corrected metric of Brane-Dicke wormhole by replacing the classical geodesic with Bohmian trajectories, whose matter source and anisotropic pressure are influenced by Bohmian quantum effects and calculate its quantum corrected deflection angle. Then, we calculate the deflection angle by naked singularities and compare with the result of wormhole's. Such a novel lensing feature might serve as a way to detect wormholes, naked singularities and also the evidence of Brane-Dicke theory.

Motion and collision of particles near DST Black holes

We consider Deser-Sarioglu-Tekin (DST) black holes as background and we study such the motion of massive particles as the collision of two spinning particles in the vicinity of its horizon. New kinds of orbits are allowed for small deviations of General Relativity, but the behavior of the collision is similar to the one observed for General Relativity. Some observables like bending of light and the perihelion precession are analyzed.

Exact traversable wormhole solution in bumblebee gravity

In this study, we found a new traversable wormhole solution in the framework of a bumblebee gravity model. With these types of models, the Lorentz symmetry violation arises from the dynamics of a bumblebee vector field that is non-minimally coupled with gravity. To this end, we checked the wormhole's flare-out and energy (null, weak, and strong) conditions. We then studied the deflection angle of light in the weak limit approximation using the Gibbons-Werner method. In particular, we show that the bumblebee gravity effect leads to a non-trivial global topology of the wormhole spacetime. By using the Gauss-Bonnet theorem (GBT), it is shown that the obtained non-asymptotically flat wormhole solution yields a topological term in the deflection angle of light. This term is proportional to the coupling constant, but independent from the impact factor parameter. Significantly, we showed that the bumblebee wormhole solutions, under specific conditions, support the normal matter wormhole geometries.

Hawking radiation from cubic and quartic black holes via tunneling of GUP corrected scalar and fermion particles

We analyze the effect of the generalized uncertainty (GUP) principle on the Hawking radiation from the hairy black hole in U(1) gauge-invariant scalar-vector-tensor theory by utilizing the semiclassical Hamilton-Jacobi method. To do so, we evaluate the tunneling probabilities and Hawking temperature for scalar and fermion particles for the given spacetime of the black holes with cubic and quartic interactions. For this purpose, we utilize the modified Klein-Gordon equation for the Boson particles and then Dirac equations for the fermion particles, respectively. Next, we examine that the Hawking temperature of the black holes do not depend on the properties of tunneling particles. Moreover, we present the corrected Hawking temperature of scalar and fermion particles looks similar in both interactions, but there are different mass and momentum relationships for scalar and fermion particles in cubic and quartic interactions.

Holographic Thermodynamics of Accelerating Black Holes

We present a careful study of accelerating black holes in anti-de Sitter spacetime, formulating the thermodynamics and resolving discrepancies that have appeared in previous investigations of the topic. We compute the dual stress-energy tensor for the spacetime and identify the energy density associated with a static observer at infinity. The dual energy-momentum tensor can be written as a three-dimensional perfect fluid plus a non-hydrodynamic contribution with a universal coefficient which is given in gauge theory variables. We demonstrate that both the holographic computation and the method of conformal completion yield the same result for the mass. We compare to previous work on black funnels and droplets, showing that the boundary region can be endowed with non-compact geometry, and comment on this novel holographic dual geometry.

We reply to the Comment of Bhattacharya and Karimov on our paper Light deflection by Damour-Solodukhin wormholes and Gauss-Bonnet theorem [arXiv:1811.00768 [gr-qc]]. We address a number of incorrect claims made about our calculations and methodology. We show below that the claims of BK are incorrect, and that there are no problems with the results of Övgün's paper or its implications.

Novel nonlinear electrodynamics black hole and related phenomena in the extended thermodynamics

In this paper, we present the analytic solution for Anti-de Sitter-Nonlinear electrodynamics (AdS-NED) black hole in four dimensions. We study tunneling of vector particles from the AdS-NED black hole to find Hawking temperature as well as its thermodynamical properties in usual and extended phase space. Then we explore the properties of pressure-volume criticality by analyzing the phase diagram and its free energy. Finally, we investigate the Joule-Thomson coefficient, in which the inversion curve of warming and cooling are studied, and the ratio between the inverse temperature and critical temperature are computed in the black hole solution.

Gravitational Lensing Under the Effect of Weyl and Bumblebee Gravities: Applications of Gauss-Bonnet Theorem

In this paper, we use the Gauss Bonnet theorem to obtain the deflection angle by the photons coupled to Weyl tensor in a Schwarzschild black hole and Schwarzschild-like black hole in bumblebee gravity in the weak limit approximation. To do so, we first calculate the corresponding optical metrics, and then we find the Gaussian curvature to use in Gauss-Bonnet theorem, which is first done by Gibbons and Werner. Hence, in the leading order terms we show the deflection angle, that is affected by the coupling between the photon and Weyl tensor, and there is a deviation from the deflecting angle as compared with Schwarzschild black hole with Schwarzschild-like black hole in bumblebee gravity. Moreover, we investigate the deflection angle by Einstein-Rosen type wormhole in Weyl gravity and in bumblebee gravity. Interestingly, the deflection angle by Einstein-Rosen type wormhole in bumblebee gravity is found as larger than the the deflection angle by Einstein-Rosen type wormhole in Weyl gravity.

Shadow cast and Deflection angle of Kerr-Newman-Kasuya spacetime

We study the shadow cast or silhouette generated by a Kerr-Newman-Kasuya (KNK) spacetime (rotating dyon black hole). It is shown that in addition to the angular momentum of the black hole, the dyon charge also affects the shadow image of the KNK black hole. Moreover, we analyze the weak gravitational lensing by the KNK black hole by using the Gauss-Bonnet theorem. Finally, we find that extra dyon charge decreases both the deflection angle and shadow of the KNK black hole.

Analytical Solutions in a Cosmic String Born-Infeld-dilaton Black Hole Geometry: Quasinormal Modes and Quantization

Chargeless massive scalar fields are studied in the spacetime of Born-Infeld dilaton black holes (BIDBHs). We first separate the massive covariant Klein-Gordon equation into radial and angular parts and obtain the exact solution of the radial equation in terms of the confluent Heun functions. Using the obtained radial solution, we show how one gets the exact quasinormal modes (QNMs) for some particular cases. We also solve the Klein-Gordon equation in the spacetime of BIDBH with a cosmic string in which we point out the effect of the conical deficit on the BIDBH. The analytical solutions of the radial and angular parts are obtained in terms of the confluent Heun functions. Finally, we study the quantization of the BIDBH. While doing this, we also discuss the Hawking radiation in terms of the effective temperature.

Light deflection by Damour-Solodukhin wormholes and Gauss-Bonnet theorem

In this paper, using the recent method proposed by Ono, Ishihara and Asada (OIA) who extend the idea of Gibbons and Werner to the stationary and axisymmetric case, we apply the Gauss-Bonnet theorem to the optical metric of the non-rotating and rotating Damour-Solodukhin wormholes spacetimes to study the weak gravitational lensing by these objects. Furthermore, we study the strong gravitational lensing by the non-rotating Damour-Solodukhin wormholes using the Bozza's method to see the differences between the weak lensing and the strong lensing. We demonstrate the relation between the strong deflection angle and quasinormal modes of the Damour-Solodukhin wormholes. Interestingly it is found that the wormhole parameter $λ$, affects the deflection of light in strong and weak limits compared to the previous studies of gravitational lensing by Schwarzschild black holes. Hence, the results provide a unique tool to shed light on the possible existence of wormholes.

Quasinormal Modes of a Schwarzschild Black Hole Immersed in an Electromagnetic Universe

We study the quasinormal modes (QNMs) of the Schwarzschild black hole immersed in an electromagnetic (em) universe. The immersed Schwarzschild black hole (ISBH) is originated from the metric of colliding em waves with double polarization [Class. Quantum Grav. 12, 3013 (1995)]. The perturbation equations of the scalar fields for the ISBH geometry are written in the form of separable equations. We show that these equations can be transformed to the confluent Heun's equations, for which we are able to use the known techniques to perform the analytical quasinormal (QNM) analysis of the solutions. Furthermore, we employ numerical methods [Mashhoon and $6^{th}$-order Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB)] to derive the QNMs. The results obtained are discussed and depicted with the appropriate plots.

Tunneling of Glashow-Weinberg-Salam model particles from Black Hole Solutions in Rastall Theory

Using the semiclassical WKB approximation and Hamilton-Jacobi method, we solve an equation of motion for the Glashow-Weinberg-Salam model, which is important for understanding the unified gauge-theory of weak and electromagnetic interactions. We calculate the tunneling rate of the massive charged W-bosons in a background of electromagnetic field to investigate the Hawking temperature of black holes surrounded by perfect fluid in Rastall theory. Then, we study the quantum gravity effects on the generalized Proca equation with generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) on this background. We show that quantum gravity effects leave the remnants on the Hawking temperature and the Hawking radiation becomes nonthermal.

Formation of Wormholes by Dark Matter in the Galaxy Dragonfly 44

Recently, ultra diffuse galaxy (UDG) of Dragonfly 44 in the Coma Cluster was observed and observations of the rotational speed suggest that its mass is almost same as the mass of the Milky Way. On the other hand, interestingly, the galaxy emits only 1 \% of the light emitted by the Milky Way. Then, astronomers reported that Dragonfly 44 may be made almost entirely of dark matter. In this study we try to show that the dark matter that constitutes Dragonfly 44 can form the wormhole or not. Two possible dark matter profiles are used, namely, ultra diffuse galaxy King's model and generalized Navarro-Frenk-White (NFW) dark matter profile. We have shown that King's model dark matter profile does not manage to provide wormhole whereas generalized Navarro-Frenk-White (NFW) dark matter profile is managed to find wormholes.

Quasinormal Modes and Greybody Factors of $f(R)$ gravity minimally coupled to a cloud of strings in $2+1$ Dimensions

In this paper we have studied the propagation of a massless scalar field minimally coupled to a black hole with the source of cloud of strings in $2+1$ $f(R)$gravity theory. In particular we have found analytical results for the decay rate, reflection coefficient, greybody factors, as well as the black hole temperature. On the other hand, our quasinormal modes analyses reveals stability in the propagation of a massless scalar field in the cloud of strings black hole spacetime. However, under a suitable choose of parameters an instability is found. Furthermore based on the Bekenstein conjecture on the quantization of the surface area of the black hole we find the minimal surface area associated to the black hole horizon which is in agreement with Bekenstein's proposal.

Inflation from a nonlinear magnetic monopole field nonminimally coupled to curvature

In the context of nonminimally coupled $f(R)$ gravity theories, we study early inflation driven by a nonlinear monopole magnetic field which is nonminimally coupled to curvature. In order to isolate the effects of the nonminimal coupling between matter and curvature we assume the pure gravitational sector to have the Einstein-Hilbert form. Thus, we study the most simple model with a nonminimal coupling function which is linear in the Ricci scalar. From an effective fluid description, we show the existence of an early exponential expansion regime of the Universe, followed by a transition to a radiation-dominated era. In particular, by applying the most recent results of the Planck collaboration we set the limits on the parameter of the nonminimal coupling, and the quotient of the nonminimal coupling and the nonlinear monopole magnetic scales. We found that these parameters must take large values in order to satisfy the observational constraints. Furthermore, by obtaining the relation for the graviton mass, we show the consistency of our results with the recent gravitational wave data GW$170817$ of LIGO and Virgo.
